Goonergeezer: good evening chaps
chris107: Hi Ken.
Smon: You somehow entered the room I created before me, even though I clicked in it the moment I made it, chris
Smon: Hi Ken
Smon: My PC is pretty old & slow
chris107: It's a gift
chris107: So are we off to escourt the elven lady with her slaves?
Smon: You're in a dungeon right now.
Smon: BTW I ran a Labyrinth Lord game in the CSIO this Sunday, record here - http://smons.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/csio-tabletop-ll-game-14-15104444-bccc.html
chris107: I thought we'd done all the brigands to death and nicked their pig?
Smon: They did good, nobody died!
7:31pm 2013-11-27 Amalric Has entered the room
Smon: Yup
Smon: Hi G]
Amalric: evening Simon, gentlemen
chris107: Hi Graham
chris107: Jumping through windows
Smon: Doris wanted to try to save the brigands from bleeding out so that she could enslave them.
Smon: I'll give you 4 WIS checks, each one you make you save one.
chris107: She did.
chris107 rolls 4d20 and gets: 16, 2, 3, 5, = 26
chris107: 3 saves
Smon: ok, one dies but you save 3.
chris107: She's a natural
chris107: On with the collars and shackles
Smon: The brigands moan, they are still in bad shape.
chris107: (Doris is a bit wobbly too)
Goonergeezer: Doris is the elf yes?
Smon: lol
Amalric: what brigands?
Goonergeezer: no its cghris
chris107: The ones we defeated last week and took their pig.
Smon: Read the end of last session account to catch up -http://smons.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/ghinarian-hills-7.html
chris107: The one who looks like a girl fought well. He has risen in Doris' estimation.
chris107: Couple of head ache tablets brb
Smon: Jana Vex looks at the bolt sticking from Doris' breastplate. "You're wounded. Do you need healing?"
chris107: "Yes, thank you Sister. You are kind."
Smon: Jana nods, and mutters a prayer to Apollo as she places her hand over the quarrel and draws it out...
Smon: /roll 1d6+1
Smon rolls 1d6+1 and gets: 6, (+1) = 7
Smon: Doris' wound vanishes.
chris107: Doris smiles warmly at the priestess. "Your gods are powerful Sister."
Goonergeezer: k i am up to date now
chris107: "And your man can wield a blade..."
chris107: She adds kindly
Smon: Jana smiles at the compliments. "Thank you sister. Yes, Apollo is a mighty god, and Captain Lance is a great warrior."
Smon: /roll 1d100x4
Smon Rolls 1d100x4 and gets:

Smon: Anyone want to take it?
chris107: party pool?
Smon: Doris bandages her new slaves, the pouch catches her eye.
chris107: That's a yes then
Smon: Inside are 26 gold pieces.
Smon: split?
Goonergeezer: you keeping party pool chris?
chris107: Can do for now Ken.
Smon: ok, Doris takes the gold for safekeeping...
chris107: noted
Smon: One of the men's eyes flutter open. He moans. "Oww..."
chris107: She slips the pouch between her ample bosums.
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 5,
Smon: He looks Ghinoran.
chris107: He looks like a slave
Smon: "Who are you? oww... Why did you attack us?!" he asks plaintively.
Goonergeezer: (mind you i shouldnt get any of that, i wasnt with you and am still back at villiage i suppose
Smon: I'm pretty sure you all headed out together.
chris107: (Easier just to share everything Ken)
Smon: Kal has been in a bit of a daze, but hopefully he's better now.
chris107: "Why you are brigands and therefore outlaws. By the law of Coriptis you are now my slaves."
Smon: You're all in a cave in an east-facing slope at the foot of a hill atop which is a gigantic winged, crumbling statue of Zeus Skyfather, 10 miles or so west of Bratanis.
chris107: She gestures her recently sharpened gelding sheers. "Behave and all will go well for you..."
Smon: "ow... How do you know we're brigands?"
chris107: "You are in the place once holy to the Sky Father and you are men."
