According to the adventurers' report they defeated a strong force of Orcs in the Contested Corridors, leaving only a couple alive. Likely this was the last remnant of the once mighty Open Sore orcs.
Later that week the elf maid Hatala, a senior member of Trystan's band, gives an enchanted dwarven war axe taken from a dead orc war captain (orc captain decapitated by Amket, a very promising young Altanian Barbarian 'Sword Cult' Fighter - may be hearing more from him...) to Snorri Broadshoulders, a fellow archaelogist. The gruff dwarf is clearly very touched by this gesture.

Tabletop L1 15/7/4447 Trade routes near Bratanis.
They attack the bandit camp from stealth, but the fight becomes more complex as they hear the groaning of zombies from deeper in the camp. When the smoke clears, it seems as if the bandits were hired by hobgoblin cultists to hit that precise caravan, and were given poisoned rum as a 'reward', causing the drinker to die and reanimate.
The PCs then chase down the fleeing cultists, who are escaping on a make-shift raft down the river, with a horse and an wagon of iron ore. According to Barabas's reports, the horse bravely sacrificed itself, flipping the raft and causing the cultists to drown. Barabas insists the party is now called the 'Horse Avengers'.
The PCs return to Bratanis with various riches, including a clawed gauntlet from the cultist leader, which is rumoured to spit lightning [PCs level to lvl 2].
Rumours 18/7/4447 (Bratanis):
Hobgoblin cultists have been spotted for a second time within a day's travel of Bratanis.
Not wanting to sit passively, Thuvia the ruling lady of Bratanis is offering to sponsor brave souls to scout out the surrounding land around the village, with an aim of locating potential threats and allies.
One particular site of interest is the so-called 'Sunless Citadel'.
A party of adventurers entered this site around 2 months ago, and have not returned.
There is a significant reward from the adventurer's family, which remains unclaimed.
More dungeons and sites of interest almost certainly lie within travelling distance of the village, but are currently undiscovered.
