chris107: Evening gentlemen
joriandrake: hi
Smon: Hi all
Sandor Sunneson: evening boys
Sandor Sunneson: and girls,
Smon: Found a copy online of the cover of the adventure I'm running - http://smons.blogspot.com/?zx=3165ed7379a126b7
Sandor Sunneson: Simon, can we get Bill to communicate better please, it's not fair on the others that he tells you direct what he's doing and we don't know. I know Bill can do it, having seen him play face to face
Smon: Yeah he can be bad, though I have been posting SB's actions.
chris107: Love the cover. From an old Warhammer boxed set I think?
Smon: You seemed to have a lot of trouble following what I was posting this morning. Would a different font or colour help?
Smon: It looks to be by John Blanche who did a lot of Warhammer.
chris107: all's good here
Sandor Sunneson: phone brb
chris107: Looks like things did not go to plan this morning?
Smon: Adventure was written for level 7-8 PCs but I've toned it down, eg replaced level 4 duergar fighters with standard 4 hd duergar from the 5e MM for the elites, and used half hp duergar for the grunts.
Smon: It went better than I expected.
chris107: haha
chris107: Considering we're levels 10+ I thought you'd have beefed it up!
chris107: 10-11-14-18?
chris107: From what little I've seen the CR is all to cock in 5e anyway.
Sandor Sunneson: Back
chris107: wb Fegus
joriandrake: your black font is fine
Sandor Sunneson: Cheers Chis
Sandor Sunneson: Bill logging on?
joriandrake: this adventure jsut shows that the luck of dices determinate the results more than actual skills/levels of enemies
Sandor Sunneson: I've rolled up 6 x 4d6 just in case for my new 1st level character in case it does go wrong lol
joriandrake: remember even if Sandor happens to die .. as long Prisha survives you have a good chance to get revived
Sandor Sunneson: If you get the body
Smon: >>Considering we're levels 10+ I thought you'd have beefed it up!<< Much harder to get to 'only hit on 20' in 5e.
6:05pm  2018-6-30 DESTROYERBILL Has entered the room
chris107: Evening Bill
joriandrake: Well, don't get eaten by a dragon
Sandor Sunneson: Evening Bill
joriandrake: hi Bill
Sandor Sunneson: lol
DESTROYERBILL: evening
Sandor Sunneson: Humanburger
chris107: SB will be a 20 to hit. San & Moff 18?
Sandor Sunneson: lol
Sandor Sunneson: Evening Bill
Sandor Sunneson: If you get the body
Sandor Sunneson: I've rolled up 6 x 4d6 just in case for my new 1st level character in case it does go wrong lol
Sandor Sunneson: Bill logging on?
joriandrake: With shield Prisha ac 18 as well
chris107: 15/18/20 not bad
Sandor Sunneson: Any ideas what to do? Should we try and locate a secret door behind the statue? You did roll a DC30 for something and fail? Maybe with Sandor/Bill they might pass that togetjer?
chris107: But if we're crafty. Hopefully we won't have to test it.
chris107: Have you seen the map, Ferg?
joriandrake: I believe the 30DC was an attempt to topple the statue to get rid of the duargar army, might be mistaken though
chris107: I think so too
chris107: many tons of stone
chris107: and only 30' high
joriandrake: however I aagree that while enraged SB and Sandor could try it together
chris107: so wouldn't aquish many and would loose you your cover.
joriandrake: not only would that give advantage, but I assume also lower DC due to cooperation?
chris107: Why would you want to topple your only cover?
Smon: GM: OK so Prisha Harlgrimm & Seroni have rendeszvoused with Moffet back up the tunnel at the junction. Sandor and SB are surrounded by the Bolivian Army/Duergar & hiding behind a 50 ton stone statue.
joriandrake: So a toppled statue wouldn't block the tunnel for the duergar Chris?
chris107: There aren't any swarves within 30' anyway
DESTROYERBILL: to smoosh people
chris107: No, look at the map
chris107: they are 60' away and it's a 30' statue
DESTROYERBILL: to block the hall way
chris107: They are not close enough to smush
chris107: look at the map/read Simon's description
joriandrake: Prisha and the others tell Moffet about the events, Seroni's rescue, and that the two barbarians didn't return
Sandor Sunneson: What sandor will do is use up his 2 remaining ointments and he has 9 potions of healing
chris107: Moffet outlines his plan to use the brave Barbarian's diversion to search for the secret tunnels Maglor told them about.
Sandor Sunneson: Whilst he does that SB can just stand guard to see if any rogues attack De Buhen style?
Sandor Sunneson: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_de_Bohun
Smon: >>look at the map/read Simon's description<< Seconded - it gets a bit frustrating having to constantly repeat myself.
chris107: https://imgur.com/GrSIpS8
joriandrake: where? what map?
Smon: Roll healing Sandor & anyone else using it.
chris107: each square is 10'
chris107: I've marked on the characters positions
chris107: I posted the link on the DF thread this afternoon. There it is again.
joriandrake: ah
joriandrake: thanks
Sandor Sunneson: ah, not the facebook site, duuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
DESTROYERBILL: good work on the map chris
chris107: posted it on the facebook site too
chris107: there for everyone to see.
Sandor Sunneson rolls 18d4+18 and gets: 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 4, 1, 4, 3, 2, 3, 3, 3, 1, 1, 2, 3, 1, (+18) = 59
chris107: thanks Bill
Smon: Re map, only thing I'd add is that the cavern wall bulges out just west of the dwarf statue, giving cover from any duergar approaching S&SB from the west side.
chris107: noted
Smon: Sandor swigs down potions for 9 rounds while the duergar manoeuvre in the cavern, you can hear their marching feet and the heavy tread of their warbeasts.
Sandor Sunneson rolls 2d8+2 and gets: 2, 8, (+2) = 12
chris107: big caves are always best guess when mapping but the critical part is the 60' to the entrance
Sandor Sunneson: 137
Smon: Also the sound of heavy iron-shod wheels as war engines of some kind are moved into position.
chris107: Moffet again tries to impress the urgency of finding a second path while they are engaged
joriandrake: (what was the 18d4 +18 for?)
Smon: 18d4 = 9 healing potions
chris107: "They will not stay engaged for ever. I'm amazed they haven't sent hunting parties up this corridor yet."
joriandrake: (ok)
Sandor Sunneson: yes, that was all my healing potions drunk
chris107: Can Seroni move quickly?
joriandrake: "The idea seems sound, the enemy will focus on that route now"
Sandor Sunneson: Ok, whilst SB stands guard, Sandor will see if there is a hidden tunnel behind where they hide
chris107: "I think our elf friend here and this big fellow Harlgrim should set a false trail back to the bridge. Wiping our prints behind us you and I head SW Prisha?
