Smon: A great worm indeed.

Smon: Rey's cloaked hand turns the handle, the ancient stone door swings open smoothly into an alcove, which opens out into a good-sized chamber lit by an eerie orange-red glare.

Smon: The chamber is smooth square stone, murals line the walls showing animals and infant dwarves gambolling at play. A dwarven creche?
chris107: H withdraws his blanket. But without looking directly at either door or room.
Smon: Is anyone looking into the room?
chris107: "Rey, has the door stopped wiggling?"
Amalric: Rey will
Amalric: "Probably, but dont look again."
chris107: H keeps his gaze averted
Smon: Apart from the murals, Rey's attention is drawn to the pulped and mangled forms of two white apes - the same breed that attacked you earlier - lying on the floor, not far into the chamber.
Smon: Your entrance is at the N end of the W wall, you cannot see the south half of the chamber from here.
Amalric: Rey will chance a sneak look around the corner
Kjato Ragfoot: It seems there are either traps or enemies here.
Smon: make a Stealth check Rey

Smon: Rey glances into the room.
Smon: It is square, about 25' across.

Smon: Their massive rock fists are smeared with dried, blackened blood.
Smon: They're about 10' tall, 8' broad and look massively powerful.

chris107: Maybe more apes will get squished and weaken the statues?
Smon: ok. Leaving the strange rock guardians alone, you continue down the spiral of the Worm's Gullet, descending deeper into the earth...
Smon: The tunnel spirals SW then S, and you see ahead another door on the right, this one wooden and swollen with rot and mould.

Kjato Ragfoot: Let's check it anyway.
Smon: Past this door the spirak turns SE and appears to reach a junction, with exits off to left and right.
Smon: (stopping shortly)
chris107: H wraps his handkerchief around his nose and mouth
chris107: (I'm sure all Barbarians have handkerchiefs )

Smon rolls 1d20 and gets: 13,
Smon: Hakeem approaches the rotted door. His foot nudges a stone pebble, that rolls down the tunnel.
chris107: Check the junction
Smon: And from the darkness beyond the right fork in the junction, a voice booms out:

Smon: "WELCOME!!! WHO DARES ENTER THE DOMAIN OF THE UMBER DWARF?!"
