Smon: Hi Chris
chris107: Hi Simon
Smon: So we got a 'maybe' from Graham, nothing from Kjato or atherton right?
chris107: I spoke with Ath yesterday
chris107: He says he's going to try
Smon: We can either start with Hakeem right away, or wait & see if anyone shows. If we start with Hakeem I'm happy to switch from him (if still alive) to the others if they show, with the potential for you to then gain assistance.
Smon: A solo escape or glorious death would be the most heroic though.
chris107: I'm game to give it a go. It's in Hakeems nature not to rely on others
Smon: BTW I can't fault you for playing H's CG alignment to the hilt, but as I mentioned, Malenn is going to be really annoyed with him.
chris107: He's a proper Alpha Male.
Smon: 'annoyed' was not the first word that came to mind.
8:35am  2015-5-08 Amalric Has entered the room
chris107: Though if he survives this I think even his dull brain will wake up a bit
Smon: Hm, Alpha is a pack leader. He's more a Rogue Male.
chris107: Hehe
chris107: Hi Graham
Smon: Talking of which, hi G!
chris107: Yeah that's a very shrewd observation Simon.
Amalric: LOL, good morning!
chris107: And does fit with his CG alignment
Amalric: be right with you
Smon: Suggest we start with Rey shortly and see if by an amazing coincidence he can arrive in time to help Hakeem with his predicament. But I think I'll do a wee bit with H first...
Smon: GM: Hakeem awakens in a cage of iron and wood, chained to the timber by iron collar and manacles.
chris107: Hakeem sneaks a look through the bars
chris107: Trying not to show that he is awake. Yet.
Smon: Light filters into the rumbling wagon through the canvas covering above. The chains are sturdy - for their intended purpose of transporting captured slave girls to market.
chris107: So he's not visible to those outside due to the canvas cover?
chris107: If he feels he will not be seen he will test the strength of the fixings of the chain to the wagon.
Smon: The cage fills most of the back of the wagon, with doors to front and back. At the front he can see an empty space where the Orcs store chests of opals when bringing to market, and through a gap in the canvas awning he can make out the bulky forms of two orcs sat with their backs to him on the running board - one the plate-armoured Orog, the other the drover. The oxen are out of sight but he can hear their tread mixed with the sounds of the wagon wheels.
chris107: He will time his attemps with load rumbles of the wheels.
Smon: From the back of the cage, again there is a gap in the canvas awning, Hakeem can see the trail behind him, leading north along the seacoast towards Selatine.
chris107: loud
Smon: /roll d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 11,
Smon: /roll 1d4
Smon rolls 1d4 and gets: 44,
Smon: 4 Orcs are trudging along in column behind the wagon, the nearest some 90' or so away; most show signs of recent battle.
Smon: /roll d20+6
Smon rolls 1d20+6 and gets: 1818, (+6) = 24
chris107: He strains his mighty arms, bracing his legs to heave at the chain.
Smon: heh. Hakeem tests the chains - the fixings pop out easily from the wood, leaving his hands free. A tug frees his neck, too.
Smon: Didn't even need to Rage.
chris107:
Smon: The battered-looking Orcs seem oblivious.
chris107: He grins wickedly. These bonds were made for slave girls
8:46am  2015-5-08 Murdock Berk Has entered the room
Amalric: okay i'm ready
8:46am  2015-5-08 Murdock Berk Has exited the room
Smon: GM: The orcs show signs of having tended their wounds (spent healing dice)
chris107: So H is now free of the bonds to the wagon?
chris107: Though still in chains?
Smon: Yes, but still in the cage. He could try to bust the lock on one of the two cage doors, or bend the bars.
chris107: He will creep, wolf like on his belly to the rear and inspect the strength of the bars and lock.
chris107: Thinking of again bracing himself and kicking the door out (if that's the way it opens) or if the bars look rickerty he will try to bend them instead.
chris107: Bending the bars would be quieter I guess. Or he again will wait until the cart goes into a pot hole or otherwise makes a noise.
chris107: Shall I roll something?
