Sandor Sunneson: morning boys
chris107: Morning Fergus
Smon: Morning Fergus
Sandor Sunneson: Is Jorian loggin on?
chris107: Don't know.
Sandor Sunneson: Yeah, that's my answer, at least he survived into the new year
Smon: This music sounds good for starting a session  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jz0OH0d-kpE
chris107: Loaded.
chris107: Maglor is eager to see what adventure King Sandor will lead him into next
chris107: Though will be sad to part from Princess Crystal.
Sandor Sunneson: They've finished at Imp Brucke now haven't they? So Sandor is going to head back to Selatine area, buy a house and become a house husband for the rest of his years
Sandor Sunneson: And look after his unborn son/daughter
chris107: Too much adventure awaits for that!
Sandor Sunneson: Lol
chris107: Humans?!
Smon: GM: After the celebrations with goblins & men at Imp Brucke, you can spend the rest of the week at Capricia with the dwarves & princess Crystal. Maglor gives the Princess a beautiful necklace of glittering diamonds, and she has a present for him too...
Sandor Sunneson: A baby in the womb?
chris107: (OOC - eager to get Maglor to 11th - Reliable Talent)
Sandor Sunneson: All the cool PCs do it Maglor!!!
Smon: I'll roll a d20, on a 20 she's pregnant since you insist Fergus
Smon: /roll d20
Smon rolls 1d20 and gets: 13,
Smon: nope
Sandor Sunneson: What's good enough for Hakeem, is good enough for Maglor
Sandor Sunneson: lol
chris107: Thanks Fergus!
Sandor Sunneson:
chris107: Phew
Sandor Sunneson: The elven species might die out Maglor, will be your fault
chris107: hehe
Smon: Crystal presents Maglor with a finely crafted cloak of grey silk.
chris107: A few hundred years to worry about that. Elves, unlike you humans have no need to rush these things.
Smon: "This is the Cloak of Billowing - on command, it billows dramatically, as if by an unseen breeze!"
Smon: She smiles.
chris107: "Why Princess, it's beautiful!"
chris107: "Thank you. May it keep me safe until I can return to your embrace."
chris107: (Very cool!  )
Smon: Crystal smiles. "Well, it should keep the rain off, anyway..." She hugs Maglor. "This necklace is beautiful! I shall wear it until your return."
chris107: (That's the music from Oblivion!)
chris107: "I'll be thinking of you. See you soon."
Smon: GM: Cloak of Billowing - actual magic item from Xanathar's Guide - "While wearing this cloak, you can use a bonus action to make it billow dramatically".
chris107: haha just brilliant
chris107: (I feel Maglor would love magical stuff like that)
Smon: GM: 10/7/47: You have completed a Long Rest, so all hp hd & rages etc restored.
chris107: 73/73 HP
Sandor Sunneson: cool
Smon: Area map - https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7CGGUMuaBDkO4OzZdbJ4HdhxfIwFZoWfNHAGVxY5T1aTdFAttxWWydTWkW-6JGV5SY7YH3YX1Qx9Xbj56wY1rBTkNU8osJDNPT9YlZLTbtS-mzAp-wQBYTP0UBLD10DDgeBBozsJI50s/s1600/River+of+Visions+and+NE+Oricha.png
Smon: GM: What do you reckon Hakeem has Ernsorn Blue make a Sending to Sandor re becoming King of Carchimish?
chris107: That is a jolly good idea
Sandor Sunneson: From Capricia, Sandor and Maglor to head back direction Ghinarian Hills
chris107: "I'll follow your lead....Your Majesty."
chris107: (maglor friend of Kings  )
Sandor Sunneson: Or to Carchimisch even
Sandor Sunneson: Yes, lets go there
chris107: You want to plan a rout?
chris107: "Adventure awaits!"
Sandor Sunneson: sorry, jumping between maps
chris107: (OOC - very sad that my CSotWE maps, the hex numbers have faded beyond recognition  )
Sandor Sunneson: what square number is Capricia/
Smon: GM: The locals tell you if you head north from Imp Brucke over the Northwatch Hills, you should reach the Vale village of Alkminis in a couple days. From there you can head west to Carchimish.