DESTROYERBILL: "sandor they might be trying to knock down the statue"
chris107: "Then they should head back to Ahyf to warn of what has happened and give a report to that clever fellow Maglor."
Smon: roll investigation Sandor
Sandor Sunneson rolls 1d20+6 and gets: 10, (+6) = 16
joriandrake: "False tracks could work, but then the two need to check each other's work to notice if they made mistakes" (so they avoid a 1 roll massacre)
DESTROYERBILL: can i try
Smon: Sandor doesn't see any sign of a secret door in the rough cavern stone behind the statue.
Smon: SB searches too,
chris107: "Well either way I guess we will have a job getting out."
chris107: "But we must try."
DESTROYERBILL rolls 1d20+6 and gets: 8, (+6) = 14
Sandor Sunneson: Would they really knock down the statue of their God?
Smon: Seems solid
DESTROYERBILL: i just kick at the wall very hard
Sandor Sunneson: lol
chris107: "Come on Mrs. Prisha! We must be brave and act now!"
joriandrake: ""however, while Seroni is wounded we need to consider to stay on the missio nand rescue our friends. I can heal Seroni further, but that will mean fewer spells will be available later"
Smon: SB kicks at the solid rock. S & SB hear the duergar commander again: "Surrender now and we will be lenient with thee!"
joriandrake: "If we pres on it would perhaps be a mistake to send anyone back and have even fewer people on our team left"
DESTROYERBILL: you should be the ones surendring
chris107: "What ever we are going to do. We need to do it now. Seroni, are you fit to continue with us?"
joriandrake: Prisha ponders the situation
DESTROYERBILL: this is actually an ambush surender or die
Smon: Seroni: "I'm feeling a little shaky, thank you Halfling."
joriandrake: "Seroni, I can heal you more, I am wounded as well, but that means we have fewer spells for later"
chris107: "Two of us agin an army will be as good as four. Stealth and speed not numbers are our ally."
joriandrake: "In that case it wouldn't be wise to send the scout back home, and Halgrimm isn't wounded"
chris107: "Cast the spells if we are all going. But do it now."
Smon: S & SB hear the sound of the war-beasts approaching.
Sandor Sunneson: Your best fighter here, who is he?
joriandrake: "all right." Prisha will heal Seroni more
chris107: "No point going to heaven with a full spell book as my old dad used to say."
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor gets his sword ready
joriandrake: Prisha casts beacon of hope then...
DESTROYERBILL: i ready to rage as soon as they do anthing to hurt us
Smon: /roll d2
Smon rolls 1d2 and gets: 1
joriandrake: a level 4 healing word
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor ready to rage too
joriandrake: Seroni is Healed 23 HP, how does she look now?
Smon: SB is behind the west leg, Sandor the east. This means SB benefits from the rock protruding just west of the cleft, he can only be attacked from the east side, while Sandor can be attacked from w and e. Both legs are about 3' or so wide.
Smon: Seroni looks healed up, she nods in thanks to P.
joriandrake: Prisha looks at Moffat, any wounds?
chris107: swap places? SB has more HP and better AC
Sandor Sunneson: That ok and then fight back to back?
DESTROYERBILL: okay
joriandrake: (Chris is your char wounded at all?)
chris107: "I'm unharmed thanks Mrs. Prisha." He explains the layout of the cave ahead. suggesting we travel low and slow agin the east wall.
chris107: (I'm a slow typer. sorry)
DESTROYERBILL: wait one bit would they get a bunch of shots on us if we moved
joriandrake: Prisha continues to concentrate on the Beacon and casts another healing spell
Smon: >>Seroni is Healed 23 HP, how does she look now?<< Sorry you mean she was healed 23 earlier? I had 17 down. She is max 32 hp.
joriandrake: ok
chris107: "And keep your eyes pealed looking for anything that may conceal an entrance.
Smon: If Seroni was healed 23 and had 1 she's on 24/32
joriandrake: Prisha uses another lvl4 spell on herself, also fully healed
chris107: Moffet keeps watch on the odd fissures above.
Smon: Harlgrimm is on 26/50
joriandrake: she had been healed this morning
joriandrake: I just boosted her HP to max now
Smon: how?
joriandrake: oh, I thought he isn't wounded
Smon: Bill is explaining Beacon of Hope to me
joriandrake: > joriandrake: Prisha casts beacon of hope then... DESTROYERBILL: i ready to rage as soon as they do anthing to hurt us Smon rolls 1d2 and gets: 1 joriandrake: a level 4 healing word Sandor Sunneson: Sandor ready to rage too joriandrake: Seroni is Healed 23 HP, how does she look now?
joriandrake: it means max healing
joriandrake: no dices rolled
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor will pray to Ullr
Smon: yup thx, Bill explained jus now
Sandor Sunneson: lol
chris107: (Maybe Harlgrimn and Seroni would better serve us acting as decoys and getting word back to Ahyf. If all goes pear shaped at least they could arrange a relief force?)
joriandrake: Prisha will also cast it on Harlgrimm and then is out of that level spells
Smon: Please don't do () chris I need to know what PCs saying
chris107: (Or at full HP maybe not  )
joriandrake: she ends concentrating on beacon
chris107: Sorry
Smon: how much is harlgrimm healed?
joriandrake: Halgrimm at 49 hp now, due to healing after revive and now Seroni is fully healed, Prisha also fully healed
Smon: OK
joriandrake: "I healed us all, but I used a lot of divine energy for it" Prisha says as she looks around
Smon: Seroni: "They are alerted - we should retreat and let them go back to sleep."
DESTROYERBILL: "sandor we both have chilldren i sugest a reatreat at the same time so we take eqal amount of arrows "
Smon: /roll d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 1,
Sandor Sunneson: Ok
Smon: THe warbeasts are still moving up.
chris107: "I agree that some of us should. The Golden Queen needs to know her peril. But we can't leave outr friends and maybe there's a backdoor like that Mr. Maglor said?"
Sandor Sunneson: let me check Chris's map
joriandrake: Prisha nods "I leave it to you and Moffat to decide if we try the other route now or we retreat fully."
DESTROYERBILL: we can both move 80 at full were 60 from exit we can make it
Smon: /roll d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 5,
DESTROYERBILL: we should rage at the same time and run
joriandrake: "This is a decision more for military and scout-minded people. I wil ldo my best to asssist and if required revive our companions if we press on however"
DESTROYERBILL: its now or never sandor
chris107: "Let's give our friends five more minutes then. If we don't hear from them, Prisha and I will look for another way in. You and Halgrimn take news back to Ahyf?"
joriandrake: Prisha will wait for Seroni and Moffat to decide if staying or fleeing
Smon: Harlgrimm: "We cannot fight an army. I do not understand why our comrades did not come back to us..."
Sandor Sunneson: lets do it,
Smon: Harlgrimm nods reluctantly to Moffet.