Smon: Rey - you left Selatine on early morning of 11/1/46, taking the good ship 'Arcadia' on the short 10 mile trip to Verius along with the Ralluan maid Alli and Vex's Weaponmaster Balthus for escort. The ship docks at lunchtime at Verius, where you are greeted warmly by Lord Kaldrac, old friends with Balthus. Rey is a bit queasy after the voyage, but after a light lunch at Verius served by the Lord's three nubile concubines, you proceed on towards Theber, arriving by mid-afternoon.
Smon: GM: Hakeem inspects the cage. The bars are iron, not particularly good quality. The door lock should be easier to bust, but noisy.
Smon: Wait for a noise then bust lock?
Smon: I think that'll be a DEX check to time right.
Smon: not prof
chris107: He will first try and bend the bars, to the side first. So he can try to slip away rather than burst out
Smon: ok.
Smon: /roll d20+6
Smon rolls 1d20+6 and gets: 1212, (+6) = 18
chris107: He's a wolf after all
Smon: Yup, the bars give way with some effort, after a minute or so he's made a big enough gap to slip through.
chris107: He will wait until the cart turns slightly and obscures the view from behind then will try to slip out and roll into any cover.
chris107: (He'll look out for ditches and stuff to the side.
Smon: Hakeem climbs through the gap, now in the narrow space between the cage and the wooden lower wall of the wagon, about 2' of wood then the canvas.
Amalric: Despite his sickness, Rey does find enough moments aboard ship to behave like his usual self, which means Alli is rather tired come the morning
chris107: Ah okay. He will look for fastenings from canvas to wood.
Smon: Hakeem locates a tough braided fastening. Easy for a Thief with a knife, but Hakeem is unarmed...
Amalric: He is delighted to meet the Lord Vilius' 3 comely daughters again
chris107: Mmmmm
Smon: Rey - was only on the ship for three hours, enough time to introduce himself to Alli though...
chris107: How taut to the wood is the canvas?
Smon: /roll d20+8
Smon rolls 1d20+8 and gets: 1717, (+8) = 25
Smon: Alli seems quite smitten with Rey.
Smon: /roll d6
chris107:
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 33,
Smon: Moderately taught, a halfling might slip through.
Amalric: plenty one can do in three hours...
Amalric: ...when not throwing up
Smon: GM: I'd like to do ca 20 minutes with Rey now I think, then switch back ok?
8:59am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has exited the room
Amalric: fine with me
9:01am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has entered the room
Smon: GM: A herald announces the arrival of Rey & Balthus to Lord Vilius' Hall. Rey enters, seeing Vilius on his throne, flanked by two of his unmarried daughters, Cassia and Peony.
chris107: Yup, no problem
Amalric: Rey enters and bows deeply before Lord Vilius
Smon: Sundry others line raised benches & tables along the sides of the Hall, including Weaponmaster Malthis and his wife and children.
Smon: Lord Vilius regards Rey with a neutral expression, inclines his head slightly.
Smon: He drawls: "Welcome back, Lord Reynard. You were a little delayed..."
9:04am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has exited the room
Amalric: "My Lord. Yes, there has been much to do around Selatine..."
Smon: Cassia and Peony give Rey coquettish smiles as Vilius continues: "I'm afraid it seems your mission to Lady Aeschela was not successful. Also she seems to be now missing a necklace, mm?" he raises an eyebrow.
Smon: "You wouldn't happen to have come across it, by any chance?"
Amalric: "Yes....I am afraid my efforts were not successful, though I would hope to do better should I make the Lady's acquaintance again. And necklace? What necklace? What did it look like? Can't say I've seen anything..."
Smon: Vilius waves a hand. "Black Pearl, apparently. Very precious. One of a pair, the other long lost, sadly."
Amalric: "You'd think Lady Aeschela carried enough on her chest already..."
Amalric: "A pair? How interesting. I bet they would be worth quite the sum now."
9:08am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has entered the room
Amalric: "Shame really. I shall endeavour to keep an eye out for those."