Sandor Sunneson: Ok, will head to the Northwatch hills direction Alkminis
chris107: Maglor will start making detailed maps of all our journeys
Sandor Sunneson: 2903
Smon: They warn you the hills are dangerous, prowled by fierce monsters - though none ever descend to threaten Imp Brucke, oddly enough.
chris107: Maglor billows heroicaly
Smon: 11/07/4447 You bid goodbye to Capricia, Maglor sharing a farewell kiss with Princess Moonsilver.
Sandor Sunneson: Ok, we'll thank them for their hospitality and head away
chris107: "Until we meet again!"
Smon: "Until then" says Moonsilver fondly, toying with the glittering necklace at her slender neck. With new bacckpacks full of provisions, a gift of the dwarf king, you head north.
chris107:
Smon: 9 miles north you reach Imp Brucke a little before noon, where the Innkeep Chumpin' treats you to a slap-up lunch.
Smon: Chumpin: "Thanks again, folks - everythin's back to normal around here!"
chris107: "Yum! Thanks Chumpin."
chris107: "And your hammer was far superior to that poor excuse for a sword!"
Sandor Sunneson: Good that things have returned to normal, wonder if the cheese ladies will return with their new found wealth
Sandor Sunneson: What sort of visions are seen at the Lake of that name to the west of here innkeeper?
Smon: "Too right!" Chumpin grins. "The Cheesemongers have headed down to Diancecht- I hear they may be going on Pilgramage to the Shrine of Belaras... The Lake of Visions? Oh, all sorts. I wouldn't know about that - best ask a fisherman." Leaving Imp Brucke about 1pm, you follow the bank of the small Pearl River upstream, past Sidral's Tower.
Sandor Sunneson: Wonder what will happen to that place now
Sandor Sunneson: Maglor
chris107: "I'm sure I missed something in that coffer..."
Smon: Soon you are hiking up high into the windswept and rugged Northwatch Hills. Here and there strange crystalline formations like twisted spires jut from the mossy ground.
Smon: /roll d6
Sandor Sunneson: Shall we go and have a quick nosey back?
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 4,
Sandor Sunneson: Maybe not
Sandor Sunneson: I was going to pop in and collect my arrows I left
chris107: "Let's press on. We have much of the world to see."
chris107: "Your Majesty." He adds
Smon: That evening you find a sheltered dell to camp in.
Smon: /roll d6
chris107: grinning
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 2,
Smon: /roll d8
Smon rolls 1d8 and gets: 8,
Sandor Sunneson: No need Maglor, you knew me before I was a king
Sandor Sunneson: lol
Smon: It's a clear starry night.
chris107: Maglor will dance a energetic jig to celebrate
Smon: The Golden Swathe of Heaven's Bridge arcs across the night sky.
chris107: "Dancing under the stars! What could be better?" A halo of illusionary stars join him.
Sandor Sunneson: Take in turns to stand watch? Change every 4 hours?
chris107: "I guess so. You're no fun. Come join me in one last dance then we watch."
Smon: Maglor can get by with 4 hours, so Sandor could get 2 4 hour rests & be just a bit tired.
chris107: Cape a billow, Maglor dances one last time in the starlight.
Sandor Sunneson: Ok, the Dell disco will kick in for a short while
chris107:
chris107: "That's the spirit!"
Sandor Sunneson: Lets hope it doesn;t attract any random passers by
Sandor Sunneson rolls 1d6 and gets: 6,
chris107: Oops
Smon: A little after midnight, Maglor is on watch when a trio of shooting stars pass across the sky.
Sandor Sunneson: ha ha
chris107: He thinks of Princess Moonsilver. Now far away.
Sandor Sunneson: Make a wish Maglor
chris107: He does so.
Smon: The night passes peacefully. Next morning you rise a little stiff from the stony ground and continue your trek north. You reach the crest of the hills that morning, affording you a fantastic view north over the rolling meadowlands of the Vale and south to the distant River of Visions, Capricia just visible. It all looks very peaceful.
chris107: (Typed into my phone's notes. Timed and dated  )
Smon: /roll d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 2,
Sandor Sunneson: Glad I rolled the 6 so Simon rolled a 2
Sandor Sunneson: The boys head on!
chris107: "If we stick to the base of the Castellan's we should reach your new home?"