Amalric: (ah yes, it all comes back to me now. Lance decapitated two brigands most handily, with the aid of Dick's magic sword )
chris107: (A fine piece of work )
Smon: He looks puzzled. "Slaves? Er... so, you'll use me for your pleasure?" he says, hopefully.
Smon: (must have only decapitated 1, since Doris saved 3/4)
chris107: Snip, snip go the gelding sheers "Silence slave!" she roars.
Amalric: (funny that. i rolled two 20s and damage rolls of 7 and 8, plus bonuses, so they were fairly well toasted!)
Smon: The man (brigand?) winces, and falls silent.
chris107: (Try and be more careful of the merchandise this week Graham )
Amalric: "How do we know you're NOT brigands? How can you prove otherwise?"
Goonergeezer: "yoos weer gon fier rrows at us n tol us to drop wepons, dat mayk yoo bandets"
chris107: Doris shows the hole in her burnished breastplate.
Smon: "Er... I'm Ulysses of Carchimish. My friends and I fell foul of one of the terrible brigand gangs that infest our fair city, To avoid being inducted into gang culture we were forced to relocate. We're refugees, seekers of asylum from terrible circumstances..."
chris107: "No - your'e slaves."
Smon: He looks at the hole in Doris' breastplate. "Sorry about that."
chris107: She gestures at the collars and shackles.
chris107: She smiles sweetly at him.
chris107: Sweet like an adder
Amalric: "Then why didn't you seek asylum in the village?"
Amalric: (LOL what's it called again?!)
Amalric: "In Bratanis?"
chris107: "Captain, why are you talking with the merchandise?"
Smon: (Graham, just checked dmg, you did 11 and 10, not enough to insta-kill, as you were using a 1-handed sword)
Smon: Ulysses looks over at Lance. "Bratanis? That's near here, right? We came from the west - Carchimish..."
Goonergeezer: Kal punches the one s;lave doing all the talking
chris107: Do they look fit to stagger
Goonergeezer: "Big wurds, shut up"
Smon: "ow!"
chris107: oops DID they look fit to stagger
Amalric: (ah cool, thanks)
chris107: Doris nods appreciatively
Goonergeezer: Mumble "Silum,circstanses fuges's"
Smon: The slaves are starting to wake up. They could walk slowly, but they'd not make the 10+ miles to Bratanis today.
Amalric: "What can you tell us of these caves?" Lance stands between Kal and the slaves
Smon: It's afternoon currently.
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 1,
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 6,
Goonergeezer: Kal brightens up at Lances words amd immediatly starts rummaging therough his pack for his knife set

Goonergeezer: "Yoos tel im wot he wonts or der nive cum oot"
Smon: "Well, these caves are infested with all kinds of horrors, but they're the only shelter for miles..."
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 2,
Smon: Then his eyes go wide and he looks past you - you turn to see skeletal forms bearing down on you from the northern side-passage...
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 5,
chris107: Eek!
Smon: 5 skeletons launch themselves at you, rusty spears and swords raised... (got surprise)
chris107: Doris draws her sword
Smon: /roll 1d4x5
Goonergeezer: "Aww Dick wonted bons fer der Doggie"
Smon Rolls 1d4x5 and gets:

Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 6,
Smon: 6 dmg! The rusty spear bites deep.
chris107: Ouch!
Amalric: 5/12
chris107: Doris will set about them with her sword.
Smon: 5/12 yup
Smon: You all attacking?
Goonergeezer: seeing Lance get wounded Kal rushes to his rescue
Smon: roll inits
chris107: yup
Goonergeezer rolls 1d6 and gets: 6,
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 2,
chris107 rolls 1d6+1 and gets: 3, (+1) = 4
chris107: (from the flank if possible?)
Amalric rolls 1d6+1 and gets: 2, (+1) = 3
Smon: The skels turn so you can't flank them.
chris107: Okay
Smon: You strike before they can - roll to hit, AC7
Goonergeezer rolls 1d20+4 and gets: 16, (+4) = 20
chris107 rolls 1d20+3 and gets: 8, (+3) = 11

Amalric rolls 1d8+3 and gets: 5, (+3) = 8
Smon: Lance smashes a second.
chris107: (I assume I miss?)