DESTROYERBILL: we rage and run
joriandrake: "Maybe they went too much into berzerk to think clearly? I doN't know how that works"
chris107: "Barbarians can do that sometimes."
joriandrake: Prisha asks the team to take a defensive position with readied attacks
joriandrake: "We wait 5 minutes, and stay alert"
Sandor Sunneson: Bill your character has better AC and more HP than me,
chris107: Moffet creeps down the corridor, just to the bend, so he can peek around.
Sandor Sunneson: ok,
Sandor Sunneson: guess raging doubles hit points too or half damage
chris107: 1) to make sure we are not been crept up upon and 2) in the hope of seeing our friends
DESTROYERBILL: half damage
chris107: "5 minutes." He hisses as he leaves.
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor will take his last keoighton's ointment too
Sandor Sunneson rolls 2d8+1 and gets: 2, 5, (+1) = 8
Smon: GM: SB & Sandor dash out from the statue legs, in among the rotating forms of several war beasts rotating to smash with their mace tails.
joriandrake: Prisha nods while looking worriedly after the halfling leaving alone
chris107: He grins an impish grin at her as he leaves
Smon: Roll DC 12 acrobatics Sandor & SB to avoid opp atts
Smon: DEX+prof
joriandrake: (Well you have the Lucky trait at least, so you can even benefit from crit 1 rolls if you roll much better the second time)
DESTROYERBILL rolls 1d20+8 and gets: 14, (+8) = 22
chris107: good luck guys
Sandor Sunneson rolls 1d20+9 and gets: 13, (+9) = 22
chris107: yay!
joriandrake: (if this was while raging you had advantage, just saying, both of oyu succeeded anyway)
Sandor Sunneson: just going to check my baked spud,
joriandrake: (whats a spud?)
Smon: That was a DEX check Jorian
DESTROYERBILL: its a potato
chris107: (Potato)
joriandrake: oh
Smon: SB & S race past the warbeasts. Arbalests and ballistae twang...
Sandor Sunneson: (few minutes away yet)
Smon: Meanwhile Moffet sneaks to the corner & peaks down the tunnel... Moffet roll perception DC 18
Smon: /roll d2

chris107:
DESTROYERBILL: nice knowing you
Sandor Sunneson: not divided by 2
Sandor Sunneson: lol
joriandrake: (i hope you know Prisha's abilities )
Smon: You didn't rage? OK then 173 dmg
Sandor Sunneson: After all those potions I'm back at full
Sandor Sunneson: I did rage
Sandor Sunneson: we both raged
chris107: yeah, sure they did
Sandor Sunneson: sorry meant that not divided by 2
Smon: 173/2= 86 dmg. Why did you say "Not divided by 2" ????
joriandrake: he did, but I don't know why he wrote "not divided by two" either
Sandor Sunneson: missed out the word not
chris107: still whopping damage
Sandor Sunneson: 87 damage
Sandor Sunneson: 58 left
Smon: OK SB & S see the parapet guarding the north tunnel is packed w duergar arbalesters now reloading, SB can just fly over them if desired, Sandor could shin up a ladder.
chris107: Moffet strains to hearany commotion that could herald his new friends return.
Smon: Moffet hears a commotion from the cavern.
DESTROYERBILL: yes i fly
chris107: He dares to peek around again., keeping low
joriandrake: (can he drag Sandor above them?)
Smon: SB flaps over the parapet, landing in the tunnel beyond the wall which now shields SB from most of the duergar army.
joriandrake: (oh shit... that means only Sandor remained as target)
Sandor Sunneson: Can Sandor not get a lift with him?
chris107: Seems a bit off not to carry Sandor.
Smon: Sandor do you want to climb the ladder? It takes 80' of move to get up onto the parapet, I'll give you DC 15 athletics to also vault the parapet.
Smon: If he had been carrying Sandor he couldn't have done that so it's moot.
Sandor Sunneson: ok, I shall climb the parapet
joriandrake: ...
Sandor Sunneson rolls 1d20+9 and gets: 13, (+9) = 22
chris107: yay!
Smon: OK Sandor races up ladder & leaps the parapet, a few duergar swinging at him with swords & axes as he goes.

joriandrake: Prisha and Harlgrim go up after Moffat shouts, aware and ready (andPrisha behind Harl) while Seroni is at the back to keep rearguard)
Smon: DC 21 to spot Moffet - SB you see Moffet peek out 100' away up the passage where it turns.
joriandrake: "They might need aid"
Smon: SB races away, wings flapping.
Smon: The duergar are able to shoot at Sandor before he can get away
Smon: /roll d20x16

DESTROYERBILL: i only go 40 and try to shhot
chris107: Moffet draws his little sword and once prisha and co are on their way he races back to help Sandor and Shieldbiter
joriandrake: (shooting better than fleeing, yes)
Smon: They all miss - GM SB and Sandor can get away now if you want
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor gets away from the ark midgets
Sandor Sunneson: dark midgets
Smon: SB decides to stand there shooting
DESTROYERBILL Rolls 1d20+15x2 and gets:
9 (+15) = 24
3 (+15) = 18
joriandrake: Prisha and the others will wait a bit back in the tunnel hearing all the commotion, when spotting Moffet she'll ask what is happening
DESTROYERBILL rolls 1d12+7 and gets: 7, (+7) = 14
Smon: A duergar screams and falls from the parapet shot by SB as Sandor turns the corner & rejoins the others.
chris107: "They are coming, get back over the bridge and we'll catch you up. I must go help if I can."
joriandrake: Prisha listens to the halfling as Sandor turns the cornar and meets up wit hthem, she is shocked to see him this much wounded
chris107: "Shieldbiter! Come on! We must leave."
Smon: 15 Duergar shoot back at SB, now AC 19
joriandrake: (Sandor is out of danger now you can retreat safely too Bill)
Smon: /roll 15d20

chris107: ouch
Smon: 94/2 = 47 dmg
Sandor Sunneson:
Smon: The dwarves duck down to reload
Smon: SB hears Moffet yelling & P talking in brackets.
DESTROYERBILL: i round the coner
chris107: "Come on!"
Smon: SB grabs his shield and runs round the corner.
chris107: "This way, we're going to take news back to Ahyf "
Smon: GM: You head back to Ahyf?
DESTROYERBILL: yes
joriandrake: "Sandor, SB, quickly decide now! Run for the other route or flee back out entirelly?" Prisha is panicked seeing the two warriors fleeing and this much hurt. THey know the best if worth risking the other route or to leave right now
Sandor Sunneson: Can we not go and rest somewhere ? short rest?
Smon: GM: Your small band hurries away from the slightly depleted Duergar army.
chris107: "You too look like pin cushings!" Giggles Moffet.
joriandrake: Prisha follows whichever way theey go
chris107: "Aye, whichever you feel is best. I'll follow."
chris107: "But I think we should send word of their strength to Ahyf."