Sandor Sunneson: Looking at the beauty of the peaceful valley for breakfast
Sandor Sunneson: Ja
Smon: Heading north down hill around noon and munching some trail rations, you enter a bleaker area, here and there bones lie scattered amidst the stones, heathers and sparse hill grass. You sense a predator may be nearby...
Smon: You can make Survival checks, WIS+PROF
Sandor Sunneson: Human bones?
chris107: "We should move slowly and quietly through here..."
Sandor Sunneson rolls 1d20 and gets: 8,
Sandor Sunneson: +5=13
Sandor Sunneson: WIS 10
chris107 rolls 1d20+2 and gets: 7, (+2) = 9
Sandor Sunneson: Sorry, WIS 20 with helm
chris107: (No survival prof here)
Sandor Sunneson: 20+8=28
chris107: Nice
Smon: Sandor reckons most or all animal bones.
Sandor Sunneson: Could be something nasty, stay alert Maglor
Sandor Sunneson: Does he sense they are being watched
Sandor Sunneson: ??
chris107: Maglor stalks silently.
chris107: Passive Perception now 20
Smon: A large crow watches you from atop one of the crystal spires with beady eye.
Sandor Sunneson: Sounds Weinsteinesque that stalks silently
Sandor Sunneson: Ok, we head on
Smon: /roll d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 4,
chris107: (Slippers of the Stalker and Rod of the Rapist were two tongue in cheek magical items we found in our last 1e campaign  )
Smon: Moving more cautiously, you continue your descent. Nothing threatens you and soon enough you leave the sinister area behind, that afternoon coming down from the hills into rolling woodlands in the Vale.
Smon: /roll d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 3,
chris107: (Sealed cave...)
Sandor Sunneson: Got ya
Sandor Sunneson: we will check the entry of the sealed cave to see what seals it
chris107: "So what are you going to do as King, Sandor?"
chris107: (I think we are a bit north of there, sorry. Just noticed it.)
Sandor Sunneson: Look to keep the peace that Hakeem is encouraging
Smon: It's about 4pm and you have been heading through the woods for a couple hours when the trees part and you see ahead a glittering lake or large pond. On the far side of the lake a herd of black-headed sheep are grazing, watched over by a large Ghinoran shep-hound.
Smon: (You're in 2901/2902 border)
Sandor Sunneson: I'm not from these parts Maglor, but I found it dissapointing that in the recent conflict with the Black Sun, before this war, various groups were plotting their own long term plans even before the real enemy had been defeated. It's taking me a bit to get used to who is who
chris107: Maglor whistles. "Ahoy the camp!"
Sandor Sunneson: And hopefully be accepted by the locals that they see me as a worthy king
chris107: "There will alway be those who put themselves ahead of others, King Sandor. A true leader will always put his or her people first."
Smon: Closer by, on your side of the pond, you see clothes and a shepherd's staff laid down by the lakeside, and a very buxom fair-haired wench is bathing in the lake a few yards from the shore, singing to herself! "Tra la la..."
Sandor Sunneson: Would have been ironic had the black sun won, those people would probably now be dead
Smon: /roll d20
Smon rolls 1d20 and gets: 8,
chris107: "Ask not what Carmisch can do for you..."
Smon: She doesn't appear to have noticed you yet.
Sandor Sunneson: Indeed
Sandor Sunneson: Another lady for you to dally with Maglor?
chris107: Maglor shouts ahead again.
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor will wave as Maglor shouts
chris107: "They would have been worse than dead." Maglor shudders.
Sandor Sunneson: Indeed, ignorance is bliss I guess
chris107: "My folk tell tales of elves who have fallen into worse than darkness. Banshee we call them. Fated to walk the world forever bereft of joy."
Smon: The clothes include a bonnet and light blue shepherdess' dress... at your shouts the girl starts and turns in your direction, covering her breasts and blinking against the sun. "H- hello there?"
chris107: "We are friends, worry not fair lady. Can I gt you your clothes?"
Sandor Sunneson: Good morning, we are just passing by, saw you so thought we would be polite and say hello
Smon: The hound also starts, and plunges into the lake, begins paddling in your direction.
Sandor Sunneson: Be careful Maglor, she could be a succubus in human form Sandor whispers
chris107: "Do they like dogs and black headed sheep?"