Smon: AC 7 so yeah!
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 4,
Smon: Jana steps back and raises her hand. "Begone, foul abominations!"
Smon: /roll 2d6
Smon rolls 2d6 and gets: 5, 6, = 11
Goonergeezer: "Dayz skeltons stoopid, not abonnashuns"
Smon: The three remaining skeletons, instead of attacking, turn and flee back down the passage.
Amalric: "Praise Mitra! Nice work Jana!"
chris107: "Haha! Your god is indeed powerful!"
Amalric: (Lance mutters under his breath that she should have been watching their backs and saw them coming anyway, stupid cow)
Smon: Jana is breathing heavily. "Yes... I have never done that before..."
chris107:
Goonergeezer: seeing them run Kal sets about collecting any large bones for the hound back in the village
Smon: The bones are yellowed with age, but marrows intact.
chris107: "So do we rest here tonight with these unwelcome guests or seek safer shelter?"
Amalric: "If we don't stay here with them, they will die."
Smon: Ulysses: "I know a safe place to rest, deep in the catacombs..."
Amalric: "I'm not sure there is anywhere safer...and I don't trust these chaps."
Amalric: "Besides, we have a caravan to catch."
chris107: "Our merchandise won't make it back to town in one go."
Goonergeezer: "den we stiffs dem here?"
Smon: Ulysses: "Hey..."
chris107: "The elf girl offered 14 gold each. These slaves will fetch 50 each at least."
Goonergeezer: "shh oar der nives cum owt"
Smon: Jana nods. "It's true the sea merchants pay much gold for slaves, to work the Latifundia of the great cities..."
chris107: "This is good stock, poor specimens I admit. But they will sell."
Amalric: "Well shall we leave? Perhaps we can find a cave or something on the way."
Amalric: "Or Jana and I could return to the village to get help, while you two take the slaves half way?"
Smon: Jana nods. "This warren is a cursed place. We'd have little rest here."
chris107: "You slave. Where is this safe place within? And will we be able to capture more of your kind there?"
Smon: Ulysses nods. "Um... yes, there might be some more chaps there..."
chris107: (I'm going to need more slave collars and shackles )
chris107: OOC - I'll leave it up to you guys to decide. My survival rate tells me I should )
Smon: LOL
Amalric: "Then let's go. There might be a safe place here but it is doubtless full of people like these folk. Which would mean trouble for us. Let's go."
Smon: brb need to get a bite
Goonergeezer: "we warks em bak as far as we can, wen day drops we stops"
chris107: I'll grab a bite myself them.
Amalric: almost time for another beer
Smon: back
chris107: I'm here
Smon: OK, you haul the men to their feet and march them out of the cave.
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 3,
chris107: Doris arranges the remaining body and the skeletons like theyv'e been fighting and brushes away tracks as best she can.
Smon: Finally a wandering monster check turns up negative and you emerge back into the sunlight
chris107: (Taking the pig with up)
Amalric: what time of day is it, roughly?
Smon: The sun is lowering behind the vast statue, casting its shadow over you as you return east down the track towards Bratanis.
Smon: It's about 4pm.
Smon: The wounded captives progress slowly, you've only gone a couple miles when night falls.
Smon: Jana looks worried. "Soon the Ghuls will be hunting... We should find shelter."
chris107: Any likely spots to camp?
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 6,
Smon: You don't see any caves. What are you looking for?
Amalric: caves
Amalric: narrow gulleys or clefts at a push
Amalric: defensible positions
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 2,
Amalric: or treehouses
Amalric:
chris107: Even a stand of trees
chris107: Tree houses would be better
Amalric: an empty castle awaiting new owners
Amalric: a winnebago
Smon: There are plenty of scrubby trees, and you spot a dry gulley upslope to your left/north.
chris107: (No more beers for Graham )
chris107: Somewhere we can tether our cattle.
Amalric: that will do
Smon: Jana points at the gulley. "If we shelter there, we should be safe, as long as it doesn't rain..."