Sandor Sunneson: That is true,
joriandrake: "They alreadyk now its a whole army down here. They told us before wel eft"
Sandor Sunneson: The Queen needs to know, but I feel like striking back
Smon: GM: You hurry back north through the Underdark.
chris107: "What are we doing then?"
Sandor Sunneson: I think we should short rest and strike back
chris107: "Someone has to take command."
Sandor Sunneson: so Sandor can get his HP back, Bill/Chris?
joriandrake: "Well, if we go back now we won't have either the girl nor artifacts"
Sandor Sunneson: Exactly
Sandor Sunneson: I say we short rest and then head back
joriandrake: Prisha can still heal Sandor a bit, but I don't think to full health, and nothing for SB left then
Sandor Sunneson: unless someone can heal Sandor to about 90HP
DESTROYERBILL: we should leave heal come back
Sandor Sunneson: Ok, short rest heal?
Sandor Sunneson: Or leave Ahyf heal back?
chris107: "Go back to Ahyf and leave the girl to her fate?"
joriandrake: Prisha nods "Int hat case lets head out, take a short rest outside before we continue, I will use my remaining power to heal as much I can"
Smon: GM: after about 35 minutes you reach the cavern with the stream & bridge.
DESTROYERBILL: to win this war is to wither their forces till no more stand
chris107: "Then they will surely kill the gorl? Can't we find another way in like Maglor suggested?"
Smon: Seroni: "We should consult with Maglor - he'll know what to do."
Sandor Sunneson: I think we go up the other path that didn't lead to the main cavern
joriandrake: "The girl.... I don't think we can reach or rescue her with everyone alarmed, even if we get to her we all mmight not make it out alive anyway. I hope we can find her later, even if as a corpse so I can still revive her though" Prisha looks sad as she considers the options, none are good
chris107: (My inner Maglor is screaming what to do but he's not here  )
DESTROYERBILL: one life for a thousend is a small but hard price to pay
chris107: "I agree with Prince Sandor."
Sandor Sunneson: I think we try the other path after we've rested
Smon: GM: Did you want to short rest in the stream cave?
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor will start to rest
joriandrake: "As you wish, I said I leave the decision to you"
chris107: "Let's rest here, set a watch down to the south while our mighty warriors heal, then look for a second way."
joriandrake: (it seems we camp there, yes)
chris107: @GM that would be my vote
Sandor Sunneson: lets do it then
Smon: you start to rest
chris107: Moffet will offer to go watch as he's unhurt. Perhaps with Seroni who's eyes are keen?
Smon: /roll d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets: 6,
joriandrake: "Well... shall I use the remaining power of Meroya to heal you now?" Prisha asks the warriors "I will keep a spark left for reviving though"
chris107: 100' south so we can give warning.
Smon: /roll d100
Smon rolls 1d100 and gets: 21,
joriandrake: (random encounter, great)
Smon: GM: Moffet roll perception & stealth pls
chris107: (Simon's infamous 6's!  )
chris107: in that order
chris107 rolls 1d20+6 and gets: 2, (+6) = 8
chris107 rolls 1d20+9 and gets: 5, (+9) = 14
joriandrake: (damn, a 2, probably worse for halflings than an 1 roll due to Lucky)
chris107: bugger
Sandor Sunneson: How many HP does SB have left Bill?
chris107: yeah
DESTROYERBILL: 128
Smon: GM: Moffet is on guard down the south corridor, but doesn't spot the stealthy duergar approaching until they're nearly on him...
DESTROYERBILL: taken 100
chris107: "Arrgghh!"
Smon: duergar point man perception check...
DESTROYERBILL: well 92
Smon: /roll d20+4
Smon rolls 1d20+4 and gets: 14, (+4) = 18
Smon: The duergar actually manage to spot Moffet before he spots them!
joriandrake: (crap)
Smon: Halfway through the short rest, arbalests suddenly twang in the darkness...
Smon: /roll 3d6+2
Smon rolls 3d6+2 and gets: 4, 4, 5, (+2) = 15
Smon: 15 can shoot
chris107: wow
Smon: Moffet has cover so +2 AC
joriandrake: (crap)
chris107: AC23 then
Smon: 20 to hit then
Smon: /roll 15d20
Smon rolls 15d20 and gets: 2, 12, 5, 16, 5, 5, 13, 14, 10, 12, 13, 16, 16, 14, 2, = 155
joriandrake: (yay)
chris107: "CRIPES!"
Smon: Bolts bounce and crash off the walls around Moffet, a couple deflect off his armour.
chris107: "LLLOOOOKKKK OOOOUUUTTTTTT!"
Smon: Woken from his slight daze, he makes out dim shapes beyond the 60' range of his darkvision.
Sandor Sunneson: Ok Bill, we both need to rest then
Smon: The duergar of course can see him clearly and are likely reloading.
joriandrake: "I think this means we have no way back to the other route now" Prisha remarks grimly
DESTROYERBILL: you meen attack
DESTROYERBILL: mean
chris107: Moffet moves back, shield facing the enemy, using the rugged wall for cover and shouting a warning to his friends
Smon: To the north in the cave the swift flowing waters tumble & gurgle under the bridge.
Sandor Sunneson: Bloody hell, lol
Smon: Is Moffet not fleeing then?
chris107: 50' is his double move.
chris107: strategic withdrawl
Smon: The others hear yelling from down the tunnel.
chris107: (when you only move 25' fleeing is rarely a wise option)
joriandrake: "Everyone get together, either to flee or to fight, I can cast a last empowere mass healing so better to stand together"
Smon: Is Moffet fleeing north at full rate or not?
chris107: No as I typed above
joriandrake: (remember option to dodge)
Sandor Sunneson: Lets do it. Sandor gets ready to exp a mass heal
chris107: hris107: Moffet moves back, shield facing the enemy, using the rugged wall for cover and shouting a warning to his friends
Smon: Would you like to take Dodge action then Moffet?
Smon: AC 23 & disad on their shots
chris107: can I do that and move 50'?
joriandrake: (Mass cure wounds + beacon actually)
Smon: no
chris107: if so, yes please
joriandrake: (I wish I had actual Mass Heal)
Smon: dodge + 25' or flee 50'
chris107: 25' and dodge then please
Smon: ok
chris107: 25+D
joriandrake: Prisha casts beacon meanwhile, concentrates on it, follows everyone towards Moffat
Smon: 8 more shots up the tunnel at M as he falls back
Smon: /roll d20x16
Smon Rolls 1d20x10 and gets:
17 = 17
16 = 16
5 = 5
13 = 13
18 = 18
1 = 1
14 = 14
15 = 15
17 = 17
5 = 5
joriandrake: "This will be the last battle here for us tonight, so I will try my best to heal oyu, please try your best not to get more wounded"
Sandor Sunneson: I think the option of high AC is crucial, think I might get Sandor to change to full plate
Smon: no shots come close. Moffet hears yelling in Dwarf from down the tunnel.