Smon: (it's afternoon Fergus)
chris107: Maglor finds some sausage from his pack and offers it to the hound.
Smon: Maglor make a Persuasion check CHA+Prof
Sandor Sunneson: Not sure, never encountered one
chris107: "The lady's clothes perhaps, my king?"
chris107 rolls 1d20+5 and gets: 19, (+5) = 24
Smon:
chris107:
Sandor Sunneson: well done
chris107: (If I could talk to the animals, just imagine it...)
Smon: The girl looks entranced at the handsome elf.  The dog emerges from the water, dripping wet, tail wagging as it chomps Maglor's sausage.
chris107: f'nar
Smon: Seeming reassured, the girl emerges from the waters. "Y-yes, hand me my clothes thanks..."
Smon: "Are - are you an Elf?!"
Sandor Sunneson: Well observed lady
chris107: "What news from the north lass? And yes, I'm an elf."
chris107: "From fair Anatal."
chris107: He hands her the clothes.
chris107: stroking the dawgie.
Smon: Maglor hands the girl the pile of clothes; she turns away to slip on her knickers, and pull the short blue dress over her head before turning back. "Anatal? I've not heard of it. Pleased to meet you... I'm Rian. Did you come over the Hills?"
Smon: /roll d12
Smon rolls 1d12 and gets: 10,
Sandor Sunneson: We have come from Imp Brucke way
chris107: "Hi Rian. pleased to meet you. "
Sandor Sunneson: via Capricia if you know those places? I am Sandor
Sandor Sunneson: So yes, over the hills
Sandor Sunneson: quiet they were too
Smon: She looks over at Sandor. "Imp Brucke? Yes, two priestesses wearing flowers came by from there last week... did you see the Monster?"
Sandor Sunneson: The monster is no more
Sandor Sunneson: And normality has been returned to the town
Smon: Her eyes are wide. "You slew the Great Beast?! I must tell Father!"
Smon: Rian bends down and picks up her shepherdess staff.
Sandor Sunneson: Who is your Father? We can escort you if you wish
chris107: "Great beast?"
Smon: "Ogbert is my father, our Stead is a few miles north... We are forbidden to go south into the hills, because of the beast."
chris107: "That me be the thing that left the bones, Sandor."
chris107: "That still lives lady."
Sandor Sunneson: We may be confusing our beasts, the beast we slew was in Imp Brucke itself
Smon: Rian nods. "It has the head of a Goat, a Lion, and a Dragon... oh." She looks crestfallen.
chris107: "But this stout fellow is a king and renowned beast slayer!"
chris107: "Why he'll have your beast slain in a trice. Won't you King Sandor?"
chris107: "It's what he does."
Sandor Sunneson: We did see an area of bones as we came through the mountains
Sandor Sunneson: Looked as if something has been peckish
Smon: Rian nods. "The Desolation of the Beast!"
chris107: "Let us go put an end to this creature."
Smon: "Father is worried one day it will fly north into the Vale and eat our sheep... or worse. If you could slay it we'd be awfully grateful!" She gives you both a doe-eyed look.
Sandor Sunneson: We shall do anything you want lady
Smon: Rian looks over at Sandor. "Are you really a King?"
chris107: ""Kings need good PR. News of you slaying this creature will spread far and wide."
Sandor Sunneson: I am Sandor, King of Carchimish
Sandor Sunneson: We shall go back to the area where the bones were found
chris107: "And if your beast kills him, I'll bring you some of his blue blood to prove it!"
Smon: Sandor can roll CHA+Prof
Sandor Sunneson rolls 1d20 and gets: 15,
Sandor Sunneson: +5=20
Smon: Rian the shepherdess looks awestruck, falling to her knees. "My King!"
Smon: She kisses Sandor's sandalled foot.
chris107: "Ewwww."
Sandor Sunneson: We will look to free you of this beast, beautiful subject
Sandor Sunneson: No need for the foot kissing, a meal and a bed for the night for us both when we have dealt with the beast will be fine
chris107: Maglor agrees
chris107: "Now go back to your father. Tell him King Sandor goes to kill your beast!"
chris107: M gets his crossbow out ready to fire at any beasts who may ome near.