Amalric: (not the lack of beer)
chris107: We'd best not cook the pig, how about slicing thin pieces off to dry?
Amalric: (cue heavens opening)
Goonergeezer: "I gota salt for drien owy der meet"
Goonergeezer: owt
chris107: "Perfect "
chris107: And we can leave to pig carcass some distance behind to attract predators.
Smon: GM: You head off the trail, up into the gulley. Do you leave the pig behind?
chris107: (Makes sense)
Smon: /roll 1d6x2
Smon Rolls 1d6x2 and gets:
1 = 1
3 = 3
Smon: /roll 1d20
Smon rolls 1d20 and gets: 2,
Smon: Leaving the pig behind, you take shelter in the gulley, a few hundred yards up, out of sight of the trail.
chris107: Many hundreds of yards away from the pig I hope?
Smon: The moon rises. Soon you hear a high pitched cackling sound in the distance, from where you left the pig. Hyenas, perhaps, or gnolls?
chris107: Keeping careful watch on our stock.
chris107: While we feast on dried salt pork.
Smon: /roll 1d100x4
Smon Rolls 1d100x4 and gets:
67 = 67
100 = 100
73 = 73
99 = 99
Amalric: wow
chris107: a 100
Amalric: and a 99! lowest roll of 67
chris107: Hope they needed low
Amalric: (great character if you're playing Boot Hill or Arneson's Adventures in Fantasy)
Smon: You munch on your pork. The moonlight glimmers on something white, a little further up the gulley - a skeleton, half buried, one arm raised as if in supplication.
Smon: It looks human.
chris107: Have the gnolls/hyenas gone away?
Amalric: "I hope that fellow didn't die up here..."
Smon: You can still hear the cackling.
chris107: (Wait 'till they've gone to investigate?)
Smon: Your slaves huddle together nervously.
chris107: (Or go have a peek?)
chris107: Doris does the finger to lips Shhhhh thing to them.
Smon: /roll 1d6
Goonergeezer: Kal creeps towards the skreletons upraised hand as quietlt as ppossible
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 6,
Smon: Kal moves over to the moonlit bones.
Smon: A broken chain, such as might once have held a pendant or diadem, is wrapped around the fingers of the raised hand.
Smon: Make a WIS check.
Goonergeezer rolls 1d20 and gets: 16,
Goonergeezer: fail
Smon: ok, you don't see anything else. There are a few tattered rags on the bones.
Smon: /roll 1d6
chris107: Anything laying around that may have been attached once?
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 4,
Smon: It looks like it may have been a woman.
Smon: Lance make a WIS check
Smon: or not...
Amalric rolls 1d20 and gets: 12,
Amalric: FAIL!
chris107: Anything under the rags?
Smon: You don't see anything. The night remains dry, luckily.
Amalric: I dropped WIS to 10 to get +1 on my initial STR
chris107: Take the chain anyway?
Smon: Searching under the rags you find a broken belt, you get the impression the corpse may have been looted, long after death.
Amalric: I'm guessing we failed to notice all the +3 swords lying around...
Smon: The belt leather is rotten, it crumbles in your hand.
chris107:
Amalric: "Why would a corpse be looted, and yet an amulet left behind? Perhaps it is cursed..."
Smon: There's no amulet, just the broken chain.
chris107: Doris makes the sign to ward off evil.
chris107: What's the chain made of?
Smon: In the distance the cackling sounds are dying down.
Smon: The chain links look to be copper.
chris107: Thanks.
chris107: take them anyway
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 3,
chris107: Then watches, sleep last search of the area before heading off early to elfy slave driver?
Smon: GM: The night passes dry, and hidden from the surrounding terrain, you are unmolested. You awake to a muggy dawn.
Smon: Your slaver friend is due to leave Bratanis in a couple hours, and it will take you most of the day to shuffle your wounded captives the 8 miles to the village.
chris107: Grrrr!
chris107: Shall we send a runner to ask her to wait?
Goonergeezer: which way would the s;lavre caravan be going?
Goonergeezer: past here?
Smon: Oriax's tower lies south east of Bratanis, on the coast.