Smon: "For some reason she seems to suspect you... " at Rey's crack about Aeschela's chest the warriors of the Hall erupt into guffaws, even Vilius smiles very slightly.
9:08am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has exited the room
Smon: Vilius nods. "Yes, do keep an eye out for it. Goblins and Thieves are everywhere these days, I fear."
Amalric: "I cannot imagine why. Mere coincidence that. Why any disappearance when I was there would only reflect poorly on you, and I could never condone such an action."
Smon: /roll d20+8
Smon rolls 1d20+8 and gets: 1212, (+8) = 20
Amalric: "Goblins, yes. And undead, I have seen."
Smon: Vilius nods. "Poorly. Indeed. Not that she seemed inclined to join our Alliance, in any case. Too much fear of Yusan... " He turns to Princesses Cassia & Peony. "Daughters, take these two gentlemen to the bath-pool to wash and dress for dinner. We'll feast tonight, and discuss what matters trouble Selatine."
Smon: Cassia and Peony smile and giggle. Bearded Balthus smiles back brightly.
Amalric: Rey nods, and turns happily toward the two girls
Smon: The princesses escort Rey & Balthus from the main hall, Alli tagging along behind.
Smon: Peony: "Oh Rey, we hear you've had ever so many adventures since we last saw you!"
Smon: Cassia: "All kinds of monsters..."
Smon: Peony: "And pirates! That evil Tsamar! Did you fight her?!"
Amalric: "No I didn't, sadly. Mercenaries took her down."
Amalric: "I did slay her captain single-handed though."
Amalric: "Monstrous brute, but no match for my swashbuckling skills, eh?!"
Smon: A pair of elderly serving women are already filling the bathing pool with hot water - no magic plumbing here - when you reach the bathchamber.
Amalric: "Righto! Everyone in!!"
Smon: The girls look awestruck. Peony: "You killed her Captain!" Cassia: "I hear he was a terrible monster who ravished countless poor girls..." Alli is helping Balthus disrobe.
Smon: /roll d20+8
Smon rolls 1d20+8 and gets: 66, (+8) = 14
Smon: Peony giggles and starts to disrobe too. Cassia hesitates: "Um, father just said to bathe them, not get in..."
Amalric: "Indeed. Slashed him with my rapier, finished him off with a thrown dagger through the neck. Quite the flourish..."
Amalric: "Oh, a little hot water and soap never hurt anyone..."
Amalric: "Need those extra hands to rub that soap in well, after all my heroic work.."
Smon: Alli slips out of her own dress, and helps Balthus finish disrobing of his armour. Peony also slips off her own dress & loincloth, and climbs in happily to the steaming pool.
Smon: /roll d20+8
Smon rolls 1d20+8 and gets: 1818, (+8) = 26
Smon: heh. Cassia listens wide-eyed to Rey's tale of heroic combat, and strips off her own attire almost unconsciously. The second naked princess gets into the hot pool along with Rey.
Smon: Alli, seeing that the princesses seem fascinated with Rey, starts to soap Balthus' back. He closes his eyes and sighs happily. "Good to get away from the wife for a while..."
Amalric: "Hopefully they save us some dinner..."
Smon: Cassia smiles, starting to soap her shoulders. "Oh, dinner will be ages yet! You were quite early."
Smon: /roll d20
Smon rolls 1d20 and gets: 1919,
Smon: Rey senses that you're being observed - the door is cracked open and he spots one of the old maids lurking in the shadows, keeping an eye on the group in the pool.
Amalric: "CLose that door, would you?" shouts Rey. "Wouldn't want to catch a chill now, would we?"
Smon: Cassia starts to soap her breasts, giving Rey a come-hither look. Not to be outdone, Peony does the same, moving forward slightly and flicking her hair to catch Rey's attention. As Rey calls out there is a snort from the old maid, and the door clicks shut.
Smon: Cassia glances to the door, smiles. "Oh, Old Verna worries too much. We know you wouldn't take advantage of us, Rey."