Smon: Rian nods, rising to her feet. "I can't leave the Sheep your Grace. But we have a croft a half mile north through the trees, where we keep the sheep at night. You can find me there. My sister Esmalia should be coming by tomorrow, when she arrives I can swap with her and take you the Stead."
Sandor Sunneson: Sounds like some kind of mad lion thing Maglor, I remember killing a wild lion thing when I first I arrived here in some caves
Sandor Sunneson: in Dyson's Delve maybe?
chris107: "Only if it had a dragons head as well."
chris107: "Humans!"
Smon: Rian: "It will be dark in two hours... Are you going back to the hills tonight?"
Sandor Sunneson: Manticore think?
chris107: "Come great King! "
Sandor Sunneson: We will
Sandor Sunneson: Might be out at night
Smon: GM: OK you say goodbye to the shepherdess and head back south hunting the Beast?
chris107: "Your fiery blade may attract it's attention."
chris107: @ GM: Yes please!
Smon: The Shep-hound finishes off the sausage and begs for more.
Sandor Sunneson: Lets go and find it
chris107: Maglor will leave it all his sausage. "Remember me kindly if I do not return!"
Smon: Rian bids you farewell. "My brother Yurtus is tending sheep near here - if I see him I'll tell him the news! Bye bye!"
Sandor Sunneson: Was there only one beast Rian?
Sandor Sunneson: Is there?
Smon: She stops and thinks. "Well, those Priestesses thought there might be two... "
Smon: "...But daddy always said the Beast, not Beasts."
Sandor Sunneson: Ok, thanks for the insight
chris107: 1 min brb
Sandor Sunneson: we'll head back to the direction of the bones
Smon: Leaving the lakeshore, you head back north at a good pace, and ascending back into the hills. That evening as dusk approaches you reach the place of Desolation once more.
Smon: /roll d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 4,
Smon: You can make Survival checks for tracking, DC 15
Sandor Sunneson rolls 1d20 and gets: 14,
Sandor Sunneson: +5=19
Smon: Sandor's viking training stands him in good stead. As night falls he locates a large and sinister cave entrance on a north-facing slope. A charnel smell hangs in the air.
Smon: Shattered bones lie scattered about, some clearly human.
chris107: back
chris107: "Shall I scout ahead?"
Sandor Sunneson: Yes, but be careful
Smon: A trickle of water streams out of the cave, wandering down through the rocks.
chris107: Maglor first listens at the cave entrance, hiding to one side.
Smon: Maglor slips silently up to the dark cave. He can hear only the stream.
chris107: using the water to wash any scent of shep-hound from his hands.
chris107: He slowly (1/2 speed) creeps into the cave, sticking to the wall ans using his night vision.
Smon: It's now nearly full dark.
Smon: OK Maglor roll Stealth & Perception.
chris107: in that order.
chris107 Rolls 1d20+13x2 and gets:
3 (+13) = 16
18 (+13) = 31
chris107 rolls 1d20+10 and gets: 4, (+10) = 14
Smon: Stealth 31?
chris107: Passive Perception 20
chris107: yup
Smon: (good, 16 would be a fail)
Sandor Sunneson: He flies in, having had a can of red bull
Smon: Maglor creeps about 50 yards down the cave, until it opens out ahead. He hears grunting and snuffling noises. Creeping carefully forward, from behind a rocky buttress he sees the lair - two massive three-headed Chimera lie esconced amidst charnel debris - and three little baby chimerae are suckling from the teats of one, that has the head of a black dragon!
Smon: The other, with the head of a red dragon, looks on fondly.
Smon: The chimera family seem oblivious to the shadowy elf's presence.
chris107: He tries not to gasp at the wonderful sight.
chris107: He creeps back to let his friend know.
Sandor Sunneson: We have the predators
Sandor Sunneson: How far back from the cave entrance to where the beasts are located?
Smon: A goodly amount of treasure lies scattered around the lair, also - gold bars, silver coins, gemstones, even a shattered lyre.
chris107: M sketches out what he saw
Smon: About 60 yards.
Sandor Sunneson: Where they are in the cave, would it be lit up by natural light at day?
chris107: 110 yards in, I doubt it.