Smon: map - https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlyye5Qps6Hdz1qFStWiS5Urm8Jil6flnVNc4t1bXZU7noar3SrW8m_Z6wrUxaEdQLghJ-OkiSoQTqH4xX_zUsPaaeZOoGWWYvv8m_208UwnAutifKoKZdUYmu7z_4HM28lvVNdP-x3dE/s640/Selatine+Area.bmp
Amalric: Lance and Jana could run on ahead
Goonergeezer: "I's keep der merchdise saf Lanse"
chris107: Opposite direction, may be an idea
Smon: If you want to do 8 miles in rough terrain in 2 hours you will need to strip off your armour and go light.
Goonergeezer: "nose! yoos stay ere, i gows, wonts to see Ellen fore i gows"
Goonergeezer: Kal starts stripping off his armour for a quick 8 mile run
Smon: Lance, save vs poison at +2 to get hp back
Amalric rolls 1d20+2 and gets: 6, (+2) = 8
chris107:
Amalric: i haven't made one of those saves yet
Smon: fail, the gaunt curse lies heavy on you.
Amalric: okay, Kal can run ahead
Smon: Jana inspects Lance's wounds and looks concerned.
Amalric: might be a comedy moment - Kal trying to tell the elf merchant where we are!
chris107:
Smon: Kal strips down to the minimum and jogs off down the trail...
Goonergeezer: "fit gows blak, i chops it off"
chris107: Yes, that should be fun.
Amalric: (what was the elf called again? started with an S...)
Smon: Seroni of Onhir
Smon: Jana, Lance, Doris and the prisoners watch Kal jog off out of sight.
chris107: Seroni
chris107: oh too late
Smon: /roll 1d6x2
Smon Rolls 1d6x2 and gets:
6 = 6
2 = 2
Amalric: i had the S and the vowel ending, just the middle!
chris107: Collecting up kal's stuff we should set off.
Smon: /roll 1d8
Goonergeezer: (just clothes, shield and sword?)
Smon rolls 1d8 and gets: 2,
Goonergeezer: ~(or minus shield?)
Smon: no shield
Smon: /roll 1d12
Smon rolls 1d12 and gets: 5,
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 2,
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 5,
Smon: heh...
Smon: /roll 2d6
Smon rolls 2d6 and gets: 2, 5, = 7
Goonergeezer: (thats a lot of 5's and 2's)
chris107: It is
chris107: Hope I'm number 1, 3 or 4
Amalric: on a d6, I hope i'm number 7
Smon: Kal has been jogging for an hour and is maybe three miles from Bratanis, when a shadow falls over him. He looks up to see a giant hawk, the size of a small pony, swooping down at him!
Smon: (It got surprise, too!)
chris107: That would be better still
chris107: That's a f***g big hawk!
Smon: /roll 1d20
Smon rolls 1d20 and gets: 17,
Smon: Claws rake Kal's back!
Smon: /roll 2d6
Smon rolls 2d6 and gets: 3, 4, = 7
Smon: 7 dmg
Goonergeezer: (Kal is gonna be a bird rider or a birds dinner, not sure which yet)
chris107: Ouch!
Smon: roll init
Goonergeezer rolls 1d6 and gets: 3,
chris107: Think of it as a big turkey Kal!
Goonergeezer: any cover nearby?
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 4,
Smon: There are trees to either side of the trail.
Goonergeezer: Kal runs to the cover of the trees....
Goonergeezer: (if he survives)
Smon: The hawk pecks and claws at you as you run...
Smon: /roll 1d20+2
Smon rolls 1d20+2 and gets: 7, (+2) = 9
Smon: hit
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 4,
Smon: Kal takes another 4 dmg before he makes it into the cover of the trees.
chris107: Bloody Hell Ken!
Smon: /roll 2d6
Smon rolls 2d6 and gets: 3, 2, = 5
Smon: Kal crouches down beneath the branches. He can see the hawk circling high overhead, waiting for him to break cover.
Goonergeezer: I am staying put
Smon: Time passes...
chris107: (Maybe we'll catch up?)
