19/8-21/8/46 Kosvar dismissed, Prisha in Hara (morning) - Day of Destiny #1

Morning of 21/8, Prisha has just completed a Long Rest since her battle with the Dark Naga on 14/8 and regains any spell slots not used since, as well as all hit dice. Her arrival in Hara and diplomatic embarrassment was 17/8. At this time various dignataries are gathering at Castle Hara for an important meeting tonight. Lady Llanet has received Prisha's letter and invites her for a walk in the castle rose garden...

Sandor Sunneson: evening or morning (pre meet)?
Smon: It's 9am. It's morning in Hara.
Smon: GM: 4 days since arrival at Hara and the initial disastrous diplomacy. Prisha has been left to her own devices with Orph (not entirely unpleasant) when he's not with Princess Lyssana as her 'vizier'.
joriandrake: Prisha (or I) don't know Shieldbiter, nor Skandiks, so from her standpoint they should also be met with
joriandrake: and when Orph isn't persuading Anna
Sandor Sunneson: Kosvar as bodyguard will go up to the Queen, he will say he wants to clear the air with her, he has been told rumours about his behaviour. I know you have a big day ahead of you, so at a time that suits you best.
Smon: Lyssana has been trying to get to know Lord Bronze, Lady Llanet & Anna (& other Bronzes, it's a big family!) and repair the damage...
joriandrake: Prisha will take time to also talk with Lyssana about this, apologize, and explain circa the same thing she wrote to Llanet about
Smon: Lyssana CHA check
Smon: /roll d20+5
Smon rolls 1d20+5 and gets: 8, (+5) = 13
joriandrake: add guidance +d4
joriandrake: pretty sure Prisha would help her
Smon: /roll d4
Smon rolls 1d4 and gets: 2,
Smon: OK 15
Smon: From 'moderate' to 'quite' good
joriandrake:
Sandor Sunneson: DC 27??
joriandrake: boo
Sandor Sunneson: An ok start then...... (hopefully) 15
Smon: (Jelly/Bard Trystan passed a DC 25 local knowledge check IMC yesterday to discover some hidden rumours re Selatine & the Vex family...) Lyssana reports getting along well with the Bronzes, they clearly want to bring Carchimish into their alliance - as subordinates - and should be willing to provide millitary & logistical support, further develop trade etc.
Smon: lemme check Guidance
Smon: It only lasts 1 minute!
joriandrake: "You touch one willing creature. Once before the spell ends, the target can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to one ability check of its choice. "
Smon: Yeah you left out the duration
joriandrake: Well, Prisha would cast it before Lyssana gets into room to talk about it
joriandrake: Timing it for that one roll
joriandrake: basically o.O
Smon: I'll assume she casts it a LOT on Lyssana over the several days and one 'takes'
joriandrake: true
Smon: Since it's a cantrip.
Smon: So no Guidance for Orph but surely he doesn't need it...
joriandrake: indeed
joriandrake: I sure hope so
Sandor Sunneson: I've made my font bigger
joriandrake: He has to get that manly charm going on for Anna
Sandor Sunneson: bit too big
Smon: Orph: "Anna has zero sexual interest in 15 year old half elf girls, but she does like a bit of Bard I reckon..."
joriandrake: try 14 or 15
Smon: /roll d20+10
Smon rolls 1d20+10 and gets: 19, (+10) = 29
Smon: LOL
joriandrake: "Her loss" Prisha snickers "but tastes are different, get her become an ally"
Sandor Sunneson:
Smon: Orph is HIGHLY successful, not at all to his surprise, and pumps Anna extensively... also gets information.
joriandrake: Prisha perfectly fine with that
Sandor Sunneson: Pregnant?
joriandrake: oh, that also a chance true
Sandor Sunneson: Potential custody battle
Smon: (Anna uses contraception, she's a modern girl)  Orph to Prisha Lyssana & Kosvar one evening: "I reckon what Anna told us that first day was basically right, at least from her point of view - she just wanted to make sure we believed it, and overplayed her hand. I don't think she really believes Hakeem serves the Black Sun, though."
joriandrake: Orph might get the full truth out of Anna then, to know what exactly she planned on the first day and how much was true
Smon: "Sje
Smon: "She's full of anger with him for letting her down - in particular for making her look like a 'foolish girl' in front of her big brother, Namelin."
