Background:
Eardvulf is an Altanian warrior of the powerful Sea-Wolf Clan of Vigil Sound, who are kin to and allies with the Grey-Wolf Clan of the Midnight Goddess Hills. On New Year's Day 4446, Minars Rapak, Clan Chief of the Sea-Wolf, found Eardvulf in bed with both Minars's wife Lina & his eldest daughter Valyara. Eardvulf left hurriedly, heading west.
Two weeks and 165 miles later Eardvulf was on the road west of Clear Meadows, when he came across a sacked nobles' carriage with dead horses, drover & guard. He followed a blood trail south into the trees and found a gang of brigand cultists with the captured noblewoman. He successfully ambushed them, wiped them out and rescued the lovely Lady Anna of Hara there, but a sudden massive thunderstorm forced the pair to take shelter in the nearby caves...
Lady Anna of Hara
This shapely blonde Nerathi noblewoman is the half sister of Lord Namelin, the ruler of Hara, being the daughter of Namelin's mother Llannet by her second husband, Grigorus (dec'd).
She was returning from pilgrimage to the Shrine of St Irig at Clear Meadows, where each noble of Hara must light a candle on their 21st birthday, when her carriage was ambushed on the road by cultists. Her bodyguard and drover were slain, and she was captured.