Goonergeezer: can i continue but under the cover of the trees for as far as i can
Smon: The tree cover ispretty scrubby and intermittent, but Kal can make slow progress, scuttling from one tree to the next.
Smon: /roll 2d6
Smon rolls 2d6 and gets: 6, 2, = 8
Smon: The hawk stays with him for several hours, until the sound of approaching travellers from the west can be heard.
Smon: Doris and Lance see a giant hawk flying off west towards the distant mountains.
Smon: It's a bit past noon.
chris107: Doris prepares her spear in case it plunges towards us.
Amalric: Lance readies his bow
Smon: Kal, crouching beneath the branches you see your comrades approaching along the trail. Your wounds sting.
Goonergeezer: "Lanse, Dooris, Jana is me Kal, der bird tris to eets me, ad to ide ere"
chris107: "Kal? Are you all right?"
Smon: Jana rushes over towards Kal, sees the bloody mess of his back and shoulders. "Oh no!"
Smon: "I can heal you... a little."
Goonergeezer: "NO der burd urt me, I is stingin
chris107: Doris will keep an eye on the bird
Goonergeezer: "Carnt see but urts lots, isit bad?"
Smon: The bird has flown about a third of a mile west, and is now circling again.
Smon: Jana. "The wounds are bloody but I can heal them..."
Smon: She touches Kal's bare back, praying.
chris107: Doris will set her spear if it looks like it's going to dive.
Smon: /roll 1d6+1
Smon rolls 1d6+1 and gets: 2, (+1) = 3
Smon: 3 hp back
Goonergeezer: "we miss der carryvan"
Smon: at 10/18
chris107: "Never mind Kal. We can start our own with these slaves."
Smon: Jana: "I think they'll be coming back through Bratanis, we could join them in a few days I suppose.. though we'd lose pay. Or we could try to catch them."
Amalric: Lance looks rather annoyed that Jana has healed Kal over him. The fact that he never mentioned it to her is not the point
chris107: @ Simon - is slavery universally accepted and legal?
Smon: GM: Yes, although there are rumours of a weird western cult called Mycretians who preach against slavery.
Goonergeezer: (my cretins)
chris107: Thanks.
Smon: Jana looks to Doris. "We'll not catch Seroni with your slave along. If you give me a few days I can heal them enough they can walk, then we could join her when she returns to Bratanis?"
chris107: "Fine by me Dear Priestess. But Kal's back looks bad too."
chris107: (OOC They've been more bloody bother than they're worth!)
Amalric: "Let's head back to the village, under cover if we must."
Smon: Jana: "I have exhausted my healing for today."
Goonergeezer: (ooc said i should stiff them)
Smon: The giant hawk must be aware of you, but shows no inclination to take on such a large group (it's not stupid!)
Amalric: (brb, have to get the kids to bed)
chris107: (OOC just seemed to fit right in to Doris' character. We all make mistakes )
Goonergeezer: "if der burd cums bak, i amstring der moufy one and der burd gets der fud"
chris107: Does there look to be good eating on the Hawk?
chris107: A hawk feather cloak would look pretty cool
Smon: It's too far away to tell, but if it's anything like most hawks, probably not.
Smon: You continue east...
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 2,
Smon: You reach Bratanis that afternoon without further incident, your captives limping.
Smon: The guards let you in. Seroni and her men are gone of course.
Smon: You see Ruggio approaching from the longhouse, affixing his plumed helm.
Smon: "Hi there! All back this time, eh? Who are these lovely fellows?"
chris107: "Slaves."
Smon: Ruggio nods affably. "Great stuff! There are rings in the slave pit you can shackle them too, round behind the stables."
chris107: "You are kind soldier."
Smon: Ruggio directs you to an 8' deep pit faced in stone, between the stables and the inn.
Smon: Ruggio grins at Doris.
chris107: "Who do we pay to feed and water our cattle?"
Smon: "What are they? Bandits? Ask Mako to take care of them, his rates are very fair. Peiron our Smith can sell you more chains if you need 'em."