Smon: no
chris107: Did the young look mature enough to fly?
Smon: no, their little wings are just stubs.
Smon: Maglor roll Stealth to get back safely, DC 18.
chris107: "We must finish them all. These are creatures of Chaos."
chris107 Rolls 1d20+13x2 and gets:
2 (+13) = 15
15 (+13) = 28
Sandor Sunneson: I think then we wait for them to leave the cave, or if we made a noise, the male might come to the front of the cave and we can then take said beast on as mother is looking after the young.
Sandor Sunneson: I think the male would be confident in dealing with any enemies as it would see
Smon: Maglor rejoins Sandor near the entrance.
chris107: "We can not fly after them if they flee, King Sandor. Is there a way we can block them into the cave?"
Smon: The cave entrance is about 10' high and 15' across, no obvious way to block it.
Smon: /roll d10
Smon rolls 1d10 and gets: 7,
chris107: "Though I agree if we can kill the male alone we would be in a much better position."
Smon: Not enough scree above to cover it with a rockslide.
Sandor Sunneson: Maybe we make a noise, so the male may come forward to investigate
chris107: Any trees near by?
chris107: "We would have to finish it quickly."
Sandor Sunneson: Or even if we got some lambs from the shepards to use as bait
chris107: "I could lay in hiding and stab it through some vulnerable spot maybe?"
Smon: The hilly slope down to north is barren and desolate, but there are frequent rocky outcrops and a cluster of the twisted crystal spires about 50 yards from the cave exit.
chris107: "Kings make great bait for monsters, I hear." Says Maglor with a perfectly straight face.
Smon: There is plenty of cover amidst the rocks.
Sandor Sunneson: Lol
chris107: "Make a little noise, one of us on each side of the cave entrance maybe? Get a shot in and hope to kill it?"
Sandor Sunneson: They have the cave done up like a home from what you say, I don;t think they are in a rush t move, especially with the young
chris107: "Then go in to finish off the brood?"
Sandor Sunneson: Yes, like the sound of that
chris107: "Make the sound of a sheep?"
Sandor Sunneson: So that will be our plan, we both hide in the cave, make a pastoral animal sound and see what happens
chris107: Outside the cave
Sandor Sunneson: yes
chris107: one on each side. If we are inside it will spot thegreat hulking human
Sandor Sunneson: oh, thought inside so it can't escape
Sandor Sunneson: so no hiding areas in cave?
Sandor Sunneson: ok
Sandor Sunneson: outside then, yes LOl
Smon: So you stand on each side of the cave and make baaing sounds?
chris107: Maglor hides first. Letting S do the bleating.
Sandor Sunneson: and a mooing sound, just about five seconds worth and then into hiding
Sandor Sunneson: 3 bleats
Smon: You moo loudly down the cave?
Sandor Sunneson: one large moo into the cave
Smon: /roll d20+8
Smon rolls 1d20+8 and gets: 2, (+8) = 10
Smon: You make animal noises then hide. Nothing happens.
Sandor Sunneson: loud moo even
Smon: It's full dark now, another starry night/
Smon: brb tea break
chris107: (330 feet is a long way for sound to travel)
chris107: (Perhaps throw a rock down then bleat?)
Sandor Sunneson: yeah, sounds good, or a stone into the cave
chris107: it's 50 yards past the entrance to a 60 yard cave.
Sandor Sunneson: into the side of the cave so it will make a noise when it hits the cave wall
chris107: And if the stone goes into the cave they will know it's not a sheep.
chris107: The stone is just to focus their attention.
Smon: back
Sandor Sunneson: true, ok, do rock trick
Sandor Sunneson: yeah, throw rock and then bleat
Smon: Sandor throws a good-sized rock into the cave, striking against the cave wall.
Smon: /roll d20+8
Smon rolls 1d20+8 and gets: 15, (+8) = 23
chris107: M lies in wait,hidden.
chris107: (hopefully!"
Smon: It makes a nice loud sound - and you hear movement from within the cave.
chris107: (Male had red dragon head, our fiery blades may not be effective...)
Smon: You hide on each side of the cave mouth - a moment later the great red-dragon-headed chimera bursts forth, searching around for who threw the rock...
