Smon: GM: Rey gets the blue dress from Aldo, pays the gold, and heads upstairs again. Alicia looks happy, sitting on the bed with legs crossed and hands over her breasts. "Oh, that was quick!" She smiles, and holds out a hand for the dress.
Smon: (Bjornalf is getting a bit behind on xp!)
Amalric: Rey lets her have the dress
Amalric: "I aim to please."
Smon: Alicia takes the dress, stands, and shrugs it on over her head. She pats it down and examines it. "Mmm, much better..." She looks up and flutters her eyelashes at the handsome Antillian. "I'm ever so grateful..."

Smon: Late morning a day and two nights later, 29/11/4445 BCCC

Smon: Hakeem, Malenn, Rey and Alicia Scarnetti come downstairs to the smell of frying bacon - must be Aldo's young wife Serani in the kitchen today, since there is no stench of burning in the air.

Amalric: I love the smell of nap...I mean, bacon...in the morning
Smon: You are recovered from your battle with the skeletons of Ulther's Tomb, and after lengthy tea sipping and polite conversation with Malenn & Alicia, are ready for more adventures.
chris107: Hakeem tells of his adventures with Tor in the ruins of ancient Thracia.
Amalric: Rey asks if Hakeem still plans to take Alicia's head off?
chris107: And of the gold that the greedy Dwarf assured him was there..
Smon: Hakeem and Rey grab a free table with their ladies, the serving girl Cirella brings bacon, eggs and fresh bread with mead.
Smon: Alicia looks nervously at the fiery Altanian.
chris107: Hakeem shrugs. "She's your bitch now Rey."
chris107: (All this talk of frying bacon is making me hungry!  )

Smon: Alicia is presumably nude & wearing her collar, kneeling by the table and trying to look like a slave girl.

Amalric: Rey smiles at Cirella, thinking of his plans for that one

Smon: His ears pick up at the sound of your conversation. "Hail there, friends!" He says affably. "You mentioned Thracia?"
chris107: (Just taking you into the kitchen to make a bacon sandwich  )
chris107: Hakeem will tell his tale again..

Amalric: Rey will smile and resist saying "I'm with Stupid"

Smon: He listens with interest to Hakeem's tale. "Kogor's the name - just returned from exploring the northeastern ruins of Thracia, where I battled giant rats and a zombie Deathwalker - once a priest I reckon. The Deathwalkers' surface holdings have been overrun by the Beastmen, all is slaughter and death there."
chris107: He will mention the set of unopened double doors but not the concealed way to get there..
Smon: Kogor nods. "I was thinking to delve the undercity, but a mite too dangerous to go alone - even for one as skilled as I!"
chris107: "You could always come along with us."
chris107: "Malenn, would you like to join us too?"
Amalric: "Lets all go!"
Smon: Kogor nods. "I spoke with Tor Caradoc, he speaks highly of you. Be glad to fight by your side, Greywolf."

Smon: Malenn nods soberly to Hakeem. "My blade thirsts for battle against the creatures of evil."
chris107: Hakeem grins broadly at the prospect of more slaying.
Smon: Kogor grins, a hand on Beverly's chest. "A strong party we'll have! We'll smite those beastmen and perhaps recover this burg's lost statue! You heard of it?"
chris107: The golden head of Apollo!
Amalric: Rey whispers to Alicia, out of earshot. "Be careful. This lot are crazy with bloodlust, but we should get some decent loot all the same."
Smon: Kogor: "Not just a head! A whole statue! Yon big-titted priestess will pay highly to have it returned."
chris107: He's not wrong.
Smon: Alicia nods quietly to Rey.
chris107: "A whole statue?!"
Smon: Kogor finishes his tankard of mead with relish, slams it on the bar-top and wipes his beard.
chris107: "Let's away!"
Smon: Kogor: "I'll get my battle-harness on and join you shortly..."
Smon: He pushes Beverly off, sends her scurrying away with a slap to the rump, and stands.
Amalric: "Bet it has a giant codpiece," says Rey to Hakeem. "Short arses like him are always trying to compensate..."