Goonergeezer: "Kal turns to the slaves "I sleeps in der barn, yoos make der noiz and is cuts yet tung owt, yoos runs and is neecaps yer, yer be gud and is feeds yer and givs water, kay?"
Smon: The slaves quiver and nod miserably.
Smon: GM: You can secure your captives in the pit. What else are you doing?
Goonergeezer: with that said Kal stamps off to the inn for some food and to give the hound some nice bones
chris107: (Shall I take the slaves food etc. out of the party pool? I assume we'll split their sale price.)
Goonergeezer: (yea)
chris107: After securing them Doris will see Mako to make arrangements for the cattle to be well fed and watered.
chris107: Then see the smith for another 3 sets of chains, shackles and slave collars.
Smon: At the Bratanis Inn, Doris speaks to Mako "I can feed and water them for five coppers a day each."
chris107: "Perfect. Thank you."
Smon: Mako grins. "You're welcome."
chris107: (The first 15CP crossed off)
Smon: Doris finds the local smithy easily; a big black bearded Ghinoran is hammering iron.
Smon: "Two gold a set, that's six gold" says Peiron the smith.
chris107: Noted
Smon: At the Inn, Ellen is very happy to see Kal, but then notes his grimace of pain. "You're wounded!"
Smon: brb
Amalric: looks like Lance and Jana will impose on Lady Aeschela or whatever she's calle
chris107: "We need to get our cattle to market soon. Perhaps we can secure more along the way?"
chris107: "Where would you recommend for a good sale Sir Smith?"
Goonergeezer: "Got tacked by der big burd, relly urt me, fort i was gona, and neva see yoos agen, i gots to rest up fer sum dayz tho, mebbe i sees yoos sum?"
Smon: Ellen nods. "Of course! Do you have money to stay at the Inn?"
Smon: The smith nods to Doris. "Girl slaves sell well at Kren's Cairn - they need women for wives. For male slaves you'd best head for Ahyf, the only real town hereabouts."
Goonergeezer: "Dooris as der muny, dun no fit's lots"
chris107: "Many thanks."
Amalric: "Ahyf? Where's that?"
Goonergeezer: "don mind stayn in der staybals tho"
chris107: I can't see it on the map
chris107: (Plenty Ken)
Smon: GM: Lance & Jana go to see Lady Aeschela; Jana explains you'll be staying a few more days. Aeschela: "Of course, I quite understand. Keep the guest chamber."
Smon: Big map etc here - http://smons.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/the-ghinarian-hills.html
chris107: @ GM - How much a night for two rooms full board at the inn?
Smon: Mako says 3sp/person in shared room for 2 or 5 sp for single room.
Smon: Peiron: "Ahyf is on the coast, north of here a few days."
chris107: 2 single rooms for tonight then please.
Smon: "You can get directions at Theber, the next village north of here on the old road."
chris107: Still can't see the town but noticed Demon and Owlbears on the map
Smon: GM: Doris pays for nicely appointed private rooms for herself and Kal, while Jana and Lance dine in the longhouse. Before they retire, Aeschela: "You are quite dirty! I'll have the servants fill the bath pool for you."
Smon: Jana nods happily at the thought of a hot bath after all this time away from Selatine and her strange villa's hot running water.
Amalric: "Why yes, we are!" remarks Lance. "Why just last night, Jana...oh, wait...I see what you
Amalric: *mean
chris107:
Amalric: "An opportunity to recall our first meeting, Jana my dear. Well, not so much the end of it, but still..."
Smon: Jana smiles... The bath is made ready with hot water and soaps; Jana & Lance bathe and naturally one thing leads to another...
Smon: The water and nookie eases the pain from Lance's wounds.
Smon: Kal has retired to his own room, it's late at night when he hears a knock on the door.
Goonergeezer: "hoos dere?"
Smon: "It's Ellen..." comes Ellen's voice. "I brought you some fresh bandages, and water to bathe your wounds..."
Smon: She sounds a bit nervous.
Goonergeezer: "Yoos relly nise, fank yoo Ellen" Kal strips off his shirt to show his raked back plus an enourmous amount of old scar tissue
Smon: Ellen comes in. She gulps, looking over Kal's muscular and scarred back. She dabs a cloth and starts to clean...