Smon: Moffet still backing up?
DESTROYERBILL: you cant rage in full plate
chris107: Yes please, same again 25' and dodge
joriandrake: (Full plate might be a good idea until you can max out AC by COn and Dex bonus for barb)
Smon: /roll 2d6
Smon rolls 2d6 and gets: 4, 3, = 7
chris107: (Barbs max medium armour)
Smon: Moffet falls back down the corridor
Smon: Moffet gimme an Init roll DC 12
Sandor Sunneson: ah,
chris107 rolls 1d20+5 and gets: 10, (+5) = 15
joriandrake: (he can still wear full plate, I believe the negatives are not a big deal for a barbarian)
Smon: Moffet retreats back into the cavern before the duergar can fire again.
joriandrake: (the lack of feat negatives*)
DESTROYERBILL: not a big deal a huge deal
Smon: Moffet can roll INT
chris107: with prof?
DESTROYERBILL: no rage or any barb abieulty
joriandrake: I assume everyone is readied (Prisha only has shield up back front)
chris107 rolls 1d20+1 and gets: 3, (+1) = 4
joriandrake: (back row)
chris107: hehe
Smon: Great rolls tonight
joriandrake: indeed
chris107: yeah opp of this morning
Smon: GM: In the distance you hear a duergar war horn blowing.
Smon: Seroni: "They've found us! We should get out of here!"
DESTROYERBILL: that means time to run
joriandrake: "Not without the halfling!"
chris107: Moffet steps to the side letting the walls protect him from more shots.
Smon: Harlgrimm: "That tunnel's only 20' wide - we can hold them here! Bondor count the dead!"
Smon: Moffet can fall back into the bridge cave like I said
Sandor Sunneson: Might just be a patrol
joriandrake: "They have ranged weapons, strong ones, we barely have any ourselves. No, we get the halfling and we're out of here"
Sandor Sunneson: Gte your goggles on folks and ranged weapons
chris107: "I'm here!" Moffet waves to illustrate his point.
chris107: "We can not outshoot them."
Smon: Seroni: "Hello Moffet!"
joriandrake: Prisha offers her light crossbow for others to take
joriandrake: "I need my hands free for the spells"
DESTROYERBILL: i guese but they can easily shoot over
Sandor Sunneson: How many?
Smon: Seroni: "Well I'm not staying here!"
chris107: "Hello Seroni, you look nice. Have you done something with your hair?"
joriandrake: Stop: Prisha casts Mass cure wounds when everyone is in the area of it
Smon: Seroni heads over the bridge, heading for the north exit.
chris107: "Either we fight them hand to hand or we flee."
Sandor Sunneson: How many were there?
Smon: Moffet can roll Persuasion vs Seroni
chris107: "Well they've just sounded the alarm so soon I'd guessabout 400?"
joriandrake: 3x8+3
chris107 rolls 1d20+3 and gets: 7, (+3) = 10
joriandrake: 27 hp healed for all in range
Sandor Sunneson: thank you Prisha
Smon: (ok J)
joriandrake: (Sandor, Moffat, Shieldbiter, ect)
Smon: Seroni & Harlgrmm are on full
joriandrake: "NOW we flee!"
chris107: "Are we fighting or running?"
joriandrake: Prisha almost shrieks that from the stress and being scared
chris107: Moffet looks at his little legs sadly
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor is ready to fight
joriandrake: "shieldbiter, grab the halfling and fly"
Smon: Seroni ignores Moffet's compliment but nods to P. "The priestess speaks truth! Flee you fools!"
DESTROYERBILL: k
joriandrake: "Sandor, let's go, I can barely give any support now"
DESTROYERBILL: i grab moffet
Sandor Sunneson: Ok, we flee
chris107: "Arrgghhh!"
Smon: SB picks up Moffet, he weighs almost nothing.
Smon: Piggyback halfling ride?
chris107: cool
joriandrake: "(I have 3 spell slots left, 1 lvl 1 for Healing Word or Bless, 1 lvl 3 for Revivify, and 1 lvl5 for better revive spell)
Smon: GM: You hurriedly retreat north, the duergar's little legs no match for you. Occasionally you hear noises in the distance, but it seems you outpace your pursuers and that night you reach the sewers of Ahyf once more.
Smon: The guards at the exit nod. "The Queen wishes to speak with you as soon as you have cleaned up."
chris107: Moffet says a quick thank you to Alinah for keeping him safe. He didn't take a single wound and is feeling a bit guilty as he looks at his friends.
joriandrake: "I think I understand now why the halfing considers longer legs better." Prisha remarks as they leave the dwarves behind "and not only for an erotic reason"
chris107: Moffet blushes
joriandrake: "Maybe you should consider to buy something like ariding dog" Prisha ponders the options of a mount for smallfolk
chris107: "No thank you Mrs. Prisha. My brother used to ride a dog many years ago and he came to a sticky end."
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor gets himself ready to meet the Queen
joriandrake: Prisha bids farewell from the others and prepares herself into a presentable state
chris107: Moffet wipes his hands down his pants and is ready.
joriandrake: Prisha washes herself with the help of Esmalia and takes a different dress, then goes to meet up
chris107: He rattles on about his wicked brother and the outlaw band at Springle
Smon: GM: You are escorted to quarters in the town hall where you can freshen up before being presented to queen Malenn & her elven vizier Maglor n the throneroom.
DESTROYERBILL: i do nothing to get ready
chris107: "Our Dad always said he'd come to a bad end."
Sandor Sunneson: Was he eaten by a dragon Sandor will ask?
DESTROYERBILL: i just leave all the blood and sweat on me
Smon: In the well appointed throneroom wise Queen Malenn waits, looking grave. Malenn: "What news from the Underdark?"
chris107: "No. That was my friend Dinas. Did I tell you the story?"
Sandor Sunneson: We are all alive your majesty
chris107: "Oops, sorry."
joriandrake: "Prisha greets her but waits for others to give their reports first
Sandor Sunneson: Myself and SB had a lucky escape, they have a huge army there
chris107: "There was lots of 'em."
DESTROYERBILL: killed a few
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor will tell the story
chris107: "why they shot Mr. Shieldbiter and Prince Sandor so full of arrows they looked like Hedgehogs!"
Sandor Sunneson: I think we could pick them off in raids
Smon: Malenn nods: "The prisoner Snogrim has spoken of a great army, a gathering of many Kazadurgar clans."
Sandor Sunneson: Does he know their long term plans?
chris107: "I think we're on a hiding to nothing trying to fight them."