Smon: /roll d20+8
Smon rolls 1d20+8 and gets: 5, (+8) = 13
chris107: Hide roll
chris107 Rolls 1d20+13x2 and gets:
2 (+13) = 15
17 (+13) = 30
Smon: ok both of you roll hide, DC 18 to get surprise
Sandor Sunneson rolls 1d20 and gets: 18,

Sandor Sunneson: lol, thought not
chris107: "We will never be able to carry this lot. I suggest we tell the sheepherders they can have the copper and most of the silver?"
chris107: "They must share it with others who have suffered from these creatures depredations over the years."
chris107: "What say you, your majesty?"
Smon: If you leave the copper and silver you could carry the rest unencumbered looks like - Sandor can carry a lot.

Sandor Sunneson: 1 in 6 chance my friend
Sandor Sunneson: They will eat that, if they attack us, then they'll have a nasty surprise
Smon: You camp by the cave mouth?
Sandor Sunneson: yeah,

Sandor Sunneson: it stinks in there doesn;t it??
Sandor Sunneson: whereever is comfortable
chris107: It's pretty pongy near that dead creature too."

Smon: Seeing you emerge from the cave into the dawn mist, it gives you a nod of acknowledgement. "CAWW."
chris107: Maglor is happy with his haul and his small part in freeing the sheepherders from fear.
Sandor Sunneson: I love nature Maglor, we have provided a feast for the carriom
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor will bow in its direction
chris107: Maglor grins warmly. "Your Majesty."
Sandor Sunneson: We will take the heads of the beasts or what is left of them to the shephards as evidence of the kill
Smon: (OOC finishing soon.) The crow seems to recognise Sandor's bow.
Smon: The crow stretches its wings in satisfaction at Maglor's greeting.
chris107: (Cool, good session  )
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor will offer the crow an arm to land on, fancy joining me my friend?
Smon: GM: The heads are too big to take all with the loot; you could take one.
Sandor Sunneson: Come Blackie, join the fun and scout ahead for us
Smon: Sandor can roll Persuasion DC 22
Sandor Sunneson: ok
Sandor Sunneson rolls 1d20 and gets: 6,
chris107: The red one then?
Sandor Sunneson: +5=11
Sandor Sunneson: lol
Sandor Sunneson: yeah
Smon: The crow gives Sandor a haughty look and returns to its feast, pulling out the second eye, until disturbed by Sandor hacking the red drake head off.
Smon: You head downhill, dragon head tied to Sandor's pack over the loot bags, as the morning mists lift to another sunny day.
chris107: Maglor whistles happily
Smon: Making your way through the woods you reach the lake mid morning.
Smon: https://youtu.be/xu2pESvXcmM?t=522
Smon:
Smon: The sheep herd seems twice as large, and you see three shepherds - a youth and two girls, including Rian. She spots you and waves as you approach.
chris107: "Sandor you must divide that wealth wisely."
Smon: Rian: "The beast's head! You did it! Thank you strangers... I mean, thank you your Majesty!"
Sandor Sunneson: We kept our word for you
Sandor Sunneson: ,
Smon: Rian's dark-haired sister Esmalia regards Sandor. "You're really the King? I thought old Koloth was king again."
Sandor Sunneson: You shall be safe from the beasts, there were indeed 5 of them, all dead now
Smon: Rian: "Five beasts! My goodness!" She puts a hand to her ample chest.
Sandor Sunneson: If you fancy some coin, we left some change in the cave for your family to collect,
chris107: Maglor leads a merry dance of celebration.
chris107: (About £100K to my reckoning  )
Sandor Sunneson: A message was sent to me to take the throne of Koloth from the powers that be, I have answered that message
Smon: Her brother Yurtus speaks up: "This is great! We thank you both. You must tell father..."
Smon: Esmalia nods at Sandor's explanation.
Smon: Maglor roll CHA +Prof
chris107 rolls 1d20+5 and gets: 8, (+5) = 13
Sandor Sunneson: Hopefully a time of prosperity will follow now and a safe future for us all
Smon: Maglor dances, Rian joins in enthusiastically though lacking elven grace. The other two watch puzzled. The dogs race around barking excitedly.
chris107: Maglor cares not. He's happy
Smon: Esmalia: "I see... thank you very much milord."