Goonergeezer: (if you have seen "the long good friday" think of Razors and his 178' of scar tissue)
chris107: (Ouch!)
Smon: Tenderly the girl cleans every inch of Kal's wounded back and shoulders.
Smon: She rinses the bloody cloth. "You should probably clean your other bits too, I mean..." she blushes. "For hygiene..."
Goonergeezer: "der burd nerly ad me fur gud"
Goonergeezer: "s;ok i was in der pool larst weak"
Smon: Ellen nods, and stands. "I should go, my brothers will be wondering where I am..."
Goonergeezer: "Fank yoos Ellen, yoos relly nise to me, i likes yoo lots yoo now"
Smon: Ellen blushes, looking down, but smiling. "I like you too, Kal... goodnight now." She backs towards the door.
Goonergeezer: "mebbe wen i cums bak we cud go fer a wark or summat?"
Goonergeezer: "nite Ellen"
Smon: She looks up, brushing a lock of hair from her eyes. "Y-yes... I'd like that. Down by the river, maybe. Goodnight."
Smon: Ellen leaves.
Smon: Next day...
Smon: Kal, you can roll d2+1 for hp back due to care received.
Goonergeezer: "gudnite, be safe............luvs yoo (last silently under his breath)
Smon: Lance, save vs poison at +4.
Goonergeezer rolls 1d2+1 and gets: 1 (+1) = 2
Smon: (wife not back, need to go get child to sleep or he'll not get up tomorrow)
chris107: Cool
Goonergeezer: (kay, coffee and wc break
Smon: wife back!
Goonergeezer:
Amalric rolls 1d20+4 and gets: 10, (+4) = 14
Amalric: hurrah!
Smon: pass
chris107:
Amalric: finally
Smon: Kal gets d3 hp back
Goonergeezer rolls 1d3 and gets: 2
Smon: oops, lance gets d3
Goonergeezer: 14/18
Smon: kal got his 2
chris107: (Oooo The Chapman's are at the Serpantine)
Smon: Jana casts clw on Kal, since the gaunt curse stops Lance being magically healed.
Smon: /roll 1d6+1
Smon rolls 1d6+1 and gets: 2, (+1) = 3
Smon: #17/18
Amalric rolls 1d3 and gets: 1
Smon: Lance gets his 1 hp back
Amalric: LOL
Goonergeezer: "fanks Jana, Yoos a Prestess, sees ise not stoopid i members"
Smon: Lance 6/12
Smon: Jana nods, smiling. "That's right, Kal."
Smon: Mako is looking at Kal across the taproom floor, grinning knowingly.
Smon: (will be stopping in a few mins)
Smon: GM: Are you planning to stay in Bratanis until Seroni returns, or leave once you & the slaves are healed up?
chris107: Prob best to head off and sell our slaves
chris107: Otherwise all the profit goes out of the deal
Smon: OK, I'll aim to work out the numbers before next session.
chris107: But I'll work along with what you guys want.
Smon: Are you all good to play next Wednesday?
Amalric: Lance would like to heal up a bit
chris107: Nice one guys. Thanks for the game Simon
Amalric: i'm good for that
chris107: Next Wednesday is probably my last chance this year
Smon: You'll probably be resting up around 4 days so Lance & the slaves can heal up.
Goonergeezer: yep im good for wed too
chris107: I'll cross off 4 days money
Smon: OK, I'll try to make it a good one Chris. I seem to have a bit of flu, but next week I have plenty of time off, should be good.
Smon: ok, I'll post log, thx everyone.
After returning to Bratanis on 15/10 the group rest for several days while Doris' slaves recover from their wounds (Lance gets three save vs poison rolls to heal from the Gaunt Curse).
On the evening of 19/10 the convoy of the elven slaver Seroni is spotted returning to Bratanis, crossing the bridge over the Thrace river with her six men, half dozen pack mules and Shagpa (huge shaggy marsupials) and a coffle of eleven shapely slave-girls...