DESTROYERBILL: i think strong quick atackes to wither them is the best idea one life for a thousand is are only option
Sandor Sunneson: Strange fighting in caverns too, don't think you ever get away from them
chris107: "Why no doubt Mr. Shieldbiter and Prince Sandor will come back from the fights everytime. But the rest of us wont be so lucky. And we wont find the girl or their artefacts that way."
Sandor Sunneson: Who are their dwarven enemies? Maybe that would work? An underground war using their knowledge of fighting in such conditions?
chris107: "Ask Seroni about how much their arrows hurt."
Sandor Sunneson: There must be another way in
Sandor Sunneson: The other path that leads away from the cavern
chris107: "That Mr.Maglor told us as much!"
Smon: Malenn nods to Sandor. "The dwarf says that their high priest Khand has gathered the clans and their priests to secure Maugraign's Hall, perform a great ritual and awaken the Dark God."
chris107: "And that's why we was sent to rescue the girl and take the artefacts!"
chris107: "Not declare war upon them."
Sandor Sunneson: Well shall we return via the other path?
chris107: "To stop this ritual and their dark god rising."
Sandor Sunneson: I need potions of healing, and some ointment if there is any going around
7:50pm  2018-6-30 SugarShark Has entered the room
Sandor Sunneson: If we fight them in narrow corridors and passageways, we should be ok
chris107: Hi Sugar Shark
Sandor Sunneson: Give them space and they get their archers involved
chris107: "Or we don't fight 'em at all you blockhead!"
SugarShark: hey hey
chris107: Moffet is running short on patience
Sandor Sunneson: I meant to get the items
Smon: Father Camus: "There is a Prophecy. The Dark God slumbers, the ashes of his fires unstirred for many centuries, his earthly servants long dead. From the lost place in which he rests, his dreaming eyes look out upon a barren waste and scour the broken land for the messenger come to summon him, come to call him back..."
chris107: "Fighting 'em nearly got you and Mr. Shieldbiter killed."
joriandrake: After everyone else spoke Prisha takes a deep breath while organizing her thoughts and speaks "We got to the dwarven tunnels safely, but they had a lot of troops, patrols. Seroni was spotted almost at the beginning and the alarms went off, the two warriors, Sandor and Shieldbiter went ahead to distract the enemy while I went into the room where Seroni's body was to revive her. The warriors didn't come back, pushed ahead as in the tales of those who berzerk. While they were gone I healed those left behind and when they finally shown up I also tried my best to heal the fighters as well. As the others said I assume at least a thousand if not many thousand of dwarves there. Yes they only seen a few fires and hundreds of them, but it might not be the only gathering place for them. Due to the alarm we had no chance to look for the girl or the artifacts. We had to retreat and planned to rest before attempting to try a different route, but the dwarves fo9llowed us and we had to leave entirelly. I spent basically all my spells on reviving Seroni and healing everyone, I still have a lesser and typical revive spell in reserve tthough."
chris107: Moffets jaw hits the floor
Sandor Sunneson: wonder who this messanger is
Sandor Sunneson: obv the priest
Smon: Malenn listens to you all, especially old Fr Camus' cryptic prophecy and Prisha's long speech. She nods.
joriandrake: "She won't be alive most likely at the time we go back....but perhaps she might still be revived."
DESTROYERBILL: dont call me mr shield biter or ill make you only moff
Smon: Camus: "I believe the Duergar leader Khand considers himself the Messenger, come to awaken the Dark God - a Primordial force of terrible power!"
chris107: "If the ritual has taken place then we have failed."
chris107: "We must stop this Dark God rising."
chris107: "And finding the artefacts and hopefully the girl is the way we'll do that. Not fighting armies in tunnels."
joriandrake: "...and I doN't like to even mention this option, but if you believe the girl's sacrifice is worth it, and if this is possible, perhaps flooding the whole underground through the sewers could greatly weaken or even fully get rid of the dwarves?"
Smon: Camus: "I fear that if the Awakening had already taken place, we would certainly know about it. But though I serve the God of Knowledge I know little of the ancient Dwarven myths."
Sandor Sunneson: There might be soldiers in tunnels on the way to the girl and artefacts
chris107: Moffet looks at the dragonborn in some confusion.
Sandor Sunneson: I suggest we go back, use more stealth, stay together as a group, keep to the small spaces, not large open areas where masses can attack us
Smon: GM: Moffet reckoned the great cavern was at least 8 miles south of Ahyf, obviously beyond the sewers.
joriandrake: "If Ahyf can flood all of that place spellcasters with Waterbreathing could go in and take the artifacts and the girl's body, like some pearl divers"
Sandor Sunneson: SB what you think??
Smon: Camus: "There must be other approaches to Maugraign's Hall - but I do not know them."
joriandrake: (It might be far, but if it gets flooded the water will reach it anyway in a few hours)
Smon: (I have no idea why you think it might be floodable)
chris107: "That's a lot of water Mrs. Prisha...."
DESTROYERBILL: i agree
chris107: "And we were on the rise. Going up into the Ghinarian hills if I remember right?"
DESTROYERBILL: sandor
joriandrake: "Well, we have Ahyf here, eccass to sewer water and a sea. I doN't know if it is floodable though, not sure about height difference or rifts and somesuch on the way"
Sandor Sunneson: We need to go back, keep away from large spaces, find the princess and artefacts that way
Smon: Seroni: "Yes. I think the elevation rose, at least a little. Obviously could not be flooded."
Smon: "Not from here, at least."
DESTROYERBILL: okay
chris107: "Could e send scouting parties of local men to look in the general direction we know's the cave to be?"
joriandrake: (I had the idea because we went in there throug hte sewers and it was deeper than the swewers as far I un derstand)
joriandrake: Prisha nods
joriandrake: (Was worth an idea tho)
Sandor Sunneson: Your Majesty, I am willing to go back, my reckee mission worked, killed 6 and came back, fought them on my terms and conditions
chris107: (2 mins need a tea, gasping in the heat here )
joriandrake: "I wouldn't mind going back, better prepared though. However, as cleric I won't me much use until I can prepare new divine spells. That means about a week"
joriandrake: be*
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor thinks that could be too late, but shrugs
Smon: Malenn listens to you all. "I know a Dwarf, Kogol of Kolda, an adventurer and delver, now a Lord of the Ghinarian Hills. He might know more - perhaps another way to approach this Maugraign's Hall?"
joriandrake: "If the girl dies now, after a week I am not able to revive her anymore, but if we go back now, I won't be able to do anything else than use my reserved revive spells"
Smon: Camus: "Kogor, your Majesty. Kogor of Kolda."
joriandrake: "Kogol? a new way of approach might be best, considering they know where we came and left from"
joriandrake: "...or Kogor, whichever name Queen Malenn prefers" She smiles weakly
chris107: back
Smon: Camus: "Kogor rules the village of Theber. I suggest you might visit him, ask his aid?"