joriandrake: "I see. She pitied herself just too much then, basically. Glad to know you managed to comfort her in the end" Prisha smiles
Sandor Sunneson: K: I very much doubt Hakeem would ever serve the black sun, having experienced the recent war,
Smon: Orph grins wickedly: "Yeah, comfort. It's what I do. Come here..."
joriandrake: "I assume Anna and Namelin not in best family relationshipo then?"
joriandrake: Prisha goes there
Sandor Sunneson: K: it would be a total change in character of his allegiances
Smon: Orph: "Let's not talk about Bronzes right now..."
joriandrake: [fade to black?]
joriandrake: "...let's not"
Sandor Sunneson: K: Your majesty, I would like a word please........
joriandrake rolls 1d20+12 and gets: 7, (+12) = 19
Sandor Sunneson: K: When I escort you to your room later
Smon: "Kosvar, you stand guard outside Or go take Shae next door. Me Prisha and the Princess have some private business..."
Sandor Sunneson: Yes your Majesty
joriandrake: "Yes, go take Shae next door"
joriandrake: Prisha doesn't turn away, gazing into Orph's eyes
Smon: GM: Moving on.... that evening (say 19/8) Kosvar gets the chance to speak alone with the Princess (just Shae present) as she bathes in a luxurious private bathchamber, with running hot bath water!
Smon: Lyssana: "Kosvar, you know I'm not Queen any more..."
Smon: "Ah Shae, that's very good." She closes her eyes in pleasure as Shae massages her shoulders.
Sandor Sunneson: K: You are still part of the Royal Family and are next in line to inherit your Father's throne
Smon: Lyssana opens her eyes, nods.
Smon: "I know. "
Smon: She sighs. "Namelin doesn't seem interested in me, personally. A pity."
Smon: "Well, I mean, he would take me if I offered.... but it would hardly be a love match."
joriandrake: ooc: she knows of the other Bronze boys I believe
Smon: "Orph is getting on very well with Anna, though..."
Sandor Sunneson: K: You are to follow your heart, as I said many suitors would happily be your better half and I stand by that.
Sandor Sunneson: K: Orph is getting on well with many of the ladies
Smon: Lyssana nods, giggles. "Yes, he is! You know, I have considered..."
Smon: She opens her eyes wide.
Smon: "Do you think the people would countenance a Princess of Carchimish marrying a common-born Bard?"
Sandor Sunneson: K: Does it matter if both are in love with each other?
joriandrake: ooc. ohh, Kosvar burn
Sandor Sunneson: K: be it a Prince marrying a commoner or Princess? No wonder so many fixed relationships end in tragedy
Smon: Lyssana sighs pleasurably as Shae soaps her shoulders and breasts.
Smon: "Love... You think I'm in love with Orph?"
Smon: She smiles mischievously.
Sandor Sunneson: K: Be careful of what you are hearing too, some of the information we heard in Lord Bronze's speech was shall we say slightly twisted and goes against what I have heard
Smon: "No... I don't even know if I can truly even feel love, anymore. There was a boy... but that was long ago. He was 16 when the Brigand Lords killed him."
Smon: "Oh? What have you heard?"
Sandor Sunneson: K: I just hope whoever wins your heart, it's a 2 way feeling, be him dwarf, elf, ranger, rogue or barbarian
Smon: K roll CHA+prof
joriandrake: ooc good luck this usually ended badly
Sandor Sunneson: Don't do this Simon, lol
joriandrake: for Kosvar O.o
Sandor Sunneson:
Sandor Sunneson: here goes
Smon: K had already been Friendzoned
Sandor Sunneson rolls 1d20 and gets: 4,
joriandrake: ooc and remains there considered as part of furniture
Sandor Sunneson: 4+3+2=9
Sandor Sunneson: He's happy with that, she's a nutcase anyway
Smon: Lyssana: "My heart... My heart already belongs to Meroya."
Sandor Sunneson: It goes to the waking up of Dyson Logos
joriandrake: ooc: this is actually a good outcome for Prisha
Smon: Lyssana takes on a wistful look.
