Hakeem & co receive word from the Rangers of the Wode that the bulk of the Nerathi forces at Hara under Prince Halvath Cormarrin have retreated west over the mountains and no longer pose an immediate threat. In light of this, Lady Meda and the Amazon Queen Artemisia advise finishing the southern campaign against the brigands, to create a united realm that might challenge the power of Neo-Nerath.

Army marches from Bratanis on Selatine & Oriax. Selatine is taken from Oriax's orcs. After the battle Lord Hytirus Vex is found in his empty Hall, sunken in misery and abandoned but for a single loyal slave girl, Maria Torelli. The women of Selatine have suffered terribly during the Orc occupation.
Army marches on the Tower of Oriax. The vile orcs are slaughtered, but Oriax and his apprentice Joseph have fled via sorcery, along with a few slave girls. Thuruar uses Dismissal magic to send the captive women of the Tower back to their home dimensions. Lady Meda investigates the Mirror of Oriax in the topmost room of his tower. Meda believes the Mirror can be used to access other worlds and times - that rather than simply bring concubines here, it can potentially be used for two-way travel to other realities. However it cannot safely be moved or destroyed; Meda recommends that its room is sealed and the tower guarded. She sets wards against Oriax's return and continues her study of the mirror.
Hakeem retrieves his ancestral sword, reconsecrating it to Bondorr at Selatine. Communing with Bondorr at the cliffs on a storm-wracked night, Hakeem realises that to unleash the true power of Bondorr's own Sword he must reforge the blade himself, binding it to his will.
Army marches south. Citadel of Water conquered after a brief siege. Tug the Giff installed as Master of the Citadel.
Unseen Conclave is located with the aid of Lady Meda's sorcery. the Conclave wizards surrender without a fight.
Army marches on Carchimish, now ruled by Dark Odo. Dark Odo surrenders the city to Hakeem and pledges her allegiance, offering her services as a magist. Dark Odo indicates that the traitor Lord Ruggio has fled west to the Empire of Nerath. Lord Reynard Myrcellin assumes rule of Carchimish and (somewhat reluctantly) marries Princess Lyssana, keeping Alicia Scarnetti as his Magist. Princess Lyssana's exiled father King Koloth officially abdicates, returning from exile, and Lord Rey is coronated as King Rey I of Carchimish.
While in Carchimish Hakeem receives emissaries from the Gnomes of Ractuan and Bulwark the Warforged of Madcat Mountain, pledging their allegiance. Hakeem receives word to hurry back to Thusia.