Sandor Sunneson: Happy to ride their ASAP,
Sandor Sunneson: On my elven steads
Sandor Sunneson: steeds
chris107: Maglor nods his agreement. Kogor would know.
DESTROYERBILL: ill ride my blue dragon there
Sandor Sunneson: How many can it hold SB?
chris107: Moffet pales a little at the mention of a Blue Dragon....
Smon: Malenn nods. "My impression from our captive was that they expect the search for the artifacts to complete the ceremony to take weeks, and their prisoner is safe until then. So we should have time for you to rest and restore your strength."
joriandrake: "I don't mind leaving now, right away. We can rest there or on the way or whatever. sadly we lost our best chance already so losing time as well is not a good idea."
DESTROYERBILL: i can only me and moffet on
joriandrake: She then nods "If we have multiple weeks left then maybe this can still be salvaged"
joriandrake: "Moffet can ride Shielldbiter again, while he rides that blue dragon"
Smon: OOC taking 10 minute tea break.
Sandor Sunneson: Ok, I'll go on elven stead in the morning
Sandor Sunneson: cool,
joriandrake: "Sandor has those steeds, I beleive I've seen them at the tower before, we can use those"
joriandrake: "How many do you have Sandor? Enough for the rest of us?"
Sandor Sunneson: 3 I tink
8:09pm  2018-6-30 SugarShark Has exited the room
joriandrake: "Hm, perhaps some of us can share a mount. Seroni and I should be okay with one steed."
Sandor Sunneson: checked on character sheet, is 3
joriandrake: "we cfould use normal horses or even a wagon, but that would slow us down" Prisha ponders the possible options
joriandrake: "Though, using a wagon would grant us a mobile resting place"
joriandrake: (Idea taken from Bochi's campaign Chris  )
chris107: (  )
joriandrake: (We still have a hour or two this session, so perhaps we can actuall IC go there already?)
chris107: (I'd hope so, and find a different way down at least)
Smon: OOC map - it's about 30 miles Ahyf to Theber where Kogor rules - https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDgrzxKvrvijaTNmqEjb4TGK1GgMAhbFlDVtqU1wGrV2N4riTo49ZFRGSRpfqjgN9hmSPCs2xNRH0Lv_QC0cGHK-lzBgMRdq79tJv9otd0Bq9KJcnMa-cM_a9ttXb7eQMhRMUNyJGhDt8/s640/Ghinarian%252BHills.jpg
chris107: (OOC Simon, did you see the Badaboskar canon location?)
DESTROYERBILL: that alcatrix you speak about thats the blue dragon i ride
chris107: Moffet looks horrified!
Smon: (I know where Fortress Badabaskor is Chris, yes)
chris107: "But he ate my friend!"
DESTROYERBILL: want to see him
chris107: (The one Bob Bledhaw II just posted?)
chris107: "By the Gods, no!"
Smon: (no, the one Rob Conley set)
DESTROYERBILL: yeah come on see him
chris107: "That wicked beast was going to kill Mrs. Queen and it ate my frien Dinas Emrys!"
chris107: (Ah)
joriandrake: Prisha just stares at the two as the events with the dragon unfold
DESTROYERBILL: i bet he will be so happy to see you
chris107: "You can bugger right off."
Smon: (It's the same location Rob Conley used in his 2005/6 3e version Chris)
Smon: (I see)
chris107: (Ah, cool)
DESTROYERBILL: dont be shy
chris107: ""I'll go up there with Mrs. Prisha. I'm not going near that foul creature."
chris107: "Less it's to cut his throat."
DESTROYERBILL: i go to my dragon
joriandrake: Prisha planned to ride with Seroni on a steed, maybe Seroni can fly instead and be a Sky Scout
chris107: "Golden Queen. You would allow the evil creature that would have slain your sister, that killed my friend to be here in your fair city?"
Smon: GM: SB mounts up and takes to flight. Moffet & co see a small blue dragon that looks almost but not quite unlike mighty Alcatrix as it flies east over Ahyf towards Theber.
chris107: "He's wicked. That's what he is." Storms the little Hobbit.
joriandrake: "Call me a pragmatist, but as long a dragon is on our side it is better to keep it close and with eyes on"
Smon: "almost but not quite unlike" should have been "almost but not quite entirely unlike" - Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy tea reference in honour of me cuppa.
joriandrake:
chris107:
Smon: Malenn sighs. "The Dragonborn has a strange sense of humour. I hear he found a baby blue dragon amidst the sea cliffs of Oricha."
joriandrake: "In that case this can't be the same one you spoke of"
chris107: "Teasing an old Hobbit. It's just not right. Now are we going to stop this Dark God or what?"
Smon: Malenn: "To my knowledge, Alcatrix still dwells a thousand miles from here, in the northern wastes."
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor is mounted up and heads off to see Kogor
chris107: Moffet bows to the Golden Queen. "Yourmajesty is as gracious as I would expect. Thank you."
Smon: GM: Shieldbiter flies over his old dominion - the dragon blasted ruins of Trade, the abandoned lizardman caves to the south... memories...
chris107: Moffet rushes to catch a lift with the big folk while he can.
joriandrake: Prisha talks with Seroni to decide who goes with whom, as a mount might be able to hold two riders
Smon: GM: Cutting a long story short, after a bit of rest around dawn next day you all reach Theber and are welcomed by her lord, the mighty dwarf warrior Kogor of Kolda. Scantily clad concubines serve you refreshments.
chris107: Maglor (quietly) to Seroni. "Be carful I fear this will not be easy."
Smon: Kogor: "So, what's all this about my friends? Trouble in Ahyf again?"
joriandrake: Prisha feels an urge to check the court at Theber for curses watching the concubines
chris107: "Below it."
chris107: "I knew a dwarf once."
Sandor Sunneson: The dark dwarfs are growing an army Kolda, Sandor will explain the story
Smon: Kogor https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBmUZpDfOkii8EAVoGU353dN_N3LVV3J_NH7gK3cO6_FdWyiUgpBu495xiIRAKHZPvZP1QwiKWFRHqJF6bU7mIwOp0rkVkYolRUMs4j0NMMNEdG7jcNJ5oOVidmw4dmWXKsHtaaMrMrwnF/s320/Kogor,+Dwarf+Veteran.jpg
chris107: "Do you have a map?"
chris107: "I'll show you where we think ythe trouble is. Perhaps you could help us find a way down?"
Smon: Kogor: "I have heard of Lord Maugraign's Hall. An ancient place, from before the Sundering of the Dwarven races."
chris107: "Well that sounds hopeful."