Amalric: "Indeed. I wouldn't dream of it..." says Rey, moving closer to them both
Smon: Peony: "Yes, not like what happened to Opa with that horrid dwarf..."
Smon: Rey moves in snuggly between the girls.
Smon: Balthus leans back in the hot soapy water, eyes closed contentedly as Alli bathes his rugged and battle-scarred form.
Smon: Cassia raises her sponge and starts bathing Rey, Peony following her lead.
Smon: Outside the preparations for dinner can be heard.
Amalric: "Opa? What happened to her?"
Smon: Peony's eyes go wide, she stops soaping Rey's chest. "Father found her with Kogor the Dwarf - he was taking her from behind! Can you imagine?! After father welcomed the little brute into his Hall! And he knocked out two men with his hammer, running away."
9:31am  2015-5-08 atherton Has entered the room
atherton: Hi Simon, Amalric
9:32am  2015-5-08 saunatonttu Has entered the room
atherton: yep
Smon: (hi Ath!) Cassia: "Father was very angry. He's set in his ways, not like your nice Lord Vex in Selatine - you heard about Jana Vex and the pirate? Lord Vex only banished her for a year... But Opa was given to Lord Tarcon of Trade. Not as a proper wife - a concubine!"
Smon: (brb tea)
Amalric: "Well, if you lie down with dwarves..."
Amalric: "I've met Kogor, he's a decent enough warrior. For a dwarf."
9:35am  2015-5-08 saunatonttu Has exited the room
Amalric: "Shame for your sister. But perhaps one day we can bring her out of her predicament, eh?"
9:36am  2015-5-08 atherton Has exited the room
Smon: (I was going to go to Osgar shortly - see if ath returns I guess!)
9:36am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has entered the room
chris107: Internet keeps dropping
Amalric: Farage hasn't won, LOL
Smon: Cassia nods. Peony: "You wouldn't take *us* as concubines would you, Lord Reynard?!" she bats her eyelashes.
Smon: (sadly my MP did get re-elected)
9:38am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has exited the room
Amalric: "Wouldn't I?" replies Rey, with a smile
Smon: Cassia: "If Opa doesn't bear Lord Tarcon a child soon, I hear he may sell her..."
9:38am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has entered the room
chris107: Am I here?
Amalric: You are Chris
Smon: Peony and Cassia giggle, and resume the soaping of Lord Reynard. Moving on... Rey enjoys a nice but non-consummatory bathtime with the princesses?
Amalric: "Well I have some coin to spare, perhaps I can purchase your sister and bring her a better life..?"
Amalric: probably best, yes
Smon: They seem unconvinced, but nod.
chris107: Bloody internet keeps dropping out
Amalric: he's rather attached to his head
Smon: (bad luck Chris)
Amalric: (are they unconvinced that Rey can buy Opa?)
9:40am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has exited the room
Smon: (yes) Both the princesses seem interested in Rey. Cassia seems a bit smarter, Peony rather ditzy.
Amalric: Rey wont show preference to either at this point, but will treat them both the same
Smon: They tell Rey their elder sister Princess Doria is at Krens' Cairn, learning magic from Lord Krens.
9:41am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has entered the room
Amalric: "Better keep in their good books, then. Don't mess with wizards, say I. Though I have met Oriax, did I tell you that?"
Smon: Cassia: "Father would like Doria to marry Krens, but I don't think he's interested in that sort of thing..." Peony: "He only cares about his books."
9:43am  2015-5-08 atherton Has entered the room
Smon: Cassia: "You met Oriax?!" Peony gasps: "I hear he's ten feet tall, with a member twice that size!" Balthus snorts derisively.
Amalric: "I cannot imagine ever finding a book more appealing than either of you two..."
Smon: @ath are you ok to play Os now if we switch?
Amalric: "He's about half that, or more in some departments."
Amalric: not a problem, time Rey and co were heading to dinner anyway
9:44am  2015-5-08 atherton Has exited the room
Smon: Both princesses smile at the compliment.
Smon: ath and/or chris need to stop dropping if we're going to switch.