Smon: GM: Is Rey taking Alicia along? If so, is he packing her dress?
Amalric: yes and no
Smon: ok
Amalric: wouldn't want to spoil a good dress like that if it rains, or gets bloody!
Amalric: sure she'll understand
Smon: GM: Luckily wild mages don't need material components IMC. 15 minutes later your group is assembled outside the Redeye Inn, Rey leading a naked Alicia by her chain, Malenn in loincloth & sandals with good steel-shod shield and slim, deadly blade.
Smon: You are joined by Kogor, heavily armed and armoured in half-plate with shield, warhammer, and dwarven heavy crossbow.
chris107: Hakeem will lead the way to the hidden door.
Smon: Kogor pats the crossbow lovingly. "This beauty will make short work of the Beastmen..."
chris107: Warning of Gnolls
chris107: "A fine weapon Kogor!"
Smon: The gate guard swings open the gate and you head out on the western road along the riverbank, towards Thracia.
Amalric: Rey starts whistling as soon s they pass through the gate, "The sun is in the sky, and the clouds are rolling by..."
chris107: "A fine day to die indeed!"
chris107: (Cheerful as ever!  )
Smon: Kogor grins happily at Hakeem's compliment. You have walked nearly an hour through the fields and meadows west of Selatine, passing herds of grazing sheep and their attendants, when you see some kind of commotion just off the road ahead, near the tree line. Three female figures - the shepherdesses Aya and Vatta appear to be struggling with a third, a buxom naked brunette in slave collar and some kind of leather harness.
Smon: Aya looks up at your approach. "Hakeem! Give us a hand here?"
chris107: "Aya! Are you okay?!"
Smon: The brunette slave girl cries out too: "Help!"
chris107: Hakeem does so.
Amalric: Rey hurries himself and Alicia along to see
chris107: Hakeem will help Aya
Amalric: "What are you trying to do with this slave?"
Smon: Hakeem hurries forward. Aya: "Help me bind her..." She manages to get the girl's wrists. Hakeem joins Aya and together they can easily bind her wrists behind her back.
Smon: Aya looks at Rey. "This is one of Oriax's chariot-girls! She must have slipped her traces!"
chris107: "Aya is a friend Rey, We would not have made it out of Thracia without her."
Amalric: "Oh, in that case do carry on."

Smon: Aya looks worried. "We have to get her back to Oriax. If he thinks we've stolen her..." she gulps.
Smon: The slave girl quietens down.
chris107: "Worry not about that poxy spell slinger Aya. But get her back if you think it best."
Amalric: "Is this true?" Rey asks of the girl
Smon: Vatta: "She came out of the forest... Oriax might be in there!"
Smon: The girl looks pleadingly to Rey and nods. "I'm not a slave! I'm not even from this planet! I was captured by..."
Smon: Through the trees you hear the sound of an approaching wagon, or chariot.

Smon: Vatta: "*eek!* He comes!"
chris107: At last a chance to see this Oriax
Amalric: "I'm sorry, but if that is indeed Oriax, then I'm not about to argue with him..."
chris107: (Eek! not used enough!  )
Smon: Aya puts a restraining hand on the slave girl's shoulder, trying to look calm as the chariot sounds grow louder.
chris107: Hakeem rests his great blade across his shoulder
chris107: (In case he has to remove Oriax' head)
chris107: (May be best if Rey does the talking, Hakeem will likely get us all Fireballed)
Smon: Then you see it approaching, at amazing speed - a light two-wheeled chariot with ram's head design, pulled by three sweating naked slave girls at faster speed than a human should be able to run. A fourth trace hangs empty. And riding the chariot is the tall and imperious form of the Horned Wizard himself - Oriax the Goat!

Amalric: there are some who call him...Tim?
Smon: Oriax pulls in the reigns, drawing the chariot to a halt just in front of you, and glares down at you. (Try calling him Tim.)

Amalric: (I have got to get me one of these, thinks Rey )

Amalric: (and no, Rey will pass on the Tim idea  and LOL Chris!)