Smon: Kogor strokes his beard. "They say it is build north of a great underground river, that runs from east to west, before turning towards the sea. There are many such flows beneath the Ghinarian Hills, and ways to follow the waters down into the Darkness."
chris107: "We saw a river!"
chris107: "Maybe we could go in a boat?"
Smon: "Indeed. Possibly a tributary, if you were north of the Hall?"
chris107: "we were. About 2 miles north."
joriandrake: "Underground river? Could that be used to flood their army?"
Smon: "Be warned, there are often waterfalls, narrow places, and such... but still it might be possible to follow your stream to the main river, then upriver to where it flows by the Halls... avoiding the Kazadurgar army, perhaps."
Smon: He looks at Prisha. "Dwarves do not build Halls that can be Flooded."
chris107: Moffet is quite excited by the idea of sailing past all the dwarves.
joriandrake: (I guess I woN't be able to use ancient Japanese/Chinese war tactics then)
chris107: "Let's try it!"
chris107: "My friend Tor Caradoc nearly drowned once. We were stuck in this room and the water just kept rising!"
Smon: Kogor: "So, if you follow the stream you found west, with luck it will connect to the main flow. Follow that upstream 2 miles or so, then look for paths north towards the Halls. There will certainly be a bridge over the river, if the legends speak true."
DESTROYERBILL: prisha do you have any attack spells
chris107: Moffet writes the diections down just incase.
Sandor Sunneson: As long as we lkeep to the confined spaces and not large open areas, I believe we ave the best chance
Smon: Kogor nods. "Aye. I recommend you take light rafts and some paddles."
chris107: "Then it all tipped out and we went tumbling into a room full of Ghouls. It was pretty horrid."
joriandrake: "not really Shieldbiter, not normally, and right now especially not. I usually use Meroya's Blessing to aid others in combat, heal allies, or revive them, rarely to confuse enemies or summon Meroya's katara"
Smon: Kogor has a girl light up his favourite pipe, and puffs sagely.
chris107: "Canoes!"
DESTROYERBILL: who wants soft barrel cherry cheese
Smon: Kogor: "Cheese? I like a good cheese."
chris107: Moffet looks longingly at the pipe. It has been so many years since he even saw one.
DESTROYERBILL: here you go
Smon: Kogor munches the cheese. "Hmm... tingly."
Smon: Kogor examines his fingertips, touches an ear. "Odd."
joriandrake: Prisha notices the halfling's longing stare
Smon: "Girl, bring our hobbit guest my spare pipe, and the Winstron's Old Peculiar tobacco."
joriandrake: and makes a mental note of it
chris107:
chris107: "Oh my! Thank you so much."
Smon: The shapely concubine swiftly fetches Moffet an ornate dwarf pipe and some Bisituni hobbit tobacco.
chris107: Moffet looks for a comfortable seat.
Smon: Kogor gestures to a smoking chair.
Sandor Sunneson: Sandor chills, thinking of the next day ahead
chris107: pfft-pfft "Mmmmmmmmmmm"
Smon: Kogor: "If you survive your quest, do tell me what you find in Maugraign's Hall. There are legends, of Grun the Creator, who some say came even before Kazadarum..."
chris107: "We could come and stay with you a while and share the stories perhaps? "
Smon: "...They say he sits ever unmoving in his vast throne, somewhere deep beneath the earth. Perhaps Maugraign's Hall is that place."
chris107: "I have been fighting for such a long time. It would be good to sit with pleasant company and a pipe."
joriandrake: "If we survive this, maybe that Hall will need a new administration."
Smon: Kogor nods, smiles. "Always happy to share the hospitality of Theber!"
chris107: "That sounds familiar. What did that Camus fellow say to us? The prophesy?"
Smon: Kogor looks over at Prisha. "A beautiful dream, to be sure."
DESTROYERBILL: i eat the gaffets black cheese
chris107: (OOC we are sleeping here then back to the cavern/bridge/river on the morrow?)
Sandor Sunneson: OOC- forward onto next day?
DESTROYERBILL rolls 1d20-3 and gets: 9, (-3) = 6
Smon: Kogor: "Hmm... the Prophechy? That Lord Maugraign, first of the mortal Dwarf Lords, bound the Dark God, and used His strength to forge the mightiest artifacts of legend?"
chris107: "That's the one!"
joriandrake: "...we heard of some artifacts"
chris107: "These fellows are trying to free that same Dark God."
Smon: SB for a moment thinks he sees a ghostly figure of an old man emerge from the wall - then it's gone.
Smon: (ending at 10pm BTW)
chris107: (cool)
joriandrake: (was a bout to say that I start to feel tired)
Smon: Kogor frowns at Moffet's words. "The Kazdurgar have no idea what Powers they're dealing with. Their arrogance will be their undoing. You mark my words!"
chris107: "We will do our best to stop them Kogor."
Smon: GM: Finishing up - Kogor welcomes you to enjoy the hospitality of Theber, you can take a long rest and get ready for your next attempt on Maugraign's Hall.
Sandor Sunneson: Cool, cheers Simon
chris107: Thanks Simon, guys
Smon: Queen Malenn can easily provide you a couple small canoes & paddles.
DESTROYERBILL: i eat speckle root hard cheese and i give some to the others "half the time needed for short/long rest"
chris107: Moffet looks forward to that. He tried to get a canoe off Mrs. Queen years ago!
Smon: You can have 2000 XP each.
chris107: "Thank you. That's very nice cheese."
joriandrake: ok, thanks
Smon: GM: With the cheese you'll only need another 3 days' rest.
joriandrake: good night all, bye, Chris I guess I see you tomorrow again at Bochi's?
Sandor Sunneson: Any healing potions about for Sandor to buy?
Smon: S&W game 8pm Monday
Smon: /roll 2d4
Sandor Sunneson: Be it in Ahyf or here?
Smon rolls 2d4 and gets: 4, 1, = 5
joriandrake: ah, I want to rrefill on potions too
Smon: Yes, Ahyf has 5 potions total available
Sandor Sunneson: I'll take them
chris107: G'night Jorian. I'm not sure I can make it tomorrow again
joriandrake: Prisha asks for one, the rest can be bought by Sandor
Smon: SB flies south to Oricha, home of amazing cheese...
joriandrake: (oh)
Sandor Sunneson: ok, cool
Sandor Sunneson: Working in Sunderland on Monday, will hope to be back and playing for 7pm
joriandrake: (that cheese would come in really hands for a cleric if that also shortens time required for spell fill up)
chris107: There's abig concert in our local park.
joriandrake: handy*
chris107: That would be excellent for spell casters!
Smon: 120 miles flight to Imp Brucke and the amazing chaos cheese...
joriandrake: ok, i can barely think now, gtg, cya
Smon: Yes it halves long rest for everything
Smon: bye all!
chris107: G'night