Sandor Sunneson: I heard that it was the actions of Prince Sandor Sunneson
Smon: "But a marriage of convenience with Orph, while not ...dynastic... would offer many opportunities..."
Smon: Lyssana: "Yes? Prince Sandor was there. Alongside Namelin, Rasgar, and I think the Nerath priestess Livilla."
Sandor Sunneson: I also heard that when Bisgen was liberated, Prince Sandor was involved aswell, and was initially a casualty. So all I'm saying is take it with a pinch of salt, don;t believe it 100%
Sandor Sunneson: He woke the dragon
Smon: "...Also the Dragonborn Drakonok. Deceased brother of Count Shieldbiter."
Sandor Sunneson: Whilst the others stood backk and hesitated, all rumour though, but nobody I have heard has questioned his role
joriandrake: ooc: have to admit, this scene reminds me of when Bill praised and protected in speech his former, dead character
Smon: "You seem quite a fan of Prince Sandor. Be wary there." She smiles. "He is highly out of favour with my father."
Smon: yup
Sandor Sunneson: It's a strnge one, he is Skandik, but nobody knows of him in Ossary, something doesn't quite add up.
Smon: "Oh yes? I forgot. You're from Ossary originally."
Sandor Sunneson: I am not a fan of his as such, but when you hear people say things that go against the grain in what you've heard, someone isn't telling you the full story
Sandor Sunneson: I left Ossary to fight against the Black Sun
Smon: Her eyes narrow. "You come from Ossary, whose fleet threatens our shores. You praise Prince Sandor, another Skandik, who tried to seize my father's throne. You're lucky Sir Baltek likes you."
Sandor Sunneson: and now am concerned that Ossary has alligned with the Black Sun, so maybe fighting my own people which I feel very uneasy about
joriandrake: ooc: at this point I assume Lyssana thinks Kosvar to be gay =)
Sandor Sunneson: I helped your father during the recent war, acting as a spy against the black sun
Smon: She nods. "Indeed... Your unease in fighting Ossary is a concern to me, too!"
Smon: ok roll cHA+prof K
joriandrake: ooc please don't roll very low o.O
Sandor Sunneson: Helped both Carcamesh and the Amazons. I am your bodyguard,
Smon: yeah!
Sandor Sunneson rolls 1d20 and gets: 1,
Sandor Sunneson: lol
joriandrake: ...
Sandor Sunneson: I resign then,
joriandrake: ooc I guess she just lost all trust in her own bodyguard
Sandor Sunneson: lol
Sandor Sunneson:
joriandrake: ooc: thankfully Prisha won't kick him out just like that...especially as she wants to meet with the Ossarians
Smon: Lyssana's face is thunderous. "I know you fought well at Ractuan. However, clearly your loyalties are conflicted. I suggest you go now to Prince Sandor and give him my friendly greetings. Inform him and his Master that Carchimish desires only friendly relations with them - with Ahyf."
Smon: "You are dismissed from my service."
Sandor Sunneson: Conflicted? really?
Smon: OOC way to go, crit fail at the critical moment.
joriandrake: ooc: this ended worse than the Odo roll
Sandor Sunneson: He'll laugh, talk about jumping to the wrong conclusion
joriandrake: ooc dos Kosvar have an inspiration for pre-game?
Sandor Sunneson: Well good luck with your remaining time here, stay beautiful
Sandor Sunneson: and you too Shae
joriandrake: ooc if yes, he could attempt to salvage this
Smon: "Shae, please escort Kosvar out. Kosvar, thank you for your service. That is all."
Smon: no retcons please
Sandor Sunneson: I'll walk out on my own, he'll leave the room
Smon: even if you had inspiration it has to be used right away
Smon: Kosvar leaves before Shae gets to him.
joriandrake: ooc ok, sorry Fergus
Sandor Sunneson: why?
Sandor Sunneson: you sorry?
Smon: She speaks briefly with L-Cpl Perkins stationed outside
joriandrake: Will Prisha/Orph get to know of this, and if yes when?
Smon: OOC Well Kosvar could be a good secondary PC w Sandor I guess, like Maglor is to Hakeem.
Sandor Sunneson: Not sure what I'll do with him
Smon: GM: Yes, that night after the bath Lyssana tells them what happened.
joriandrake: ooc: Considering Prisha's own mistake she would hire him back
Smon: Kosvar is escorted out of the Castle into the streets of Hara.