Smon: *sigh*
Smon: Peony: "Tell me about his magic chariot, Rey..." she leans forward.
9:45am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has entered the room
chris107: Gosh this is a pain
Smon: After an hour or so in the bath, Rey and Malthus rise, towel and dress, Malthus aided by Alli and Rey by a pair of dripping wet nude princesses.
chris107: Hehe business as usual for Rey
Amalric: "It is drawn by slave girls, a terrible fate. Pray that none of you fall into that living hell."
9:47am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has exited the room
Smon: Eventually with more giggles and flirtation they escort the visiting dignataries back to the Hall and a place at Vilus' high table, the girls unsurprisingly taking the seats beside Rey, opposite Lord Vilius.
Amalric: "I did rescue one girl from him, though it cost me a pretty penny. I have a few slaves now."
Smon: Cassia: "Slaves eh? They must keep you very busy..."
Smon: The first course is served, grapes and melons to prepare the palate.
Amalric: "Indeed. But so long as you show them a firm hand, they can be quite amenable..."
Smon: Malthus grins and nods. "Lord Reynard's hands are always busy, I hear."
9:49am  2015-5-08 morikahn Has entered the room
morikahn: sup
9:50am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has entered the room
chris107: Am I back?
Smon: Lord Vilius Theber smiles. "Indeed, all reports support that. Lady Aeschela I hear was most sorry to lose Lord Reynard's hands... But now we must discuss business. I have some notion what brings you to Theber, hmm?"
Smon: (yes c)
chris107: (thanks)
Amalric: "Indeed my Lord."
Amalric: (Do I have to describe this?)
Smon: Behind Rey, Alli and the other maids serves delicate cuts of wafer thin meats.
Smon: You could let Balthus do it, or summarise what you're telling Vilius.
Smon: I do need to know what Vilius is being told.
Smon: (c if you're sticking around for a bit we can turn back to Hakeem?)
chris107: A lot of thinking. Much simpler to just hit things
chris107: Yeah I'm here all day thanks Simon.
Smon: Rey certainly likes to hit on things.
chris107: Just hope the internet connection holds!
Smon: (I meant re your Internet!)
chris107: Hehe
Amalric: i'm here all day too, just need to gather my proposals here
Smon: Hakeem - is he trying to unfasten one of the stays?
chris107: So Hakeem is trying to tear a hole in the fabric?
chris107: Either unfasten or tear the fabric.
Smon: You don't have anything sharp I think.
Smon: ok, unfasten first...
Smon: /roll d20+2
Smon rolls 1d20+2 and gets: 2020, (+2) = 22
Smon:
chris107: Hakeem Knot master
Smon: Yep, the knot parts surprisingly easy to Hakeem's ministrations, perhaps Bondor is with him today... Are you opening a gap on the seaward or landward side of the wagon?
chris107: The landward
chris107: With the time and my estimated speed I'm hoping we are pretty close to the Forests of the North.
Smon: OK, through the now open flap you see the rolling grassy heath, woodland a couple miles away and the cliffs and hills rising up beyond.
Smon: /roll d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 11,
9:59am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has exited the room
Smon: The wagon lurches as it passes over a stream that runs from the woods east to the sea, the defile looks like a great chance to hide - with luck... you gonna jump?
Smon:
Amalric: Rey: "My Lord, I require your assistance. Some friends of Lady Lucretia of Rallu were taken by Tsamar the Pirate, and sold in Ahyf. Tsamar and her band were brought down by myself and my friend Hakeem, working with the Ralluans. The Lady wishes her friends returned, but Ahyf now deems Selatine an enemy. Negotiations would be much more easily performed if you acted in a neutral capacity."
10:00am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has entered the room
Smon: Viius eats a grape. "Ahyf deems Selatine an enemy? I had not heard this."
chris107: Grrrr!

