Smon: 20 is max level, but beyond 20 you get 'Epic Boons' 1 per 30,000 XP, the system looks very playable.
Smon: The monster numbers are up, too.

Smon: (no, was empty). Beyond the doorway a short 10' passage opens out into the west wall of a large, 8-sided chamber with 3 other exits in the N, S & E walls. The walls are hung with tapestries.
Smon: This chamber looks a lot more interesting...
atherton: I'll gingerly enter and study the tapestries

Smon: The south exit is blocked by a door set in a 10' deep recess. The door bulges inwards towards you, and a stream of water is flowing from under the door, north across the chamber and exiting through the north archway.

Smon: The tapestries are long, thick and darkly hued. They depict epic battles of years gone by - Irig defending Clear Meadows from the Gnolla; Belaras casting down the Death Priests of Thracia; Dyson Logos driving the Deathwalkers from the surface world...

Smon: Pillars set at 20' intervals run down the centre of the great hall, lit by glowing gemstones in the arched ceiling some 20' above.