Sandor Sunneson: Kosvar will go to a local Inn and check in
joriandrake: Prisha stays calm and silent for a moment "I will hire him. He was helpful against the Naga and I also make mistakes. Yes, he did a lot of those, but I still believe he deserves a chance"
joriandrake: She smiles at Lyssana "I'll keep him away from you, if you wish though."
Sandor Sunneson: bloody dice rolls
Sandor Sunneson rolls 1d20 and gets: 12,
Sandor Sunneson rolls 1d20 and gets: 2,
Sandor Sunneson Rolls 1d20x10 and gets:
2 = 2
9 = 9
8 = 8
5 = 5
9 = 9
6 = 6
10 = 10
14 = 14
5 = 5
6 = 6
Sandor Sunneson: all low !
joriandrake: ooc true, bad results usually , recently
Sandor Sunneson Rolls 1d20x10 and gets:
12 = 12
14 = 14
17 = 17
6 = 6
18 = 18
20 = 20
7 = 7
15 = 15
5 = 5
20 = 20
joriandrake: ok, stop now =)
joriandrake: "He is a ranger, he doesn't have to be taken seriously when giving advice."
joriandrake: "Except on the road as a guide"
Sandor Sunneson: quite amusing though, exactly
Smon: Lyssana looks incredulously at Prisha. "Mistress! I don't want him anywhere near me. His loyalties are obviously conflicted. I hope yours are certain."
joriandrake: Prisha hugs her "YOu don't seriously question my loyalties?"
Smon: roll CHA+Prof
joriandrake: Then she smiles "He won't go near you, promise."
Smon: don't get a 1
Sandor Sunneson: ha ha
joriandrake: my life is jinxed
joriandrake rolls 1d20+7 and gets: 18, (+7) = 25
joriandrake: +1
joriandrake: forgot +1 due to increased proficiency
Smon: Lyssana relaxes a little as Prisha hugs her, smiling.
Smon: "No, of course not my love... Prisha. I mean Prisha." She reddens.
joriandrake: "I didn't help you or your father only to betray you, and Kosvar was... a bit weird ever since the first time we mjet him, and when he walked into the room... so well, I don't think this surprises me much"
joriandrake: Prisha smiles and kisses her
Smon: Over on the big bed, Orph smilles softly to himself. Shae pours more night-wine.
Sandor Sunneson: Kosvar will go for a night out in Hara, get a gist of the place, go to bars which are a bit ruff to see if he hears any rumours
Smon: Lyssana responds eagerly to Prisha's touch.
Smon: Lyssana: "I can't possibly take him back, you understand... But let's not speak of this further. It's time for bed..."
joriandrake: Prisha with a questioning, raised eyebrow pulls Lyssana to the bed, towards Orph
joriandrake: "I will look for him tomorrow, let us change...subject"
Smon: Kosvar - in Hara the streets are full of news and rumour concerning the Great Council, to begin in 2 days' time.
Smon: Prisha roll Insight since J isn't getting it
Smon: Kosvar roll CHA+prof to gather info
Sandor Sunneson rolls 1d20 and gets: 7,
Smon: Prisha WIS+prof
Sandor Sunneson: +4=11
joriandrake rolls 1d20+8 and gets: 4, (+8) = 12
Sandor Sunneson: better than 1
Smon: Kosvar hears that High Priest Larsonos of Mitra has arrived from the Temple Tomb of Belaras.
joriandrake: ooc If I can't hire Kosvar as Prisha then it truly will be hard to keep the character around
Smon: The Lords of the West will be hear tomorrow, their Herald is already here.