Smon: After a long and menacing pause, Oriax speaks: "I see you have acquired my errant pony!"
Smon: Aya gulps, tries to look brave, and nods. "Yes, master Oriax."
Amalric: "She's a nice filly, well filled-out, looks a good runner" remarks Rey
Smon: Oriax: "Wilful and disobedient, that one! I had just allowed the ponies to water themselves by a stream while I rested my head, and awoke to find her fled!" He nods curtly to Rey.

Amalric: "They get a bit like that, just need to run them a little more."
Amalric: (might sound a little familiar to Alicia, but Rey doesnt know that  )

Smon: Oriax smiles slightly at Rey. "Indeed! I rather like you! You may have her if you wish - either that, or it's the mines for her. In return for something of equal value, of course."
Smon: The girl looks nervously at Rey. Alicia frowns.
Amalric: "I don't have anything of equal value at this time, I'm afraid. This slave is very dear to me, I cannot part with her."
Amalric: Rey tugs Alicia's chain for effect
Amalric: wipe that frown off
Smon: Oriax: "Her name is Lucy Prentice. Bright enough, though wilful and disobedient..." He looks over Alicia. "Very nice, but I have plenty like her at present. Perhaps a magic item? Or gold?"
Smon: Alicia stops frowning.
Smon: Malenn looks troubled by all this, and whispers to Hakeem. "Hakeem? Do we have any gold?"
Amalric: "Gold? Lets see..." Rey looks in his pockets, and while he does so asks. "How much?"
chris107: (You're on your own here Graham. Hakeem has neither)
Smon: Oriax grins nastily. "Make me an offer."
Amalric: (not sure Rey has much!)
Amalric: (Simon: I dont know what he has gained thus far)
Amalric: (if anything!)
Smon: Aya whispers to Rey. "I have four gold pieces. Not sure that's enough."
Amalric: (he'll offer whatever he has)
Smon: GM: LOL
Smon: Rey produces a rather flaccid money pouch and offers it to Oriax. Aya: "And here is four more gold, Lord Oriax, sir. 'Tis all we have."
chris107: Hakeem gives the 10GP he has to Rey.
chris107: or rather to Malenn to give to Rey
chris107: (Doesn't trust himself to get within sword swinging range of the wizard)
Smon: Oriax nods and takes all your money, it disappearing into the folds of his black robe. He grins broadly. "Excellent. The wench is yours. Be seeing you. Hyaa!"
Amalric: Rey takes Lucy's slave chain and smiles
Amalric: "My friends, I promise to pay you all back, every penny."
Smon: Oriax cracks the reins and the three pony-girls race forward, the chariot starts to life and speeds down the track towards Selatine.
Amalric: (who knows if thats true  )
Smon: Aya grins at Rey. "And an extra coin for my trouble would be nice!"
chris107: (Oriax will fall to Hakeems blade one day...)
Smon: (no doubt)
Amalric: "Lucy is it? Well you are free of Oriax, at least. You are now my slave, but I can assure you that is a much more preferable state of affairs."
Smon: Lucy gulps and looks at Rey, nods.

