His first battle he fought alongside Malenn and Marcus against the Red Reavers, a crushing defeat. He only survived because a dome collapsed over him, shielding him from the bloody slaughter. He woke only after the battle was long over. Afterwards, his warlike disposition changed into a more cautious one, leading him to change from the worship of Ares to become a war priest of Pallas.