Sandor Sunneson: ooc: calm down, he'll mingle around
Smon: GM: You can't keep him around Lyssana. If Prisha keeps pushing she'll lose Lyssana too.
joriandrake: ooc okay
Sandor Sunneson: ooc: he'll be Prisha's bodyguard then
Sandor Sunneson: ooc: if not no worries,
Sandor Sunneson: Kosvar will look around town to find a temple to Ullr
joriandrake: Prisha stops talking about Kosvar for the time being, meanwhile considering other ptions, like keping his as an outlook, scout and still a bodyguard but from a distance
Smon: OOC Both of you try to avoid having the PC-ness of a character over influence your PC's behaviour. It makes them look weird and untrustworthy to the NPCs. Kosvar praising Sandor, Prisha determined to keep KOsvar.
joriandrake: Now, Prisha focuses on Lyssana and orph
Sandor Sunneson: That was the first time he mentioned Sandor though I think
Sandor Sunneson: lol, it was a general comment
Smon: Fergus I guess you could make a new PC if you wanted to keep playing w Prisha. But avoid foolishness like praising Sandor like that!
Smon: Luckily Lyssana is nice & only dismissed him.
Sandor Sunneson: Nah, this story has started, it wouldn't be right to bring another PC into the storyline like that, yes point taken
Smon: Some NPCs would have had K thrown in jail as a spy.
Sandor Sunneson: or worse......
Smon: Kosvar finds a sort of rustic Druidic temple.
joriandrake: ooc Prisha wouldn't press the issue, the reasoning IC was that we would lose an extra guard, an archer whish already provied himself capable against the Dark Naga
joriandrake: proved*
joriandrake: ooc: you might want to "reskin' Kosvar as different archetype ranger andoriginating from Hara, so stats would be same but different person, if both of oyu are fine with that
Sandor Sunneson: He'll enter the building and go and find a bench and pray for inspiration, thanking Ullr for the assistance he gave him in helping to overcome the Dark Naga
Smon: K - The temple appears dedicated to Brigit-Erathis, some kind of Nerathi-Tharbrian nature goddess.
Smon: But there are alcove shrines for other gods.
Smon: At one to the "Gods of the Wildness" Kosvar prays to Uller.
Sandor Sunneson: OOC: Simon, obv we now have 2 storylines here, do you want me to stay logged in or do you need to focus on events going up to the meeting?
Smon: I want to go to morning of 21/8 in a minute, with Prisha yes.
Smon: brb
Smon: 21/8, morning - Prisha is breakfasting with Orph and the Princess in their room. Apparently the Lords of the West arrived late last night, and the Great Council will be this evening.
Smon: Things are still going well with Orph & Anna Bronze, and Lyssana has some hope she has repaired things re Prisha.
joriandrake: ooc I think this is the timing for the letter then?
Smon: Lyssana: "They are inviting the High Priests to the Council - Larsonos of Mitra and Livilla of Erathis & Mellora. I have suggested that as High Priestess of Meroya, you should also attend..."
Smon: A manservant knocks and enters.
joriandrake: "I already considered my options, I wrote a letter which Orph should..."
joriandrake: She then turns to the servant
Smon: "Mistress Prisha. The Lady Llanet thanks you for your letter and invites you to walk in the gardens with her, at the 10th hour of the day (10am)."
joriandrake: ooc ok nvm letter already sent
Smon: About 30 minutes, enough time to get dressed
Smon: I pm'd you Orph ok'd the letter
joriandrake: "Thank you, tell Lady Llanet I accept the invitation and wil lgo to the meeting shortly"
Smon: The servant bows and withdraws.
Smon: Lyssana smiles: "That sounds hopeful! Llanet seems to like you. Time for a ...?"
joriandrake: "Orph... please tell me where the gardens are, it would be terrible if I can't find the place now"
Smon: Orph nods. "Sure thing."
joriandrake: "For dressing up and attempt to fix my own mistakes" Prisha nods
Smon: LOL
Smon: Lyssana looks disappointed, but recovers well.
joriandrake: "Orph, you're free to dress me up, or down, any time"
Smon: Also Prisha can have Inspiration
joriandrake: and she smiles. kisses Lyssana's forehead "rest a bit, you will have a lot to do"
Smon: GM: at 10 am, Orph escorts a well-dressed Prisha Acharya down to the lovely rose gardens of Castle Hara, then discretely withdraws.
joriandrake: Prisha watches the roses, smells them, waits patiently
Smon: A couple Haran guards stand well back, but Lady Llanet is alone among the Nerathi roses, dressed in black & gold - black for the second husband she still mourns.