Smon: >>Smon: The wagon lurches as it passes over a stream that runs from the woods east to the sea, the defile looks like a great chance to hide - with luck... you gonna jump?<<
Amalric: "Well indeed, troubling times. The Ralluan maid here, Alli, can identify the girls concerned. Of course, I will gladly go with her if you so desired me to play a role in this matter."
chris107: Yes
chris107: He'll use his Barbarian skills and his wolfy background to go to ground.
10:02am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has exited the room
Smon: Two manservants bring out a huge platter on which sits an entire roast boar. Lord Vilius: "I would of course be glad to assist, though I know little of Rallu. I am sure any reports of hostility from Ahyf are exaggerated. A misunderstanding, only..."
Smon: Hakeem jumps for it...
10:04am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has entered the room
Smon: Hakeem jumps for it...
chris107: Go Hakeem!
Smon: /roll d20+5
Smon rolls 1d20+5 and gets: 1313, (+5) = 18
chris107: Some lucky dice today
chris107: So far!
Smon: Yup, he rolls lightly into the defile of the stream, the wagon passes on. Looks like he's not been spotted, no yells from the orcs walking behind - but he still needs to hide from them, or take on four orcs unarmed.
Smon: Of course he can run faster than an orc, too...
chris107: He will lie low.
chris107: If he thinks he's been spotted he will leg it!
Smon: A few fronds of ferns partly cloak the stream, though the cover is a little meagre.

Smon: The orcs pass by, unseeing.
Smon: (I'll c/p that when Chris returns!)
Smon: Balthus: "Lord Vilius, in token of appreciation Lord Vex sends a small gift..." he produces a heavy coin pouch. "A little money to help pay for the equipping of soldiers against Yusan."
Smon: Vilius nods. "Your lord is gracious. He nods to his own Weaponmaster Malthis, who rises and takes the coin bag for safekeeping."
10:10am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has entered the room

Smon: nope
Smon: atherton kept dropping too it seemed like.
Smon: @Graham you there?
morikahn: could there be issues with this channel?
Smon: I'm thinking I could make a new room?

10:18am  2015-5-08 Amalric Has entered the room
Amalric: I'm here
Amalric: and yes, Rey will head for Ahyf with Lord Vilius in the morning
Smon: awesome, a player!
Smon: GM: You talk with the lords and ladies of Theber, who ask all about events down south, Oriax, the victory over the 'evil pirates', what the Ralluans are like.
Amalric: still wondering WTF is going on up here with the election. massive "No" vote last year, and yet this year everyone is voting SNP! Crazy
Smon: (my father voted Labour in South Edinburgh to keep SNP out - now it's Lab's only Scottish seat I think!)
Amalric: yes, did think of doing that but didnt. doubt it would have mattered, though i havent seen the count for Dundee East
Smon: Weaponmaster Malthis also asks about Thracia and the Crypts of Ulther.
Amalric: (well hopefully we get at least 5 more years without another referendum)
Amalric: Rey shares all he can
Smon: (yep!)
Amalric: okay, so what now?
Amalric: move on to Ahyf?
Smon: Rey chats long in to the night with his usual charm, until eventually it's bed time. Princess Cassia: "I shall escort you to your chamber Lord Reynard. Your maid is accompanying you?"
Amalric: "My maid? Oh, she's not MY maid..."
Amalric: is Alli coming with Rey or Balthus?
Smon: Princess Peony seems to have had a little too much to drink, and is dozing on the table. Weaponmaster Malthis nods to Lord Vilius, then picks her up in his strong arms, carrying her to her room. Cassia rolls her eyes at her sister's inebriation.
Smon: Balthus: "I still have a little neck cramp, perhaps Alli could assist?"
Smon: Alli looks to Rey.
Amalric: Rey smiles and nods
Amalric: "Lead on, Cassia..."
Smon: Balthus smiles happily. Cassia rises and escorts the three of you to the guest chambers. She shows Balthus into his room and Alli trots in behind him. Balthus bids you goodnight and firmly shuts his door.
Smon: Cassia turns to Rey. "So then, alone at last..."
Smon: She looks up, smiling.
