Djenk's Account:

11/9/4447 BCCC
The adventurers: Djenk (Human Tempest Cleric of Thor); Blue (Nemuan Druid); Harlock (Half-Orc/Half-Halfling Rogue) were gladly reunited with Nemesis (Amazon Barbarian); Trystan (Human Bard) with retainer Rekka (Half-Orc Rogue); and  Ying Fu (Human Monk) who all meet Raama the Rat Riding Kobold Dragon Slayer (Kobold Rogue). Once more they set off from Selatine to the Stonehell Dungeon, mindful of Dr Rosa’s visions of Gnoll raiding parties ranging south from the ruins of Tracia.
Traversing the grasslands, the party found evidence of recent Gnoll activity and gave chase into the woods, the able tracking of Nemesis and Blue meant the adventurers caught up to them and swiftly defeated a hunting pack led by an alpha female and accompanied by vicious hyena.
Reaching the chasm outside the entrance to Stonehell, the party rested briefly and investigated a mysterious pool containing an even more mysterious silver sphere resting beneath it.  Their investigations were interrupted by the arrival of a large black bear, which Raama recognised as Cowl of Stonehell, a friendly enough creature who has survived the inhospitable region for many years and is treated as a mascot or totem by the Kobold tribes that the Lady Vex recently secured a treaty with.  Ignoring this information, Harlock decided to attempt to stealthily assassinate the bear. Warned by Djenk and Trystan that doing so would endanger the pact with the Kobolds, he continued anyway and ended up in combat with a very angry bear. This led to Raama attacking Harlock and almost fatally wounding him. The quick action and calm head of Trystan resolved the situation by putting both Harlock and the bear to sleep magically.  Blue soothed and healed the bear and created some goodberries for Harlock. Djenk and Raama then securely tied up Harlock, with Djenk angrily remonstrating with Harlock and trying to get him to agree to behave in a way that didn’t endanger the treaty or the party, however Harlock refused to see the error of his ways. The rest of the party left in disgust with only Blue returning to quickly cut Harlock’s bonds, as to leave him helpless outside Stonehell would mean certain death at the hands, claws or jaws of the next wandering monster that passed.
The main party returned to the strange room of spirit voices on the second level of the asylum explored the previous week. Raama, Nemesis and Trystan were given answers to personal questions and also the information that the means of destroying the Ixithis lies within Stonehell, but not between levels two and six. Harlock skulked about in the previously explored areas of the asylum, taking refuge in the disused vampire crypt and generally keeping his distance from his disgruntled fellow adventurers.
Further exploration led to a room with disturbing and mind altering murals. Shortly after they nearly avoided a two-pronged ambush by deranged descendants of the asylums inmates, but were caught in a pitched battle fought on two fronts that sorely wounded Trystan and Rekka.  Victorious, the party were met by another party of friendly Kobolds who gave them the news that the albino baboon colony were alive and well before leaving them with the intelligence that there was an entrance to level three of the dungeon approximately one hundred feet past the giant acid spitting beetles that had recently nearly killed an entire experienced adventuring party.

Resting and tending their wounds, the party then pressed on, exploring more areas of the asylum before approaching the lair of the giant acid spitting beetles. Nemesis and Ying Fu bravely took on the beetles in single combat with the help of Raama and Blue, the party as a whole making short work of the chitinous menaces.
Surviving with no fatalities but a sundered party, the adventures travelled back to Selatine.  They remained unaware of the fate of Harlock, who followed the party home unseen and at a distance.

BRATANIS (David)
11/3/2018
The local adventurers meet a slightly suspicious eldritch warlock by the name of Varic, and soon find rumours of a local kid kidnapped by a traveller and his band who moved through Bratanis recently.
They follow the trail past an attacked circus caravan, to the 'Tower of the Tempest Mage', an old ruined dungeon complex of a mage who disappeared over a century ago.
On entering, it looked as if the traveller and his band had slaughtered through the local goblins, and broken through a mural to a lower, darker level. The adventurers quickly found out that the locals were just playing possum. As a fight started across multiple rooms, the adventurers had barrels filled with flaming monkeys thrown at them, and talked down Dank, the bugbear who really just wanted to run away and join the circus. He even had a tutu and top hat.
After winning the fight, the adventurers let Dank go, and used the surviving goblins as imprompt trap detectors. 3 dead goblins later, they had worked their way into the lower level, as the decor became more and more... ...cthlthuoid.
Deciding not to stick their hands into slimy green pools, they entered a room with a demonic statue. Sadly at this point, Varic heard a voice in his head mentioning a 'test' which could lead to great power. He accepted the test, at which point a displacer beast appeared from a portal directly behind the new adventurer.
The rest of the party made sure to loot Varic's body after the fight finished.
At this point Dank followed the sounds of combat, and after some fast-talking joined the group in the short term. The motley crew moved deeper into the dungeon, detecting a secret room, with a sacrifice in progress! The traveller, a collection of cultists, and... Dank's ex-girlfriend??
As Dank fought his bugbear girlfriend (who never believed in his circus dream!), the others quickly took down the traveller who was sacrificing the child.
Sadly on the travellers' death, an other-worldly orb of flaming tentacles spawned from his corpse as the ritual found *a* sacrifice. The orb then grappled Uther, the cleric. With only seconds to go until Uther got his mind flayed, the others broke the grapple, and then the orb.
[Note: They managed to take down a creature with the stats of a mind flayer - Cr7!)