Smon: Llanet: "This blue one is the Winter Rose... normally it grows only on the high slopes of the Castellan Mountains...."
joriandrake: When Prisha notices her, she goes closer. "Good morning Lady llanet. Thank you for your invitation to the lovely gardens."
joriandrake: Prisha nods, admiring the blue roses
Smon: "...But our gardener are most skilled. The scent is delightful, don't you think?"
Smon: s
joriandrake: "Indeed, beautiful roses, garden, and... while not sure of the beauty of the gardeners, they're most skilled"
Smon: Llanet smiles warmly. "Good morning Prisha. I'm very glad you could come."
Smon: "Walk with me a little ways..."
Sandor Sunneson: Good luck Prisha! May the dice Gods be with you when required !!!
joriandrake: Prisha nods, and quetly walks beside Llanet
Smon:
joriandrake: ooc: thank you Fergus, I really need that luck
joriandrake: ooc: Prisha cast the spell (Eagle's Splendor) just in case, as written in PM
joriandrake: ooc: i mean she already had casted beforem eeting up
Smon: Llanet: "...Princess Lyssana has explained that there was a mistake of understanding, that you meant no offence." (ok)
Sandor Sunneson: Kosvar will chill out at the temple whilst the meeting goes on, to find himself after that period of bad luck (aka dice rolls), and chat to some clerics for sollice
Smon: Llanet chuckles. "Somehow my foolish daughter got the mistaken impression you intended to seduce her!"
Smon: (Ok)
Smon: Llanet eyes Prisha sharply.
Smon: "...So, why did you try to seduce her?"
joriandrake: Prisha looks down, apologetically. "Indeed, I tried to explain what happened. I didn't mean no harm, or do anything which isn't welcome"
Smon: Llanet sighs. "You are very young."
joriandrake: Prisha raises her head. "I only offered comfort lady Llanet. I listened to her problems, tried to console her, and ... well, I am a priestess to a Love goddess. It wasn't as much seduction than a different form of offered comfort, which she clearly rejected, and that is fine."
Smon: roll cha
Smon: w advtg of course
joriandrake Rolls 1d20+8x2 and gets:
16 (+8) = 24
14 (+8) = 22
Smon: Llanet smiles. "That is exactly what I suspected. You are a Priestess of Love, so of course you offer Love... I would only suggest that you learn to offer, perhaps, different sorts of kindness."
Smon: Llanet sniffs a hanging purple rose, carefully avoiding the thorns as she lowers it.
Smon: "This is the Royal Rose. A good omen that it blooms today."
Smon: She releases the stem.
Smon: "Personally, I never much cared for the scent."
joriandrake: Prisha nods. "I try my best to offer various ways of kindness and help. As mentioned, I truly tried to listen to her problems, aid her in any way required and to comfort her. That is all." Prisha watches the the purple roses "Lovely, good omens are also always welcome"
joriandrake: "Roses are like life, full of beauty, thorns, and color"
Smon: Llanet nods. "Indeed. My youngest daughter does indeed have her problems. Hakeem's betrayal struck her hardest of all. She had truly believed he was the One - to refound Nerath. When in fact the truth was before her eyes, all along."
Smon: "Talking of beauty, thorns, and coloour... see this list."
Smon: Llanet produces a small parchment scroll, unfurls it.
joriandrake: "It is hard to rebuild old buildings, easier to build sturdier, new ones, using the stones from the previous ruins." Prisha remarks, then looks at the list
Smon: "The Council of Hara. What do you think?"
Smon: tbc
Smon: Council of Hara, From 20/8/4447 EASTERN NERATH 1. Namelin Bronze (Head of Council), Lord of Hara 2. Lady Llanet Bronze (f), Head of Clan Bronze 3. Anna Bronze (f), sister of Namelin, Vizier 4. Tagoler, Ranger Lord of the Rangers of the Wode 5. Lyssana Koloth-Mercellin, Princess, representing Carchimish (f) 6. Prisha Acharya, High Priestess of Meroya (f) 7. Larsonos, High Priest of Apollo-Mitra WESTERN NERATH 8. Livilla of Renth, High Priestess of Erathis & Mellora (f) 9. Kogol Verganth of the Renth Lands, General of the Armies of West Nerath 10.Danelac of Colisth, Commander of the Knights of Nerath
joriandrake: "It's a honor to be included on it" She softly says, reading the other names
Smon: Llanet nods. "Princess Lyssana spoke eloquently in your advocacy. She explained it was her own fault that you had somehow received the mistaken impression you were here to negotiate a 'trade deal'..." Llanet wrinkles her nose, as if at a bad smell, but still smiling.