Smon: /roll d20+2
Smon rolls 1d20+2 and gets: 55, (+2) = 7
Smon: (Rey fails Sense Motive check btw)
Amalric: LOL, did Rey fart at that point?!
Smon: Cassia seems to be waiting for something.
Amalric: yikes
Amalric: Rey hangs back, unsure what is going on
Amalric: he backs toward his room
Smon: After a moment she speaks again: "Well, I better bid you goodnight Lord Reynard. Early start tomorrow."
Smon: She nods, then turns to leave.
Amalric: "Goodnight, Princess Cassia. Until the morning."
Amalric: "Wait.."
Amalric: "Won't you join me?"
Smon: "Goodnight..." With a slight smile Cassia takes a step away, then pauses.
Smon: dc 20 persuasion check...
Smon: /roll d20+8
Smon rolls 1d20+8 and gets: 1414, (+8) = 22
Smon:
Smon: Cassia looks unsure, flushing slightly. "I, er... perhaps just a little while..."
Amalric: just too damned charming, me
Amalric: "Yes, just a little..."
Smon: She slips into Rey's room.
Smon: ~fade to black?~
Amalric: yes
Smon: 2 in 6 chance Cassia was still intact...
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 66,
Smon: naw
Amalric: intact? LOL
Smon: GM: Very early next morning Princess Cassia slips out of Rey's bedchamber, apparently unnoticed.
Amalric: slut
Amalric:
Smon: You can talk.
Amalric:
Amalric: is anyone in this country?
Smon: Rey sleeps late, eventually roused by a knock on the door from Balthus - breakfast is served, just time to grab a bite before the journey.
Smon: /roll d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 44,
Smon: Jana Vex was(!)
Amalric: was!
Smon: 4 in 6 rolled 4 - so I guess she'd never quite gone all the way before meeting Mr Harcourt.
Amalric: she was a terrible judge of character though
Smon: yup
Smon: Jana's original shower antics were actually intended to be mild flirtation from her POV, she wasn't trying to seduce Lance (unlike with Rey later on)
Smon: GM: Moving on... After a light breakfast Lord Vilius, Lord Reynard, the two weaponmasters and two of Vilius' warriors mount up for the ride to Ahy, via Trade.
Amalric: I know, but Lance was a man of simple pleasures
Smon: yup
Amalric: never look a gifthorse in the...well..mouth
Amalric: not like Rey to look a gifthorse either, but a rare moment of sense there
Smon: Vilius: "We shall call on Lord Tarcon for lunch, and be in Ahyf this evening. Is that satisfactory?"
Amalric: "Excellent plan, my Lord."
Smon: The old man looks a little unsteady on his horse, a large black stallion.
10:40am  2015-5-08 chris107 Has entered the room
Smon: With Alli on a mare, the 7 riders head out of Theber, northbound.
chris107: Driven into town to get a 4g signal. On iPhone though.
Amalric: there he is!
Smon: @chris hello!
chris107: Bloody Internet! I'll buy a new filter and cable before this evenings game
Smon: >>Smon: A few fronds of ferns partly cloak the stream, though the cover is a little meagre. 10:06am 2015-5-08 chris107 Has exited the room Smon: The water is cold as Hakeem presses down low, the first orcs reach the stream... chris107: Did H hide from the Orcs and slip away?
Smon: GM: Hakeem watches as the tired and battle-weary orcs trudge past towards the great Tower of Oriax that now looms less than a mile away to the south.
chris107: I'll assume that's a yes
Smon: There's no sign of Joseph, luckily.
chris107: When he deems the coast to be clear he will make a break Nirth andEast towards Selatine.
chris107: Clinging to the coast
Smon: As they get further away Hakeem risks raising his head a little - he's just north of a crossroads where a road runs west into the hills.
Smon: You could either follow the stream to the western woods, or head north in the open & hope you get lucky.
chris107: Using a measured pace and conserving energy in case he needs to run for it.
chris107: North and East I think from the map.
Smon: OK, the wagon & orcs disappear over a rise, Hakeem picks himself up and heads north. Time for the dreaded d6 roll...