Amalric: "Of course, Aya! Very nice of you that - so I shall make it two coins!"
Smon: Aya turns to Hakeem. "Off to Thracia again this fine morning?"
Amalric: (hush you  )
chris107: "Aye lass. See if we can't find some of that gold Tor was on about."
Smon: Aya nods. "You have need of my sling?"
Amalric: (Rey thinks Aya would make a good barmaid for Aldo...)
chris107: "Always welcome!"
chris107: "And your fine hound?"
Smon: Kogor speaks up to Aya: "You're a mere slip of a girl... But if you wish to accompany us, I'll nae say no."
Smon: Aya grins, whistles. There's an answering bark and a moment later Max comes bounding happily up.
chris107: "This slip of a girl fell near a score of Giant Centipedes with that sling Kogor."
Smon: Vatta: "We didn't want Max around Oriax... Max doesn't like goats."
chris107: Hakeem is truelly delighted to see Max again
Amalric: Rey quietly tells Alicia and Lucy to "look out for each other. I doubt this is any place for us, let alone unarmoured slave girls. If anything should befall me, then run..." He smiles a moment later. "But nothing will. Lets have a party when we get back tonight!"
Smon: Aya grins proudly at Hakeem's words, bracing her shoulders back and giving her sling a twirl.
Smon: Alicia nods to Rey, Lucy looks even more nervous.
Smon: Aya: "Guess we better untie you..." she frees Lucy's wrists.
chris107: (I get the feeling there's going to be an all-mighty fight coming up. This party is getting huge!)
Smon: OOC: 8 of you with Max!
Smon: Luckily 5e handles big groups ok.
Smon: Vatta: "Well, goodbye you lot, and good luck! I better get back to the sheep."
chris107: "Will you bear torches for us Lucy? It will make it easier for us to protect you." Hakeem says kindly.
Smon: Kogor hefts his hammer: "Let us away! Thracia awaits!"
Smon: Lucy nods to Hakeem.
Amalric: "Better for setting fire to zombies and beastmen, too!"

Smon: You enter the woods, enjoying the cool shade after the heat of the meadowland.

Amalric: "I do have my glowing dagger, remember? Wasn't giving that up to the wizard." Rey beams triumphantly

Smon: 5 or 6 miles through the woods passes without incident, it's about 1pm when the trees part ahead and you emerge on the edge of the Thracian ruins, just north of the canal.
Smon: (was using a 6 for encounters)
chris107: Can we approach the sunken area leading to the entrance whilst avoiding tree hugging Gnolls?)
Smon: Kogor points out a large villa to your right, at the North east edge of the city. "That was where I explored - corpses and death was what I found." (H on map)
Smon: The entrance you found last time was just NW of the O on map, O marks the long reflecting pools clogged with water-lillies.
Smon: North of the city a dismal swamp extends off into the distance (E on map)

chris107: Down into the large entrance hall, North along the collonade through the eastern door where the lizardmen were. Through the concealed door at the back and south to the double doors.

Smon: You are passing along just north of the reflecting pools when you disturb a pack of rats, feasting on something that might once have been a man.

Smon: You don't recognise him - Altanian though, not Deathwalker. A slightly rusted axe lies in the grass to his left, and there is a leather pouch on his belt.

Smon: Aya: "Last time we fought three gnolls for that much!"
chris107: "Lady luck is with us this time." He smiles warmly at Malenn.
Smon: Aya: "Anyone object if I take my six gold?" She smiles sweetly.
Amalric: "All yours, Hakeem and Aya!"
chris107: "Go ahead Aya."
Smon: Aya takes 6, leaving 7 for Hakeem.
chris107: Hakeem heads off again towards the double doors.
Smon: Kogor: "Plenty more where that came from." He nudges the rat-eaten corpse with his toe. "Someone else thought to venture here. Alone, judging by his money still on him."
chris107: "Plenty for all when we find this golden statue Kogor."
Smon: A little further on and you approach the temple where the steps lead down. You see the entrance in the south wall, the tops of the trees waving above the walls.
Smon: Last time there were gnolls in the trees, they attacked as you passed through the entrance.
chris107: Inspect them for archer-Gnolls.
chris107: (From cover if poss)
Smon: You're sneaking up, Hakeem?
Smon: Rey is the sneakiest BTW.
chris107: I'd like to try please.

Smon: The gnoll snarls, hefting its spear, as Hakeem races forward.

Amalric: "Why thank you. Just a little swordcraft I learned along the way..."
Smon: Kogor looks around. "Good work. He'd no chance to raise an alarm."
Amalric: Rey smiles roguishly at his two slaves, looking every inch the dashing hero

Smon: Hytirus' face breaks into a broad smile. "Excellent!" He steps forward and grabs Rey's shoulder and hand. "Welcome to my Hall, Lord Reynard! We feast well tonight!" The crowd cheers even louder.