Smon: "...And cast herself upon Namelin's mercy. My son has forgiven you. We need not speak of it again."
Smon: Llanet looks up, smiles brightly. Morning sun lights her face.
Smon: "Now, is there anything you wish to ask, ahead of tonight's Council?"
joriandrake: Prisha thanks her, then turns back to the list "The list seems a bit short. Is there no word from the other co-regent, perhaps a try to reach out to the amazons or concerned noble houses of the Emprie which may lose wealth or prestige due to the actions of the Conqueror, as I wrote in the leter?" prisha then stays silent for a moment "Could we invite the great dragon?"
Smon: Llanet nods, laughing slightly. "Those are good questions."
Smon: She breathes deeply.
joriandrake: A bit afraid, she speaks up again "...still unsure of the full political picture, but meeting those Ossary people could also be beneficial. In various ways, with at least being able to take a closer lok at them?"
Smon: "We have just heard from Ahyf town, on the Korm Basin. Hakeem's wife Malenn now rules as Queen - the Golden Queen, they call her. We regard this as excellent news."
joriandrake: Prisha nods
joriandrake: "may she be wise ... and peaceful"
Smon: Llanet raises an eyebrow at the talk of Ossary. "First, regain friends, Prisha. Before you seek audience with enemies!"
joriandrake: "True... of course you're right my Lady. I just think of the possible reactions from invited allies and friends how they might react to even the suggestion of a metteing between the parties"
Smon: Llanet: "The Golden Queen is indeed wise, and beautiful, and much loved. I am sure she will be an excellent ruler. And she will, we hope, keep her husband in check."
joriandrake: meeting*
Smon: roll cha
joriandrake: "Well, if she's not a warrior, as I heard a barbarian, then already better ruler than the Conqueror"
joriandrake Rolls 1d20+8x2 and gets:
12 (+8) = 20
1 (+8) = 9
joriandrake: ooc so happy for advantage here, altho first roll was the better
Smon: "The Golden Queen is a Paladin of Apollo-Mitra, the Lion, Lord of Justice. A common faith in these lands. She intends to found a new Shield Hall of Mitra in Ahyf."
joriandrake: "Sounds lovely, I myself considered the opening of a temple here in Hara instead. Such a lovely place would fit for the goddess of Love"
Smon: "We will be sending an Emissary to her, of course. And in time, to those other friends who lands lie beyond the immdiate borders of the new Kingdom."
joriandrake: "New Kingdom?" prisha asks, hoping to hear Lady Llanet to fill in all missing details.
Smon: "I'm sure a Temple of Love would be welcome here. Mindful of our quaint Nerathi customs, of course. Honour, duty, fidelity..."
joriandrake: Prisha silently nods
joriandrake: ooc: so the semi-rumor of secession is true?
Smon: "Yes." Llanet gazes deeply into Prisha's eyes.
Smon: "Just as Malenn of Mitra is become Queen. Tonight my son Namelin Bronze becomes King of Nerath."
joriandrake: "Well, I wish the best for all involved as I mentioned earlier. "Prisha gently smiles at the woman "and I hope I can be of asssitance to the restored Nerathi Kingdom, and with peace and prosperity in mind."
Smon: Llanet smiles back, eyes twinkling, and takes Prisha's hand.
Smon: Pats it maternally.
joriandrake: Prisha lets her, smiles
Smon: "That is exactly what I hoped to hear."
Smon: Llanet strolls with Prisha back to the garden entrance.
joriandrake: "May I ask if we could still manage today to invite the great dragon? A coronation ceremony with him present would also gain prestige"
Smon: "You shall have your Temple of Love, here in Hara. In return, perhaps you could go to Ahyf, send our greetings to Queen Malenn, our offer of alliance against the Coming Darkness. I mean the Skandik threat."
joriandrake: Prisha nods. "It would be a honor, if Princess allows me to leave for Ahyf, that is. Although I don't think she would be against aiding our allies and friends."
joriandrake: Princess lyssana*
Smon: Llanet nods. "Unfortunately, inviting the Dragon, Dyson Logos, is not an easy matter. His Delve lies in wild country, near Selatine and the Lighthouse of Ulther. We will need to plan an expedition carefully, choose the best men and women for the task..."