Sandor Sunneson: You are welcome, from now on, bowing will be the way forward, foot kissing is a thing of the past
Smon: Eventually a red-faced and panting Rian leads you north, leaving the sheep with her siblings, to a large fortified farmstead. Her father Ogbert is summoned from the lower field and thanks you both profusely for your good deeds.
Smon: Ogbert: "Please stay the night! We'll prepare a feast. On the morrow Rian can show you the road to Carchimish."
Sandor Sunneson: Thank you for your hospitality, there is coin in the beast cave for you as a thank you
Sandor Sunneson: Happily
chris107: "Beware wolves and other scavangers when you go to recover the treasure." Warns maglor.
Smon: The farm folk thank King Sandor profusely, seeming in awe, though Rian seems more fascinated by the mysterious Elf and his billowing cloak.
chris107:
Sandor Sunneson: lol
Smon: Ogbert nods: "We'll bring weapons and hounds, my sons and me. We can handle a few wolves."
chris107: "Then we must get you back for your corenation and royal wedding!"
Smon: That evening you feast, the farmer's wife provides a lavish spread with roast beef and mutton. Rian puts on her finest low cut white dress, a golden pendant nestling between her fulsome breasts, and flirts with Maglor.
Sandor Sunneson: what wedding??
Smon: LOL
chris107:
Smon: Ogbert: "Aye, a KIng must have a Queen!"
chris107: Maglor will feast and party long into the night.
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor joins in too, partying and dancing away
Smon: Esmalia seems the thoughtul type, and asks Sandor many questions.
Smon: Does Sandor explain his friendship with Hakeem?
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor says that there is an alliance with other tribes including Hakeem
Smon: GM: You each get 3200 XP
chris107: Very nice!
Smon: Esmalia: "I suppose you will need to marry Lyssana, she is Queen of Carchmish I think."
Sandor Sunneson: He does not know who sent him the message to rule, so believes it has been sent by Bondor, the God Sword
Smon: Esmalia: "She was married to King Reynard, but it was not a very happy marriage I think."
Sandor Sunneson: I have not met her, I'm following the voices inside my head, this is all a bit odd!!!
Smon: Esmalia: "Voices in your head? Like the madmen who spend too long in the sun?"
Sandor Sunneson: Could be, all just started quite recently Essie, so being a bit cautious
Sandor Sunneson: If you want over time, you can come to Carchmish and join the royal court, good to have intelligence, maybe your destiny lies in the casting of spells?
Sandor Sunneson: They have good intelligence those who cast spells
Smon: Esmalia: "Spells? Is that like reading?"
chris107: 58,533/64,000 XP
Sandor Sunneson: Like magic,
Smon: "There's a man in Alkminis who can read - the priest."
Smon: OOC ok will stop there
Sandor Sunneson: Anything from making people sneeze to producing cones of cold to deal with your enemies
chris107: Nice one. Good session guys
Sandor Sunneson: Excellently done all
Smon: Do you want to long rest before reaching Carchimish, or press on minus 2 rages?

Smon: 2 days at a normal pace.
Sandor Sunneson: is highhaven 1 day?

Sandor Sunneson: and then we are on the main road
chris107: "I hear you wereclose to Hakeem's sister, Lauranna? Maybe she will want to hear about your up coming nuptuals from you?"
Sandor Sunneson: I'm not just marrying someone for the sake of it, especially someone I ain't met. I was surprised by their suggestion so just went along with it.
Sandor Sunneson: They are just peasants here.
chris107: (I think you have Hakeem and the Bronzes to thank for that...)
chris107: (It kind of went with the King thing...)
Sandor Sunneson: It is only the voice in my head that has told me that I am King of this place I haven't visited
chris107: (It never stopped King Rey doing his own thing  )
Sandor Sunneson: Lauranna, well she is a bit feisty and does her own thing, but yes, under that stoneskin she has a heart of gold
Sandor Sunneson: hence why we head to Plato and maybe call in by Highhaven
Sandor Sunneson: rather than go north to Caramesh
chris107: Maglor shrugs.
chris107: Smiling
chris107: "As always, I am at your service. O' Mighty King!"
Sandor Sunneson: so next will be to go to Plato, Sandor happy to risk with 3 rages left