Smon: Llanet nods. "I have already spoken with Princess Lyssana. She is willing to intercede with Queen Malenn on our behalf - and on behalf of Carchimish."
Smon: "We can only hope that the Rage of Hakeem has cooled. I do not believe he is an evil man... but he has done much harm, these past few weeks. We hope that is over now, and that we can now rebuild again. This time upon a firmer foundation."
joriandrake: She looks at the roses. " A pity, he then won't be able to attend the ceremony, or the meeting" Then turns back to Llanet. "In this case I'm happy to go and visit Queen Malenn. I assume it is due after tonight's grand meeting?"
joriandrake: Prisha nods seriously "Indeed, I heard Hakeem do many good things. and some bad ones. He seems like a man with good intentions, but lacking leadership quality. I hope conflict can be avoided"
Smon: Llanet shakes her head. "That is not yet decided. And yes, the official coronation of Namelin I, King of Nerath, is yet weeks away - time enough to rouse Dyson from his slumbers."
Smon: You reach the garden entrance.
Smon: "Hakeem... Yes. I think it is as you say. He is a man of great talents... and great flaws. The flaws more apparent since war gave way to peace. He is a man of action, that is clear."
joriandrake: "Glad to hear it, I feared I was left out of even hearing about hte joyous news of the coronation and might happen tonight with all the guasts present" Prisha smiles. "The more friends and allies are present the more.... sovereign the ceremony will be? No, that's not the word. Regal?"
Smon: Llanet pauses, stops by the winter roses at the entrance. Looks from there up at Hara Castle's high surrounding walls.
joriandrake: guests*
joriandrake: "I may dare to say it would matter a lot to have Queen Malenn also present"
Smon: She ignores Prisha's last words, seeming deep in thought. "We must avoid war... War among ourselves. A mighty Skandik host threatens us all. If we do not stand together, we shall all perish in a sea of fire and blood. And then the Black Sun will laugh."
Smon: Llanet looks down, matches Prisha's gaze. A pause, one final thought.
Smon: "You were right, you know. That first night here."
Smon: "We were fools to hand Megaera Lorvas over to Hakeem Greywolf. We have brought much evil upon ourselves. But I still believe we were right to oppose the Black Sun."
joriandrake: Prisha nods. Not repeating her earlier words, and awaiting Lady Llanet's explanation on what she was right with (often already hard to get nobility admit someone is right, let it be at her own pace)
Smon: Llanet sighs. "The Black Sun turned the Dream of Nerath into an unspeakable nightmare. We heard the news from across the mountains - the corpse-pyres of the slaughtered Altani burned day and night."
Smon: "Before she left us, Megaera Lorvas swore to do the same to Hara. And now she has the means to get her wish."
joriandrake: "Megaera is a great danger now, everyone can make mistakes, we mortals have to try and improve oruselves i nthis and our coming lives to overcome these weaknesses. We are able to learn from our mistakes and pass our knowledge down to our children, this is a divine boon which can improve the lives of families and empires."
joriandrake: Prisha pauses again "... the Altani must hate her very much then, a good reason to stay friends with us"
Smon: "I hope so, dear one. I truly, truly hope so."
Smon: "Ah, here comes your chaperone!"
joriandrake: Prisha smiles encouragingly "THe people here fought the Black Sun as btohers and sisters before, they shall remember than, and coopare again" Prisha ads then looks at the 'chaperone'
joriandrake: brothers*
joriandrake: cooperate* (damn typos)
Smon: Llanet nods at Prisha's last words, smiles, greets Orph cordially. "Vizier Orph, so good to see you. Until tonight then, Mistress Prisha?"
Smon: OOC stopping there.
Smon: GM: You did extremely well so I'm giving 1500 XP.
Sandor Sunneson: Well done Prisha
Sandor Sunneson: and Kosvar??
joriandrake: thank you
Smon: Kosvar gets 25 XP from Uller.

Sandor Sunneson: You certainly did Jorian, nice one
